The System Awakens: Rise of the Champion
Chapter 305: The Golden Dragon Emperor
Chapter 305: Chapter 305: The Golden Dragon Emperor
"Anyone else want to try claiming the spear?" Damian asked, tapping the Celestial Golden Dragon resting on his shoulder while looking toward the Star Dragon of the East and the Scorch Dragon of the South.
His words carried an unmistakable sense of provocation, as though he were mocking them and daring them to step forward, touch the golden spear, and attempt to earn its acknowledgment.
And the two dragons knew it as well.
It was futile.
The ruling dragons had already realized that the spear had chosen its master.
There was no doubt about it.
The Celestial Dragon Spear had chosen the Heavenly Son, the greatest being in the universe by all accounts.
Which meant Damian was about to use it to become the next Golden Dragon Emperor, the true and sole ruler of the entire mighty dragon race.
Damian paid no attention to their bewildered and stunned expressions. Instead, he turned his focus back to the spear in his hand.
The Celestial Dragon Spear trembled gently, radiating powerful vibrations and energy.
It almost seemed excited to be held by him.
Damian could feel its emotions.
A small smile appeared on his face.
"Yeah, I know how you feel... Thank you for choosing me."
As though responding to his words, the Celestial Dragon Spear released a low, resonant hum.
The next moment, a small wave of golden light spread from its body, illuminating Damian’s face with a warm, golden glow and making his already beautiful appearance seem even more otherworldly.
Damian slowly raised the spear above his head.
And then, in the next instant...
BOOOOOOM!
The golden light erupting from the spear suddenly exploded with overwhelming intensity, spreading across the entire area like the birth of an intense Big Bang.
The entire Golden Dragon Palace was engulfed in golden radiance.
Everything, from the grand palace to the surrounding space, was submerged beneath a dazzling sea of gold.
As if there wasn’t already enough gold in the palace.
The intensity of the illumination was so overwhelming that even the goddesses, Hela included, the ruling dragons, and the Celestial Phoenix Grace were forced to close their eyes.
None of them could withstand the blinding radiance.
Yet the golden light was not ordinary.
It carried something far more profound.
An unfamiliar essence seemed to be embedded within its brilliance, a mysterious power left behind inside the spear by the great Golden Dragon Emperor.
Unlike everyone else, Damian wasn’t bothered by the blinding illumination in the slightest.
His attention was directed toward something entirely different.
He could feel a strange essence flowing out of the Celestial Dragon Spear and entering his very existence.
It was an unfamiliar yet incredibly profound energy.
And it continued to pour into him.
The golden radiance showed no signs of weakening.
Wave after wave of golden light erupted from the spear, spreading throughout the palace and filling the surroundings with its overwhelming brilliance.
At the same time, a unique transformation began to take place within Damian.
His body started to change.
Thick, sharp, shell-like dragon scales suddenly emerged across his skin, spreading over his body like an additional layer of flesh.
The scales were purplish-red in color, forming a natural, organic armor that covered his body.
On his forehead, a pair of draconic horns began to grow.
They were blood red, their appearance resembling blood itself solidified into a pair of sharp, imposing horns.
From his back, a long tail suddenly sprouted, extending several feet behind him.
Its end was sharpened into a blade-like tip, giving the tail a dangerous, predatory appearance.
The pupils of his eyes transformed into vertical slits.
At the same time, his eyes began to glow with a deep, radiant purple light.
The changes continued as Damian’s appearance gradually shifted into something far more draconic.
Something that belonged to a being beyond ordinary dragons.
Suddenly, the golden light radiating from the Celestial Dragon Spear began to twist and turn.
It moved as though possessing a will of its own, changing shape while gathering around Damian’s newly transformed body.
The golden radiance swirled around his draconic figure, responding to the mysterious essence flowing through him.
And finally, the people standing within the Golden Dragon Palace witnessed something they had never seen before.
They saw the Heavenly Son undergo a transformation unlike anything they had imagined.
For the first time, they witnessed Damian’s Dragon Progenitor Form.
Or, more precisely...
His Progenitor Dragon Humanoid Form.
It wasn’t long before something else began to change.
Damian’s humanoid Dragon Progenitor form started to transform once again.
His purplish-red scales turned bright gold, as though they had been molded from the purest gold in existence.
His hair grew longer, its strands turning golden with crimson streaks running through them.
The tip of his draconic tail, which resembled a sword blade, turned silver, similar to the blade of the Celestial Dragon Spear.
The only features that remained unchanged were his draconic horns, which retained their blood-red color, and his purple eyes, which radiated a replenished glow.
Then, the golden radiance finally began to recede, seeping back into his body.
At last, all the inheritance within the Celestial Dragon Spear had been absorbed into his spirit, becoming one with him.
