The Strongest Talent Tree

Chapter 49 - 47: Giving Pointers to the Dance Team

Chapter 49: Chapter 47: Giving Pointers to the Dance Team

The assessment concluded successfully, and Feng Hao was rocketed to the top of the campus headlines.

As he stepped down from the awards platform, he was immediately met with cheers from all the students of Class One. This was especially true for Zhang Meng and his three sycophants, who were sucking up to him so hard it was like their lives depended on it. Their gazes toward Feng Hao were filled with godlike reverence.

Only Xi Yueyao was sulking off to the side. It took her a long moment to snap out of it. "You damned medicine seller, who said you could be this powerful?"

"Yao Girl, shouldn’t you be happy that I’m this powerful?" Feng Hao asked, a little confused.

"Hmph! You stole the whole show. How could I possibly be happy?" Xi Yueyao pouted, puffing out her cheeks as she stomped in front of Feng Hao. "No way. You have to teach me more skills. The stuff you taught me before doesn’t count."

Feng Hao couldn’t help but laugh. ’I never thought this lazy girl would have an ambitious side.’ "Fine. See you at the usual place tomorrow. Just make sure your sister doesn’t find out."

"Hee hee, that’s more like it." Xi Yueyao was instantly satisfied. Humming a little tune, she walked over to where Xiyue Frost was. "I’m going to go console my big sister. I’ll come play with you tomorrow."

"Go on, go on." After seeing the clingy girl off, Feng Hao couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief.

Just then, Yue Linglong gracefully approached. Her expression was full of complex emotions. She made up an excuse to send the three sycophants away, then turned her twinkling, beautiful eyes on Feng Hao.

Yue Linglong was already bewitching and sexy to begin with, but her figure under the black and white uniform was enough to make anyone’s blood race. It was almost too much to handle.

"Teacher Yue, why are you looking at me like that?" Feng Hao asked, his breath hitching slightly.

"Congratulations, Feng Hao," Yue Linglong said with a captivating smile. Her beautiful eyes shimmered, and anyone who didn’t know better would have thought she was making eyes at him.

Feng Hao gave an awkward laugh and quipped, "Where would I be today without your guidance?"

"Oh, stop flattering me." Yue Linglong shook her head with a rueful expression, tucking a strand of dark hair behind her ear in a captivating gesture. "All this time, I assumed auditors were just unambitious types paying for prestige. You’ve changed my mind."

"Now I’m getting a little embarrassed," Feng Hao said, subconsciously rubbing his nose.

Yue Linglong gave him a long, searching look, then pursed her lips. "Can you tell me about your bloodline talent?"

"Of course," Feng Hao nodded and explained. "My bloodline talent is called [Black Pupils]. When I activate it, my eyes turn completely black, and my stealth ability is doubled."

"Your stealth ability is doubled?! That’s a very powerful bloodline. No wonder you were so confident," Yue Linglong exclaimed.

"Hehe, it’s nothing special," Feng Hao said, feigning humility. He was laughing inwardly. ’If she knew about the mutated abilities of [Black Pupils], I wonder if she’d be scared to death.’

Yue Linglong gave a sweet smile and asked, a little hesitantly, "So... have you thought about our bet?"

"Oh, right! I’d almost forgotten about that," Feng Hao said, touching his forehead as if it had just occurred to him. Then, a playful glint appeared in his eyes as he smiled. "I’ll come find you tonight to discuss it in detail."

"Why do we have to discuss it at night?" Yue Linglong asked, her cheeks flushing as her eyes filled with confusion.

"It’s more exciting at night!" Feng Hao couldn’t resist teasing. As he spoke, he turned and waved, already walking away. "I’m leaving now. We’ll talk tonight!"

"Such a smooth-talker." The blush on Yue Ling’s face deepened. With a soft "pah," she turned and gracefully departed.

Feng Hao didn’t hurry to leave the arena. Instead, he strode over to the Dance Team. Firstly, he wanted to find Miao Feng and give him a "lesson," fulfilling his duties as a master. Secondly, he wanted to show off in front of the "female hooligans" and flex his power a bit.

Unfortunately, before he even reached the Dance Team, his path was blocked by Zhou Chen.

"Feng Hao, after I reach level twenty, I will challenge you again!" Zhou Chen declared, his eyes burning with humiliation and resentment.

"Oh? Be my guest," Feng Hao replied casually, continuing on his way to the Dance Team and leaving a seething Zhou Chen in his wake.

