Chapter 404: Chapter 401: The Most Frustrating Death in History

Three-second Fire was no fool. He understood immediately after hearing Feng Hao’s analysis. "Then what do we do? Just waiting here is still a death sentence, isn’t it?"

"We can only trust our luck now," Feng Hao sighed helplessly. "Shh, that old bastard’s coming."

At Feng Hao’s words, Three-second Fire immediately fell silent. Through Feng Hao’s Divine Sense, he nervously watched Feng Qianxing’s every move.

In the sparse woods, Feng Qianxing drifted between the trees like a ghost. Despite searching repeatedly, he couldn’t find any sign or trace of Feng Hao.

’Strange. Did he just vanish into thin air?’ Feng Qianxing found it bizarre.

He spread his Divine Sense, sweeping it across the entire forest, but still found no sign of Feng Hao.

At the same time, the poisons in Feng Qianxing’s body began to churn. The toxicity of [A Little Red] had not only recovered to 500 units, but the effects of the [Soft Bone Powder] were also growing increasingly intense.

’Damn it!’ Feng Qianxing silently cursed, gritting his teeth. ’That brat must be nearby. I have to find him.’

With that, he swung his long spear, his cold gaze sweeping over the surroundings as he spoke. "Brat, I know you’re in here! Come out obediently and help me cure this poison, and I’ll spare your life!"

But Feng Hao didn’t respond.

What a joke. Feng Hao was no idiot. How could he possibly believe such lies?

"Not coming out, are you? Then don’t blame me for getting rough!" Feng Qianxing roared. He swept his spear in a wide arc, and with a surge of energy, a huge swath of trees was sliced in half, crashing to the ground and forming a circular clearing.

Seeing Feng Qianxing make his move, Feng Hao’s heart pounded wildly. Fortunately, this Secret Technique didn’t reach him.

"Brother Feng, we can’t let this go on!" Three-second Fire said anxiously. "This forest is only so big. That old guy will find us sooner or later."

"We’ll stall for as long as we can. If we have no other choice, we’ll seize an opportunity and fight him to the death," Feng Hao said, gritting his teeth.

"We don’t know when the reinforcements from the academy will get here. I say we just fight him now," Three-second Fire analyzed grimly. "The old bastard is badly poisoned and has no way to heal. If we coordinate well, we might have a chance to kill him."

"Easier said than done. With his Divine Sense, we have no opening for a sneak attack." Feng Hao frowned in thought for a moment before something suddenly clicked. "Wait, isn’t he a Root-cutting Mage? He should have a fatal weakness."

Three-second Fire was delighted. "That’s right! How could I have forgotten about that?"

"But based on our earlier fight, all his abilities seem perfectly normal. He doesn’t seem like a Mage who’s cut his roots at all." Feng Hao frowned, replaying the fight with Feng Qianxing in his mind. He was completely baffled. ’Strange... could it be that this old guy isn’t a Root-cutting Mage?’

Just as Feng Hao was puzzling over this, Feng Qianxing flew into a complete rage. Wherever his spear passed, large sections of the forest were obliterated.

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH!

As swath after swath of trees came crashing down, Feng Hao grew increasingly tense. Feng Qianxing was getting closer.

"San’Er, get ready to fight!" Feng Hao gritted his teeth, resigned to making a final stand.

And yet, at that very moment, Feng Qianxing’s attacks suddenly ceased. He frowned deeply, clutching his abdomen with his left hand, his eyes filled with confusion. ’After evolving to level 100, I’ve obviously moved beyond normal metabolism. Why would I be feeling stomach pain? Could it be something I ate the other day?’

RUMBLE...

As he wondered about this, his stomach began to churn violently. The pain was excruciating. Feng Qianxing couldn’t be bothered with anything else and rushed into the nearby trees to relieve himself.

"What the hell? What’s going on?" Three-second Fire asked, dumbfounded.

"Haha, it must be the [Unstoppable Runs] taking effect," Feng Hao said, a little surprised himself. "No time to waste. Get ready to attack!"

"Uh... isn’t it a little too disgusting to ambush him at a time like this?" Three-second Fire said hesitantly.

"Disgusting my ass! Attack!" Feng Hao snapped back, instantly using [Shadow Strike] to move toward Feng Qianxing.

The moment he moved, the perfect concealment from his [Shadowmeld] vanished. However, Feng Qianxing was too lost in the agonies of the [Unstoppable Runs] to free himself, and he failed to activate his Divine Sense to scan his surroundings.

Feng Hao quickly snuck up behind Feng Qianxing. He was first hit by a foul stench, then he heard Feng Qianxing scream furiously, "You shameless little thief! I’ll tear you to a million pieces!"

Feng Qianxing’s fury was entirely because the combined effects of the [Soft Bone Powder] and the [Unstoppable Runs] were causing him so much pain he wished he were dead.

That last explosive bout had been so violent it had fractured more than a dozen of his bones. If he wasn’t using his Magic Power to prop himself up, he probably would have collapsed right into his own cesspit.

At that same moment, Feng Hao made his move.

"Die!" Feng Hao grunted, immediately hammering him with a full combo.

Feng Qianxing had no time to react. He was instantly slammed to the ground, his bones shattering as he collapsed into a boneless, pulpy heap.

Three-second Fire’s flames had already surged forth, engulfing him in an instant. Though the fire would only last for three seconds, every second inflicted immense damage.

Feng Qianxing snapped out of his agony and instinctively tried to counterattack.

However, what met him was the sole of Feng Hao’s boot. The kick landed squarely on his mouth.

The wretched Feng Qianxing had barely uttered half a word before it was kicked right back down his throat.

Even so, Feng Hao didn’t dare let his guard down for a second. His twin daggers followed up, slashing and hacking madly...

He didn’t stop until Feng Qianxing’s life force was completely extinguished. Only then did he finally relax, collapsing under a nearby tree and panting, "Holy hell... we’re finally safe!"

"Wahaha! We teamed up to kill a Hundred-level Expert! Talk about bragging rights!" Three-second Fire hopped out excitedly.

Feng Hao couldn’t help but let out a dry laugh. He glanced at Feng Qianxing’s corpse and smirked. "Heh, to die in your own shit... That’s got to be the most pathetic death in history."

"No kidding. If that were me, I’d rather have killed myself," Three-second Fire nodded in agreement.

"Tsk, tsk. The stash of a Hundred-level Mage should be pretty loaded, right?" As he spoke, Feng Hao cautiously approached Feng Qianxing’s corpse. Pinching his nose, he looted the Spatial Ring, then shot a look at Three-second Fire.

Three-second Fire took the hint at once. With a WHOOSH, he unleashed a ball of fire that incinerated Feng Qianxing’s corpse.

Feng Hao gave the Spatial Ring a quick scan and his face immediately fell with disappointment. "Holy shit! How can a proper Hundred-level Mage be this broke?"

In fact, Feng Qianxing was quite wealthy. He had a huge pile of Level 6 and 7 Magic Crystals alone.

Unfortunately for him, this was just pocket change to the current Feng Hao and hardly worth his notice. Ever since the Thief God Entertainment Company had opened for business across the entire Ancient Cang Realm, he had never been short on Magic Crystals.

"That’s enough burning. Get ready to go!" Feng Hao glanced at Three-second Fire, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

"Coming, coming!" Three-second Fire wasted no time, diving back into Feng Hao’s Divine Sense with a laugh.

The next moment, Feng Hao piloted his Mansa and flew directly toward Five States City...
