Footsteps sounded outside the door, followed by Su Yunmeng’s voice.

"Auntie, are you asleep?"

Su Yunmeng was about to come in!

Li Yang gave a wry smile. ’Sister Su, why do you always show up at the most critical moments? Do you have any idea how many times you’ve ruined a good thing between me and your aunt?’

"Quick, hide," Zhang Rong told Li Yang, sounding resigned.

With no other choice, Li Yang ducked into the closet. ’This is so frustrating,’ he thought. ’What is going on? Why does this always happen to me?’

Once he was hidden, Zhang Rong made sure nothing looked out of place, then went to open the door.

"Auntie..." Su Yunmeng threw her arms around Aunt Rong. "I don’t want to sleep alone. Can I sleep with you tonight?"

"Yun Meng, what’s wrong?" Zhang Rong asked.

"Our product is going into production soon..." Su Yunmeng said, lying down on the bed with a sigh. "I was just thinking... It’s going to be a huge hit, right?"

Zhang Rong smiled and nodded. "Of course it will."

"But..." Su Yunmeng’s voice dropped. "If our product is a huge success, then... I’ll probably have to be back in the public eye. When that happens, will... will that guy find out? Will he come after us again?"

Aunt Rong stiffened, but she quickly comforted Su Yunmeng. "Yun Meng, we haven’t done anything to provoke him. We’re just minding our own business. You don’t have to worry about him."

Su Yunmeng gave a bitter smile and shook her head. "I don’t want to think about him, but... as long as we’re doing business here, we’re going to attract his attention. He ruined me once; there’s no way he wants to see me get back on my feet. It’s in his best interest for me to stay like this forever."

In truth, Zhang Rong was worried about this too.

"Don’t you worry," Zhang Rong said reassuringly. "So what if he finds out? As long as we can get through this initial phase and get our company on its feet, he might not be a match for us."

Su Yunmeng sounded defeated. "I’m just scared he’ll play dirty. Isn’t that what he did last time?"

"Stop worrying so much," Zhang Rong said through gritted teeth. "We can’t just give up and do nothing for the rest of our lives. Why should we let him win?"

Listening to their conversation from inside, Li Yang sighed. ’Looks like Su Yunmeng is still hung up on this, and she’s really worried. I guess I’ll have to find a way to solve this problem for her.’

The only problem was, Li Yang still had no idea who this man was. He didn’t even know his name.

The two women talked and talked for over an hour, nearly two, before they finally drifted off to sleep.

Li Yang had grown drowsy and was drifting in and out of sleep when the closet door swung open. Zhang Rong was glaring at him. "All right, you can go back to your own room and sleep now."

Li Yang was instantly wide awake. He glanced at the bed and saw Su Yunmeng fast asleep.

’Sigh... Su Yunmeng and I must have been mortal enemies in a past life.’

Feeling utterly defeated, Li Yang could only nod and return to his room.

The next day, while still lost in his dreams, Li Yang received a phone call.

"Where are you?" It was Qiu Yi’s voice on the other end.

"I’m at... What is it?" Li Yang asked.

"Your medicine works wonders!" Qiu Yi said excitedly. "Sister Zhi’s scar is already more than halfway healed! A few more applications and it’ll be completely gone. Get over here, quick. Sister Zhi wants to see you."

That’s when it dawned on him. ’Oh, right. I’m not done with things on Sister Zhi’s end yet.’

"Hang on, I’ll be right there."

He scrambled out of bed, threw on some clothes, and was about to head out.

"What’s the rush?" Zhang Rong had finished making breakfast and shot him a glare. "Eat before you go."

It smelled so good that Li Yang sat down and quickly wolfed down his breakfast. He then gave a wave and said, "Okay, Aunt Rong, I’m heading out now!"

With that, he was already out the door.

Zhang Rong shook her head. As she recalled the previous night’s events, a blush crept onto her cheeks.

’If Yun Meng hadn’t come to my room, I really would have let that kid get lucky last night.’

’But then again, Li Yang isn’t so bad... ’

Li Yang drove his pickup truck over to Sister Zhi’s house.

"It’s a miracle!" Just as Li Yang pushed the door open, Sister Zhi was already on her feet, waving vigorously at him. "I never imagined your medicine would be this incredible! It’s simply magical."

"Let me see?" Li Yang asked.

Sister Zhi wasn’t the least bit shy; models were often like this, after all.

She pulled back her clothes to show him. Sure enough, the scar had faded a great deal.

Li Yang smiled. "Two more applications, at most, and it will have faded completely. That’s excellent."

"It’s incredible..." Sister Zhi said with a beaming smile. "I never would have guessed someone so young could be so capable."

"Sister Zhi, it’s not just my skills that are impressive. Other parts of me are impressive too," Li Yang said with a perfectly straight face.

Sister Zhi burst into laughter. "Oh, you. How big could it possibly be? You think you can scare me with it?"

"You don’t believe me?" Li Yang played along shamelessly. "Want me to show you?"
