The Supreme Village Doctor
Chapter 111 - 112: The Chicken Collector Causes Trouble
Chapter 111: Chapter 112: The Chicken Collector Causes Trouble
The crowd was seething with indignation. This was too damn domineering! Who acts like this?
"Then let me tell you something!" Li Yang said coldly. "I, Li Yang, will be buying our village’s chickens from now on. You can get the hell out."
"Yeah!" The villagers all clapped and cheered.
The villagers had long been unhappy with the low prices these chicken buyers offered. But before, they couldn’t afford to argue. After all, the buyers had their channels, and the villagers depended on them for their livelihood. Now, however, things were different. Li Yang had the right connections, so there was no reason to do business with them any longer.
"Kid, you better think this through!" the big man said, pointing at Li Yang. "If you dare to buy these chickens, I’ll..."
SLAP!
Li Yang stepped forward and slapped him across the face.
The big man stumbled back a few steps. Just as he regained his footing, Li Yang sent another kick his way.
The other big man was stunned. He had just started to move forward when Li Yang grabbed him by the neck and slammed him to the ground.
In just a few seconds, both big men were on the ground, unable to get up.
"What’s wrong? Still want to act tough with me?" Li Yang planted his foot on the man’s face and ground it in.
"Aargh..." The sharp gravel digging into his face made him cry out in pain. "I’m done! No more! Starting today, I’ll never come to your village to buy chickens again! I was wrong..."
"Get lost!" Li Yang sent the guy flying with a kick.
Too humiliated to stay any longer, he started his three-wheeler, loaded up his companion, and fled in disgrace.
"Yeah!"
"Xiaoyang is amazing!"
"See? Xiaoyang’s the man! He scared them all away!"
...
The villagers burst into applause.
Li Yang held up a hand to quiet them and said, "If any of you run into people like this again, just come find me. They’re unreasonable, so don’t waste your time trying to talk sense into them. Just beat them up."
The others roared with laughter. He had a point, but they were all thinking, ’None of us are as tough as you!’
Soon, the crowd dispersed.
Zhou Liyun followed Li Yang to the small clinic before speaking up. "We’re currently buying all the chickens the villagers can raise, but the demand in the city is still massive. And based on what you said, I’m afraid it will only grow. Why don’t we ask the villagers to raise more? What do you think?"
"Sure!" Li Yang nodded.
’Right now, I’m only raising a thousand chickens myself. At our current rate, we’ll use at least a hundred a day. That’s only a ten-day supply.’
’Even if these chickens grow quickly, it’ll still take at least a month or two for them to mature.’
’A thousand chickens will only last ten days.’
’And if business really takes off, a hundred a day will be far from enough.’
"Have them get chicks to raise!" Li Yang said seriously. "Raise more of them free-range. Also, you should source a large amount of chicken feed. If they use our feed, the chickens will grow faster."
"Okay, I understand!" Zhou Liyun said happily and went on her way.
...
「That night.」
In a villa in the city, Jin Jian flew into a rage upon hearing that his son was dead.
"President Jin, the official ruling on Young Master Jin is very bad. They’re calling it a crime. What should we..."
"So what if my son liked raising dogs? So what if he made those degenerate gamblers fight them?" Jin Jian roared. "This isn’t over! Who was the one who attacked my son?"
"Li Yang. He’s just some hick farmer," a subordinate immediately replied.
"My son is dead. That man can’t be allowed to live!" Jin Jian said coldly. "I want him dead. And that woman... kill her too. We can’t have her testifying that my son was some kind of sadist!"
"Understood!"
At that very moment, several uninvited guests barged into the villa.
"Who are you?" Jin Jian demanded, immediately getting to his feet. He had a bad feeling about these newcomers.
The one who entered was a man in his fifties wearing a Tang suit. He looked at Jin Jian and chuckled. "I have to admire the audacity of people like you. You know nothing, yet you overreach so far, as if the whole world is yours for the taking."
Behind the old man were several burly men. Their demeanor was calm, but they exuded a murderous aura.
Jin Jian’s heart skipped a beat, and a flicker of fear appeared within him. He spoke very politely, "Sir, has there been some kind of misunderstanding between us?"
"A misunderstanding?" The old man laughed. "Your son kidnaps our Miss Xiao, and now you want to talk about a misunderstanding? Don’t you think that’s a bit ridiculous?"
The color drained from Jin Jian’s face.
"And just now, you said you wanted to kill our Miss Xiao, correct?" the old man spoke again, a cruel glint in his eyes. "Kill them."
The burly men behind him moved in an instant.
SHLICK!
Jin Jian’s subordinates fell in seconds.
Jin Jian’s eyes went wide. He had just opened his mouth to speak when a blade plunged into his side.
"I..." Jin Jian collapsed, blood gushing from the wound.
He couldn’t even utter a single word to beg for his life.
Just then, the old man’s phone rang.
"Young Master!" the old man answered respectfully.
"Uncle Chai, is it handled?" A lazy voice came from the other end of the line. "They actually dared to go after Zhenzhen. I couldn’t spare them even if I wanted to. We were lucky this time. Otherwise... more than ten years of the Xia Family’s hard work would have gone down the drain."
"Young Master Xia, it’s done," the old man reported respectfully. "I will go and check on Miss Xiao immediately."
"Good."
