Chapter 32 , Part One, The Five Horsemen of the Apocalypse

The intense light of the formation exploded across the plaza of the Profound Flower Sect. For an instant, Yun Che felt as though the space before him had been completely shattered.

An enormous force of suction emerged from within the huge spatial rift and began to envelop the disciples standing before the formation.

"Everyone, remain calm and do not resist!"

Shen Yulan’s voice swept across the plaza, firm and authoritative, overpowering the growing sound of spatial energy.

"The secret realm is beginning the transfer. Keep your minds stable and do not attempt to use your profound spiritual energy to fight against the formation."

"The spatial transfer has already begun. Any attempt to interfere with the matrix using your profound energy may cause unpredictable consequences. Enter calmly and trust the formation."

Yun Che and the other disciples heard the Sect Master’s words. In the next instant, their bodies were completely enveloped by a white light, and the space around them disappeared.

For several seconds, all that existed was the sensation of free fall. Yun Che did not know where he was being taken or where the other disciples had been sent. Then, without warning, a violent pressure struck his body.

Bang!

His feet struck the ground heavily. Yun Che staggered two steps backward before regaining his balance and slowly raising his head.

He looked around carefully, but fortunately or unfortunately for him there was no one nearby.

Not a single disciple of the Profound Flower Sect was anywhere around.

A forest covered his entire field of vision, and no matter where he looked, the scenery was the same. Yet this was far from an ordinary forest.

The trees were enormous. Some were so thick that their circumference was approximately five meters, while the dark trunks appeared almost black beneath the faint light of the night.

Yun Che was stunned. It had been daytime only a moment ago, yet now a silver moon hung in the forest’s sky.

The treetops covered most of the sky, allowing only a few fragments of moonlight to pass through. The silver light of the moon spread across the damp ground in small, irregular patches, creating a silent and strangely beautiful landscape.

It was night, a deep night, and the smell of blood polluted the humid air of the dark forest.

Yun Che’s eyes narrowed slightly.

"This place isn’t just an ancient forest. There’s blood in the air. There must be countless creatures hiding within this forest."

Yun Che raised his head and carefully observed his surroundings. Then he closed his eyes for several seconds and began sensing the nearby spiritual presences, searching for any human aura that might reveal the location of the other disciples.

Unfortunately or fortunately for him there was not a single human aura.

Yun Che opened his eyes again.

"We were really separated."

That would make exploring the place much more dangerous.

He slowly looked in every direction, making sure that he was truly alone. A small smile appeared on his face when he realized there was no sign of any human presence.

"Since I’m not in the sect and there’s no one here..."

Yun Che walked toward a huge dark rock beside the roots of a tree and sat down on it. For several seconds, he simply remained there, listening to the sounds of the forest.

He rested his arms on his knees and lowered his eyes toward his own hands. His expression gradually became more serious.

"And that means I can finally test what the system granted me."

A cold energy began to emerge from his body, as though a small fragment of death itself were emanating from within him.

Yun Che raised one hand.

"Supreme Art of Necromancy."

[You summoned your Corporeal Spirit.]

A figure began to form beside him. It was none other than his Corporeal Spirit.

Its appearance was similar to that of a human being, but its existence was clearly different. It did not possess the spiritual depth of a living person.

Yun Che observed it for several seconds. Then, a mark appeared on the palm of his hand the necromantic contract.

"Now I release you. Thank you for your services."

His voice sounded low in the darkness of the forest.

Yun Che felt the space reserved for the Corporeal Spirit within his soul being reorganized. It was as though different invisible compartments within his necromantic authority were being adjusted, making room for the new existences the system had granted him.

"It’s done. Now I can claim my reward, which is to fill the summoning slots with undead."

"I have five slots. One of them was already occupied. If I claimed the system’s reward without freeing the slot, the system would only give me four undead."

Yun Che raised his hand, and the energy of death exploded from within his body, spreading outward.

[You have successfully claimed your reward.]

[The summoning slots have been filled. The user can summon 5 new undead.]

[The user has begun summoning the undead.]

BOOM!

A black wave spread throughout the forest. The air became heavy as a dark mist began to emerge from Yun Che’s body. At first, it seemed like nothing more than a small amount of smoke.

Then it became an enormous mass of black energy, and the mist began to swirl before the huge rock.

Yun Che remained seated upon the rock, calmly observing the phenomenon before his eyes until silhouettes emerged within the mist.

Five figures slowly began to take shape, and the black energy condensed into physical bodies. First came the feet, then the legs, torsos, arms, and finally, the heads.

Five different presences of death.

When the black energy finally disappeared, five creatures were kneeling before Yun Che.

For several seconds, the only sound was the wind passing through the forest.

The first creature was a tall and slender man, approximately one meter and ninety centimeters in height. His pale skin had the appearance of aged marble.

His face had long since disappeared, directly revealing the structure of his skull. Two dark-blue flames burned within his empty eye sockets.

Long white hair fell to his shoulders, and the man maintained a perfectly kneeling posture, conveying an ancient aristocratic presence.

He wore a long black robe of noble appearance, decorated with golden details and ancient necromantic symbols, while a heavy black cloak fell over his back.

In his right hand, he held a white bone staff, atop which rested a small black sphere that seemed to contain an extremely concentrated spiritual force.

The second creature was a woman who did not resemble a cultivator in the slightest.

She stood approximately one meter and seventy-six centimeters tall. Her skin was extremely pale and appeared perfectly preserved, while her long blonde hair fell all the way to her waist.

Her ruby-red eyes shone intensely in the darkness, while her slightly elongated canines immediately revealed her true nature.

Her body possessed an elegant and well-proportioned feminine silhouette, with a defined waist and an aristocratic posture. She wore noble black clothing consisting of an elegant dress and a structured jacket, accompanied by black gloves, refined boots, and small aristocratic accessories.

Around her neck was a necklace with a red gemstone, resembling a reservoir of spiritual blood.

The third creature was a man approximately one meter and eighty-seven centimeters tall, with a muscular, compact, and perfectly defined body.

He resembled a warrior who had spent decades perfecting every movement. His relatively human skin was marked with black scars, and an enormous scar crossed his abdomen.

His long black hair was tied behind his head, while his gray eyes remained lowered.

Over his dark warrior’s clothing were fragments of an ancient, broken armor, as though they were the last remnants of the body he had once possessed. Even while kneeling, he emanated a feeling of silent determination and a will that was impossible to destroy.

The fourth creature was the second and final woman, approximately one meter and seventy-two centimeters tall.

Her elegant silhouette remained preserved, while part of her body was wrapped in long strips of black and golden linen. In some areas, the bandages revealed dry, golden-toned skin marked with black symbols.

Her long black hair was partially wrapped in the same bandages, and her golden eyes shone in the darkness.

She wore clothing made of black fabrics, golden ornaments, wide necklaces, and bracelets. The bandages around her arms and legs moved slowly, as though they possessed a life of their own, while small curved blades were incorporated between the strips, including near her feet.

The fifth and final creature was an extremely tall man, approximately one meter and ninety-two centimeters in height. His body was extremely thin,

yet he still possessed clearly defined musculature, while his arms were slightly longer than those of an ordinary human.
