The Supreme Beauty Fell in Love with Me
Chapter 1522 - 1508: Nuwa and Fu Xi
Upon hearing this, Zhou Kai quickly inquired about Zhou Rui's condition.
Zhou Rui's aunt then relayed the doctor's report to Zhou Kai.
Upon hearing the bad news about Zhou Rui, Zhou Kai hung up and immediately called Lin Chuan, but nobody answered.
He called several times, but seeing that no one was picking up, Zhou Kai, worried about Zhou Rui's safety, couldn't leave Jiangbei City himself. After thinking for a while, he called Tang Yumeng.
Zhou Rui was still a senior president of the Sichuan University Group, and Tang Yumeng was the head of the group. The only solution was to have Tang Yumeng find a way.
Tang Yumeng received Zhou Kai's call and, upon hearing that Zhou Rui was in a hospital in Shanghai and her condition was severe, immediately booked the fastest flight to Shanghai and went there herself to see Zhou Rui.
...
In the night, atop a peak in Kunlun Mountain, stood a beautiful woman.
The mountain breeze blew her flowing long hair, making her appear even more enchanting, like an ethereal fairy.
She was Nuwa, a legendary woman who had lived for tens of thousands of years in the world.
She gazed intently at the sky, scenes flashing through her mind.
Human King Fu Xi fell in love with Nuwa long ago, and for tens of thousands of years, they worked together to create man and woman, instilling life into the world, bringing peace and harmony.
At the end of the world, by the shores of Qingshui Lake, reflected a pair who had been in love for tens of thousands of years, Human King Fu Xi and Mother Nuwa.
Suddenly, the sky changed drastically, and part of the western sky collapsed. The water of the heavenly river flooded into the human world, causing many deaths and plunging the entire land of China into disaster, with cries of suffering everywhere.
Nuwa and Fu Xi watched their nurtured land face disaster, and despite everything, they attempted to mend the sky, but the hole in the sky grew larger, and they were powerless.
Nuwa was exhausted and fell asleep against Fu Xi. In her dream, someone told her that the Five-Colored Gemstones on Kunlun Mountain could be refined to mend the sky.
Nuwa told Fu Xi about her dream. Upon hearing it, Fu Xi seemed to see a glimmer of hope, and together they went to Kunlun Mountain. After enduring many hardships, they found the Five-Colored Gemstones.
Fu Xi was responsible for refining the gemstones, while Nuwa used the refined gemstones to patch the sky. Just as the skies cleared and everyone thought the disaster was over, a small crack appeared again, but the gemstones were exhausted.
Nuwa decided to use her own body to seal the final crack, looking at Fu Xi with tears in her eyes, entrusting the earth to him.
By the time Fu Xi realized, Nuwa had disappeared before him in a blinding light.
Nuwa sacrificed her body for the earth's rebirth. After losing Nuwa, Fu Xi rescued the devastated land in lonely pain.
After tens of thousands of years, through Fu Xi's efforts, the world returned to its former glory. Fu Xi bore the solitude of eternal life, guarding the land that Nuwa had protected with her life. Each time he dreamt of Nuwa's tearful departure, he told himself to wait for her; she would surely return.
Would she really come back? After waiting for tens of thousands of years, the time with Nuwa was the only thing that made his years not so monotonous, and at the end of the world, one could not speak enough of loneliness.
One day at the world's end, Fu Xi saw a white fox with silver fur. He was puzzled as to why a white fox would appear at the world's end.
The White Fox nestled beside Fu Xi every day. Gradually, Fu Xi no longer felt as lonely, named the fox Silver Fox, and the two sat by the Qingshui River. Then, Fu Xi vaguely heard a woman's voice.
Perhaps because of tens of thousands of years of loneliness, Fu Xi desperately hoped for companionship. He quickly rushed toward the source of the voice.
At the end of the world merged with Heavenly Water, a red scene unfolded, with a woman dancing enchantingly. Fu Xi was captivated, uttering, "Enchantress, enrapturing my heart."
The woman, hearing someone speak, stopped to look at Fu Xi, her melodious voice rang out: "Who are you, and why are you watching me dance?"
Her clear voice and unparalleled beauty appeared before Fu Xi, stirring his heart that had been silent for tens of thousands of years.
"I am Fu Xi. And you? Why are you at the world's end?"
The woman laughed like silver bells, smiled charmingly, and said, "I am the last breath of Pangu, transformed over hundreds of thousands of years, finally arriving in this world."
The woman continued, "My name is Enchantress, sharing the same lineage as you, ageless and immortal. How about I stay with you to protect this homeland?"
And so they fell in love. Watching the two grow close, Nuwa shed tears as she left. But with the Enchantress's companionship, Fu Xi did not mind the departure of the Silver Fox.
Nüwa arrived at the icebound snowy mountains, where the vast ice and snow felt desolate and uninhabited. For a practitioner, it was an excellent place. To keep Fu Xi company so that he wouldn't feel so lonely, Nüwa gave up her practice. However, with the appearance of the enchantress, Fu Xi's heart changed. Nüwa collected her sad tears and continued her cultivation in this world of whiteness.
