Chapter 191: Chapter 192: Giving Acupuncture to Xiao Zhen

Xiao Zhen’s forehead was beaded with sweat from the pain, but she insisted, "I don’t want him looking at me..."

Li Yang said irritably, "Oh, come on. If I hadn’t saved you last time, who knows what would’ve happened to you."

"Hmph. Last time, you said I had ’excessive heat’..." Xiao Zhen still remembered what Li Yang had said. She glared at him. "You’re just a quack. You don’t know how to treat anyone."

Her words got to Li Yang. He sat there, rubbing his forehead.

"Jeez, how can you talk to him like that..." Zhao Xuechu was getting a headache from this too. She quickly said, "Zhenzhen, just let Mr. Li take a look."

Xiao Zhen shot Li Yang a sideways glare.

Li Yang glanced at her and frowned. "You went to a hospital, didn’t you? But they couldn’t find anything wrong, right?"

"Exactly!" Zhao Xuechu nodded. "The doctors couldn’t find anything. They couldn’t say what was causing it. We... what could we do?"

Li Yang nodded and said, "I can’t see anything wrong just by looking either. How about this, let me take your pulse."

Xiao Zhen was about to refuse, but Zhao Xuechu nodded and said, "Okay, please come and take her pulse."

Li Yang stepped forward and placed his hand on Xiao Zhen’s wrist.

Xiao Zhen was beautiful, with incredibly long limbs and lovely skin. As his fingers touched her, Li Yang felt as if he were touching cotton.

"Don’t just touch me anywhere you please, or I’ll chop your hand off," Xiao Zhen threatened.

Li Yang paid her no mind and focused on taking her pulse.

Fire. It was as if there truly was a fire inside Xiao Zhen’s body.

’How strange.’ Li Yang was also a little surprised. ’This doesn’t seem like an illness.’

Xiao Zhen’s body was very healthy; she had no illnesses.

And yet... it was also like an illness. A fire was gathering inside her body.

So strange!

Li Yang had never encountered a situation like this. ’How could this be?’

"What are you doing? Get your hand off me!" Xiao Zhen was getting annoyed and snapped at him.

"Zhenzhen!" Zhao Xuechu glared at her. "What nonsense are you talking?"

Li Yang closed his eyes and concentrated for a moment, feeling the fire inside Xiao Zhen’s body grow even more distinct.

It was flaring up, burning bigger and bigger!

Li Yang was horrified. ’What in the world is going on?’

It was as if... as if someone had lit a fire inside her body!

Li Yang sat there, dumbfounded, his eyes snapping open.

It was obvious now: her recent stomach discomfort was caused by this fire.

If it were allowed to keep burning like this, the consequences would be unimaginable.

"You have a serious problem with your body, you know that?" Li Yang asked, raising a sharp brow.

"What kind of nonsense are you spouting!" Xiao Zhen said angrily. "You quack, you’re just trying to scam me, aren’t you? It’s just a stomach ache, and you’re calling it a ’serious problem’?"

Li Yang realized it was useless talking to her, so he said no more and shot a meaningful look at Zhao Xuechu.

"Alright, alright, you just rest here for a bit." Zhao Xuechu placated her, then followed Li Yang out of the room.

"How is she?" Zhao Xuechu asked in a low voice once they were outside.

Li Yang hesitated for a moment before speaking. "There’s nothing fundamentally wrong with her, but... there’s a fire inside her. It’s like... it’s like..."

Li Yang thought for a moment, choosing his words carefully. "It feels like she ingested something she shouldn’t have. This thing planted a seed inside her, sprouted, and formed its own system. It’s not part of her body, but it’s living inside her body."

Zhao Xuechu was completely baffled.

Li Yang’s explanation was too abstract; she couldn’t understand it at all.

"Is there a cure?" Zhao Xuechu asked directly.

"I can write a prescription..." Li Yang said after a moment’s thought. "Has she eaten anything unusual lately? I mean, anything out of the ordinary? If so, have her stop. And... I’m not sure if this medicine will even work. I don’t have any other medicine on hand, and her condition is quite special. Ordinary remedies will be ineffective."

Zhao Xuechu’s expression grew even more grim.

She had great admiration for Li Yang’s medical skills, which could work miracles.

He usually achieved amazing results with very common medicines, yet now he was saying that ordinary remedies were useless.

"Is there a specific medicine you need?" Zhao Xuechu asked urgently. "If there is, just tell me. I... I’ll find a way to get it."

Li Yang nodded. "Let’s do this. I’ll write her a prescription first and give her an acupuncture treatment. We’ll see how she responds. As for the other medicine... I’ll see what I can find."

"Okay!"

The two of them returned to the room.

"Alright, take off your clothes. I’m going to give you an acupuncture treatment," Li Yang said to Xiao Zhen.

Xiao Zhen stared at him warily. "Get out. Who said I wanted you to give me acupuncture?"

"Zhenzhen!" Zhao Xuechu was getting anxious. "Mr. Li’s medical skills are superb! You should listen to him."

"Xue’xue, has this guy put a spell on you?!" Xiao Zhen felt wronged.

Li Yang didn’t waste any more time talking to her. A silver needle appeared in his hand, and he struck one of her acupoints.

In an instant, Xiao Zhen found she couldn’t move.

"You can remove her shirt," Li Yang said to Zhao Xuechu. "After you’re done, I’ll perform the acupuncture."

Zhao Xuechu nodded, trusting Li Yang completely.

"Xue’xue, don’t listen to his nonsense! You bastard, undo this..."
