"Okay!" Mr. Zhong agreed almost without a second thought, taking the bottle of water with him on his way out.

And today, the elementary school officially let out for vacation!

Summer vacation was here!

It wasn’t until Manager Liu’s construction team arrived that Li Yang snapped out of it.

At the elementary school, they were tearing down the old buildings.

Li Yang stood there, grinning from ear to ear.

He sidled up to Ye Xiu conspiratorially and whispered, "Aunt Xiu, look. The school’s being rebuilt. You must be happy, right?"

Ye Xiu shot him a sideways glance. "And you’re not?"

"Happy? Of course I’m happy!" Li Yang chuckled sheepishly. "But there’s something else I’m even happier about..."

"Get lost!" Ye Xiu, looking a little flustered, shot him a glare. "Say one more word of nonsense and I won’t be so nice."

Li Yang gave another sheepish laugh and said quietly, "Aunt Xiu, about that thing..."

"You’re still talking about it!" Ye Xiu grew anxious. ’There are so many people around! If they found out about my agreement with Li Yang, how could I ever face anyone again?’ "Try saying that again."

Li Yang felt a little helpless. ’I was just worried you’d forget, so I wanted to give you a little reminder.’

But seeing Ye Xiu’s reaction, Li Yang didn’t dare press the issue.

Just then, Manager Liu walked over to Li Yang, calling out with a laugh from a distance, "We’ll do our best to speed things up over the summer break and try not to delay the children’s studies. We definitely won’t leave the kids without a place for class when the new semester starts."

After seeing Manager Liu off, Li Yang returned to the small clinic in his home. The whole village was abuzz with talk about the elementary school construction; from the looks of it, everyone was thrilled.

An event this significant was a source of pride for everyone involved.

"Xiaoyang is really something else! Look at him, how long has it been, and he’s already helped us rebuild our elementary school!" one of the villagers said to Li Yang with a grin. "And he’s building Jianshan Villa next. Just look at what he’s capable of."

The others all nodded in agreement. Unspoken, Li Yang had become their leader.

Li Yang felt a little awkward and said, "Uncles, please don’t say that. I just did what anyone would do, and everyone here helped out."

The others just chuckled.

’Saying we helped is just him being modest. We didn’t really do anything.’

Li Yang, however, was perfectly content.

Just then, his phone rang.

Li Yang picked it up.

"Mr. Li, our supermarket shelves have arrived!" It was Qi Nanyan on the other end of the line.

"That was fast!" Li Yang was stunned. ’They just took the measurements this morning, and the shelves are already here this afternoon?’

"Yes!" Qi Nanyan said. "We know you have a high demand out there, so we expedited the shipment. They should be arriving any minute now."

"Great, thank you so much!"

Li Yang knew what this was, of course. It was Qi Nanyan’s way of showing him some goodwill.
