"What?" Li Yang was baffled. "She’s a grown adult. How could she just disappear?"

"You know how her dog bit someone? Well, last night she said she was going to find the seller to get things straight. She promised she’d be right back, but she never came home. This morning, she was still gone. I’ve called her so many times, but her phone’s just off!" Zhao Xuechu said frantically. "I remembered what you said about the dog seller not being a good person, and I can’t help but think... what if something’s happened to her?"

"Have you called the police?" Li Yang asked, sensing something was seriously wrong.

"I’m on my way!" Without another word, Li Yang got into his vehicle.

Once in the truck, he seemed to remember something and shouted to the big dog, "Dabao!"

Dabao immediately bounded forward and leaped into the truck bed with a swift WHOOSH.

Li Yang started the engine and drove straight to Zhao Xuechu’s place.

’As for Yang Hu, he’s a grown man.’ Li Yang decided to put that matter aside for now.

When he saw Zhao Xuechu, her face was pale and she looked extremely anxious.

"Li Yang, please, you have to help me find her. I’m so scared something has happened!" Zhao Xuechu said desperately as soon as she saw him.

"What about her family?" Li Yang asked.

"Neither of our families are here," Zhao Xuechu said, shaking her head. "We both left home to start our own business."

Li Yang paused for a moment. ’No wonder.’

"Do you know who the dog seller is?" Li Yang asked.

"I don’t know..." Zhao Xuechu said, shaking her head. "I just know some rich guy was pursuing her and offered to get her a dog. But she’s not short on cash, so she bought one herself. I don’t know who it was exactly; I’ve been swamped with my business."

’She doesn’t know. This just got a lot harder.’

Li Yang thought for a moment, and a name suddenly came to mind.

Zhou Zong!

He immediately called Shen Xu. "Is Zhou Zong out of the hospital yet?"

"Why are you looking for him?" Shen Xu asked in surprise. "He left the hospital the same day after they patched him up. He’s just resting at home now. By the way, he mentioned he wants to kill that dog."

"Arrange a meeting with him. Tell him I have his dog," Li Yang said. "I need to ask him something. Make it fast!"

Seeing Li Yang walk in with his dog on a leash, Zhou Zong shot to his feet. "You damned dog! You’re still alive? I’ll fucking kill you!"

"None of your damn business!" Zhou Zong clearly didn’t like Li Yang. "Piss off!"

Li Yang slapped him right across the face.

Zhou Zong collapsed to the ground with a THUD, cradling his face. "You... you fucking hit me!"

"Believe it or not, your dog is about to go berserk again," Li Yang said coldly. "Now, tell me where you bought it. If you don’t, this dog is going to lose its mind and maul you to death. And by the way, this dog isn’t mine. It’s still yours, technically."

Just then, the dog bared its teeth at Zhou Zong, a terrifying sight.

The memory of being bitten flashed through Zhou Zong’s mind. He stumbled back in terror and stammered, "I... I don’t know who the original seller is! I only know that Young Master Lin sold him to me!"

"I’m going too!" Zhao Xuechu declared. "I’ll go with you."

Li Yang nodded and took her with him.

The casino was located in an abandoned factory on the outskirts of the city. If you weren’t in the know, you’d never guess it was a casino.

As they approached, they heard the loud barking of dogs.

Clearly, a dog had spotted them.

Li Yang walked up and knocked on the large gate.

"What do you want?!" two menacing-looking men shouted as they opened the gate.

"I’m looking for Young Master Lin," Li Yang said with a smile.

"What for?" one of them asked, eyeing Li Yang with suspicion. "I don’t recognize you."

Li Yang dropped the pleasantries and decked the guy with a single punch.

"The hell?!" The other goon was stunned for a second before trying to retaliate.

But before he could even make a move, Li Yang sent another punch flying.

Both men were down on the ground.

Li Yang stepped inside.

Inside, many people had already heard the commotion and immediately turned to look.

Just then, Li Yang caught a glimpse of a figure, followed by a piercing scream. "Li Yang, save me!"

It was Yang Lin!

"Let her go!" Li Yang roared, shocked to find Yang Lin here, and charged forward.

"Shit!" Young Master Lin emerged from within and cursed when he saw Li Yang. "It’s fucking you again! Get him!"

In an instant, the thugs charged toward Li Yang, a menacing wall of bodies.

"Get behind me and don’t move!" Li Yang ordered, his voice radiating killing intent.