[You have completely assimilated the essence of the Pure Celestial Dragon into your spirituality.]

[Your [Dragon Progenitor] status has evolved into a complete [Celestial Dragon Progenitor].]
[Your authority as the Primordial Progenitor has significantly increased.]

[You have significantly narrowed the gap toward becoming the True Primordial Progenitor.]
"Just a few more races. Once I acquire absolute authority over them, I will become a True Primordial. Then, I can begin the next stage of my plan..."
Damian narrowed his eyes in contemplation before turning his attention back to the spear in his hand.
The weapon seemed even more excited than before, its golden radiance shimmering with an almost palpable sense of joy.
"I like you. I think I’ll keep you by my side."
Damian smiled as he gently rubbed the spear.
Suddenly, the Celestial Dragon Spear broke apart into countless fragments of golden light. The radiant particles surged around his arm before transforming into several golden rings around his biceps.
"Armlets? Nice," Damian muttered.
He then turned his attention toward his women and the ruling dragon, who had once again lowered themselves to their knees in complete respect and obedience.
This time, Damian hadn’t released even the slightest pressure or presence.
His appearance alone was enough to make any dragon tremble.
Yet, it wasn’t fear that compelled them to kneel.
It was instinctive recognition, something deeply rooted in their very origins.
After all, the Golden Dragon Emperor was the father of the dragon race.
And the recognition of one’s progenitor came naturally to every dragon, an instinct deeply embedded within their blood and lineage.
...
While the newly evolved Damian, now standing in his glory as the Golden Dragon Emperor, was dealing with the ruling dragons, something strange was happening within the Egyptian Pantheon.
Temple of Dendera
The Temple of Dendera, also known as the temple and home of Hathor, the Goddess of Love, Beauty, Protection, Healing, and Afterlife Guidance, was usually a peaceful and sacred place.
But today, something was very different.
Several gods and goddesses were kneeling in front of the entrance to Hathor’s holy temple.
"What the hell are you guys doing in front of my home?"
Hathor walked out of her temple with her arms crossed, an annoyed expression on her beautiful face.
Her eyes immediately fell upon a particular god.
She narrowed them.
"What the hell is this, Horus?" Hathor asked.
"Hathor, you are the consort of the Heavenly Son. You are his true love, his wife," Horus, the God of the Sky, Kingship, Protection, Rule, and Rightful Order, said with a serious expression.
"Yeah, obviously. I’m my husband’s wife. So what?" Hathor replied matter-of-factly.
"You know what that means, right?" Horus asked.
Hathor raised an eyebrow.
"It means you can ask him to help us."
"With what exactly?" Hathor asked, pretending not to know what he was talking about, despite knowing perfectly well.
"With Set."
Horus’s expression became even more serious.
"He is threatening war against us. But if the Heavenly Son intervenes, Set will have no choice but to back down."
This time, it was Isis who spoke.
"Hathor, I plead with you."
Isis, the Goddess of Magic, Motherhood, Healing, Life, Wisdom, and Rebirth, as well as the mother of Horus, looked at Hathor with a pleading expression.
"Isis, you, as the Mother Goddess of the pantheon, should know that the Heavenly Son doesn’t care about the internal strife of gods and mortals."
Hathor crossed her arms.
"And as his wife and his true love, I can only abide by his nature."
There was a small grin on her face.
That, however, was a complete lie.
Hathor could simply mention the situation to Damian, and she knew he would deal with it for her instantly.
But where would be the fun in that?
She wanted to drag this out.
She wanted to make the Egyptian gods sweat a little and make this whole situation seem like a much bigger deal than it actually was.
Just for the hell of it.
Besides, she wanted something from Isis.
And judging by the look in the Mother Goddess’s eyes, Isis seemed to know exactly what Hathor wanted.
"Hathor, I plead with you."
Isis reached out and gently held Hathor’s hand.
"I ask you as the Mother Goddess, and also as someone who considers you my daughter."
Her voice remained pleading.
"I know the Heavenly Son would do anything you asked of him."
Hathor’s grin widened.
"Mother Goddess..."
She paused for a moment before looking directly into Isis’s eyes.
"Ever since Set killed Osiris, you haven’t been the same."
Hathor’s voice suddenly became softer.
"Maybe it’s time that changed too."
Those final words were not spoken aloud.
Instead, Hathor silently communicated them to Isis through telepathy.
Isis’s eyes widened.
For a moment, the Mother Goddess simply stared at Hathor in complete shock.
Then, in the next instant, a noticeable redness appeared beneath her eyes and spread across her cheeks.
Her face turned red with embarrassment.
Hathor’s grin widened even further.
It seemed the Mother Goddess had understood exactly what she was suggesting.