No one knows how many thousands of years passed, when a white light emitted from the snowy mountains, traveling at the speed of light, piercing straight into the sky. It was nighttime, but the entire night was illuminated as if it were daylight.
Fu Xi stood at the edge of heaven and earth. Seeing this white light, could it be that she has returned? Fu Xi abandoned the enchantress and followed the direction of the light.
"Nüwa, have you really come back?"
The woman didn't turn back to look at Fu Xi, carrying a trace of desolation: "I told you to wait for me, but you ultimately couldn't withstand the loneliness of time and chose the enchantress, so I wish you both well?"
After Nüwa finished speaking, she transformed into a white light, and Fu Xi chased after her. He had finally waited for her to return, but he had hurt her heart. Unfortunately, Nüwa's speed was too fast, and he simply couldn't catch up.
After returning from the snowy mountains, Fu Xi sat by Jingshui Lake, reminiscing about everything with Nüwa. He blamed himself for not being able to endure the loneliness and being with the enchantress, desperately thinking about how to make amends.
The enchantress knew nothing of what had happened. She loved Fu Xi, loved him with all her heart, but her love was too domineering. Initially, Fu Xi thought her domineering was just childlike nature, but eventually, it became unbearable for him.
"She has returned, you should leave."
"What did you say?"
"Nüwa has returned. She is the woman I love most, and I want to win her back again."
"Fu Xi, what are you saying? Have you forgotten the promise you made to me? It's only been a few thousand years and you've changed. You've been with her so long ago; I am your present."
Fu Xi shook his head: "No, I know my heart. I owe her an apology, and I hope you can find your own happiness."
The enchantress retreated a few steps: "Fu Xi, you actually treated my sincerity like this. I will make you regret this."
The enchantress transformed into a red light, heading towards the snowy mountains. Fu Xi was afraid she might do something extreme and followed closely.
The enchantress arrived at the snowy mountains and shouted: "Nüwa, come out,
Nüwa was focused on her cultivation. Although she had regained human form, she still needed quiet practice to return to her former self. Back then, after mending the sky with her body, her soul resided within this Silver Fox. Since the white fox was also a Divine Beast, and the Nine-tailed Fox already had nine lives, Nüwa's soul found a place to dwell. However, after mending the sky, her soul was greatly damaged, and she couldn't quickly cultivate back to human form. After thousands of years, she has returned.
Hearing someone calling her outside, Nüwa gracefully stood up, instantly floating in front of the enchantress. The enchantress saw the woman in white in front of her, with a delicate face, her hair neatly pinned by a hairpin, and an immortal aura in her eyes. The enchantress couldn't help but feel jealous of Nüwa. They were both descendants of Pangu, why was she so perfect?
Ragingly, she spoke to Nüwa: "You are Nüwa?"
Nüwa barely glanced at the enchantress with the corner of her eye: "Enchantress, isn't it? What are you doing here?"
Seeing that Nüwa didn't even look at her, the enchantress felt utterly insulted and ignored.
The enchantress, seething with anger, raised her hand, and a red energy ball instantly formed in her palm. With a powerful push, the fireball shot straight towards Nüwa. Just as it was about to hit her,
Fu Xi hurriedly arrived; with a sweep of his long sleeves, the fireball flew into a patch of snow, erupting into a burst of flames.
Watching Fu Xi protect Nüwa, the enchantress's anger deepened: "Fu Xi, step aside, this is between her and me."
Fu Xi's eyes were locked onto the enchantress: "Enough, don't go too far."
Clenching her teeth, the enchantress retorted: "I've gone too far? Let me show you how far I can go."
With that, she pushed Fu Xi aside, and the red light transformed into a sharp sword heading straight for Nüwa. Nüwa dodged the enchantress's attack with a flash of spirit light, but the ancient tree, a thousand years old, on the mountain wasn't so fortunate, and was cleaved in two.
"If you two want to fight, do it elsewhere. This is a tranquil place and I don't want it disturbed. Enchantress, I have no feelings for Fu Xi anymore. Your affairs are for you to resolve." There was no emotion in Nüwa's words.
Nüwa vanished before their eyes in a beam of white light. She needed peace and didn't want to be disturbed. The enchantress wanted to chase after her, but the entire icy mountain was sealed by Nüwa, making it impossible for the enchantress to enter.
Turning her wrath towards Fu Xi, her eyes glowing red: "Fu Xi, did you hear that? Nüwa doesn't care about you at all, yet you betrayed my love. I will destroy the world you worked so hard to create."
With those words, the enchantress lunged at Fu Xi, and their battle was on the brink of breaking out. Ultimately, the enchantress was injured by Fu Xi. Despite being with him for thousands of years, Fu Xi only wounded the enchantress, hoping to bring her to her senses.
The enchantress fled with her injured body and was never heard from again. Fu Xi remained outside the snowy mountains, hoping to gain Nüwa's forgiveness.