’What a joke. Does he really think he can beat me just by reaching the second tier?’

’Against anyone else, that might be possible. After all, the higher the level, the more the gap in aptitude widens.’

’Unfortunately for him, I’m not just anyone. With the grafting ability of [Black Pupils], my strength will only become more terrifying after I reach the second tier. By then, my meridian system will have evolved the ability to condense dark energy, allowing me to learn even more Secret Techniques.’

’Add my top-tier techniques into the mix, and my Assassin class will truly start to take shape. What could Zhou Chen possibly use to fight me then?’

Meanwhile, with the Dance Team, Miao Feng had been swarmed by the "female hooligans" as soon as the competition ended. They pestered him with endless questions. If Xu Zhenzhen hadn’t been there to protect him, a guy with his personality would have been eaten alive.

"Oh? What’s all the commotion about?" Feng Hao asked teasingly as he walked over.

The moment they saw Feng Hao, the "female hooligans" fell silent. They all watched him nervously, afraid he had come to pick a fight and get revenge.

Miao Feng breathed a huge sigh of relief, as if he’d been pardoned. He pulled Xu Zhenzhen forward with him and said, "Congratulations, Senior Brother! I can’t believe you actually defeated Xiyue Frost!"

"It was just Xiyue Frost. Nothing special," Feng Hao said arrogantly.

"Hehe." Miao Feng gave an awkward, silly laugh and said hesitantly, "Um... Senior Brother, Sister Zhenzhen was hoping you could give some pointers on the Dance Team’s Secret Technique, to see if they can improve their combat effectiveness."

The lovely ladies of the Dance Team behind him all nodded in unison, their eyes fixed on him, full of hope.

Feng Hao was taken aback. He shot the "female hooligans" a strange look. He had been planning to intimidate them, but he never expected this.

’What’s with this group of "female hooligans"?’ he thought. ’Where’s that domineering attitude they had when they kidnapped me?’

"The misunderstanding before was our fault. Please don’t hold it against us, Senior Brother," Xu Zhenzhen said, stepping forward gracefully and bowing to Feng Hao. When she said the two words "Senior Brother," her face was a picture of sweetness and bashfulness, making it impossible to associate her with the female bandit leader from before.

Faced with such a cringeworthy display, Feng Hao broke out in goosebumps. But what could he do? It was his own fault for taking on a disappointing disciple like Miao Feng.

"Alright, then. For Miao Feng’s sake, I’ll give you all some pointers when I have time," Feng Hao said, clearing his throat. "But let’s get one thing straight: I’ll be charging a fee."

"Um... the Dance Team’s budget is a little tight. Could you maybe make the fee a bit cheaper?" Sister Ting stepped forward timidly, looking somewhat embarrassed and not daring to meet Feng Hao’s gaze.

"Don’t worry, my rates are always fair. And I guarantee you’ll be satisfied with my guidance—it’ll be more than worth the cost," Feng Hao said with a laugh.

The impatient Xiaoyou blurted out, "You’ve been talking this whole time, so just how much is it?"

"Depends on my mood." Feng Hao gave a playful smile and turned to leave, departing as freely as a passing cloud, the very picture of an aloof master.

He left behind the beauties of the Dance Team, who could only stare, dumbfounded and utterly bewildered.

Watching Feng Hao walk away, Xu Zhenzhen frowned and turned to Miao Feng. "Fengfeng, is this Senior Brother of yours reliable?"

"Don’t worry, Sister Zhenzhen. Senior Brother is incredibly resourceful. I’m sure he can help you," Miao Feng said, his eyes filled with worship.

...

Seeing it was still early, Feng Hao decided to head to the cultivation chambers for a training session. Along the way, he couldn’t help but be the subject of pointing and whispers. Many female students even flirted with him openly. With treatment like this, it was clear he’d become one of the academy’s most celebrated figures.

Feng Hao wasn’t too bothered by it all. ’Back when I reached the top in *Mage*,’ he thought, ’*that* was what you call being the center of attention!’

As night began to fall, Feng Hao stepped out of the cultivation chamber and, with a sly smile, hurried toward Yue Linglong’s office.

’Yue Linglong must be on pins and needles right now,’ Feng Hao thought, laughing wickedly to himself. ’Heh, so what if she’s a teacher? She dared to scheme against my class funds, so a little teasing is exactly what she deserves.’
