Chapter 397: Chapter 394: Your Bro Is a Prestigious University Graduate
And there was another, more important problem: how to launch a sneak attack on Feng Qianxing, who was high up in the sky.
After all, with his current strength, he couldn’t fly. And if he used the Manzaosaurus, the target would be far too obvious.
At this thought, Feng Hao sank into deep contemplation. ’Damn it, if only I could fly. Xiao San’Er, aren’t you supposed to be all-powerful? Figure out a way to get me up there for a bit.’
"Don’t be ridiculous. I can’t carry you yet. I’d need to evolve to the intermediate stage, at least," Three-second Fire said irritably.
"You can’t even fly? What’s the use of you, then?" Feng Hao grumbled with a pout.
Three-second Fire retorted through gritted teeth, "Excuse me, I’m a fire seed, not a bird. If you really want to get into the sky, you could try talking to that pretty little lady."
"What pretty little lady? Be more specific!" Feng Hao said, confused.
"That beautiful woman named Bai Yin. If my senses aren’t wrong, she should have half of the Bone-Eroding Wind Spirit’s origin. Unlike us fire seeds, Wind Spirits are usually great at carrying people into the sky," Three-second Fire explained with a pout.
Hearing this, Feng Hao grew excited. Without another word, he charged into the fray. With his Su Mu Dagger flashing, he effortlessly carved a bloody path and rushed to Bai Yin’s side.
"Miss Bai Yin, could you help me with something?" Feng Hao asked while fending off the surrounding attacks.
Bai Yin faltered for a moment, giving him a strange look. "Just say it."
"Haha, you’re so straightforward, miss," Feng Hao said eagerly. "I heard your Wind Spirit can send people into the sky. Is that true?"
"That is true," Bai Yin nodded lightly, her eyes full of curiosity. "But why do you ask?"
"No reason, I just want to go up and have a look," Feng Hao said mysteriously.
Bai Yin’s expression froze. She subconsciously glanced up and suddenly realized something, her face paling in alarm. "You’re not thinking of interfering in the battle up there, are you? No, absolutely not! It’s too dangerous!"
"Don’t worry, I have my own plan. I’ll be fine," Feng Hao said confidently.
"No, that’s too reckless," Bai Yin refused again.
Hearing this, Feng Hao didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He pleaded earnestly, "I’m begging you, okay? Don’t worry, I just need to close the distance a little. I won’t get too close."
Bai Yin hesitated for a moment, then sighed in resignation. "Alright, then. I’ll have the Wind Spirit send you up, but you must be careful."
"No problem," Feng Hao promised, patting his chest.
Bai Yin gazed at Feng Hao, then hesitantly summoned her Wind Spirit. After whispering a few soothing words to it, she had it wrap a plume of eerie wind around Feng Hao.
The next moment, Feng Hao felt as light as a feather, as if a gentle breeze was lifting him from below his feet.
’Holy crap, I can actually fucking fly!’ Feng Hao exclaimed inwardly. Without further hesitation, he activated [Black Pupils] and [Shadow Escape] simultaneously. With a light tap of his toes, he used the Wind Spirit’s power to slowly ascend.
Of course, under the combined effects of Black Pupils and Shadow Escape, Feng Hao was in a stealth state, so no one noticed him.
Although Feng Qianxing, in the sky, had the ability to detect him, he would never imagine that a fourth-rank Mage would try to ambush him. Coupled with the pressure from the City Lord’s relentless attacks, he failed to notice Feng Hao’s approach.
After ascending, Feng Hao began to cautiously approach Feng Qianxing. The only thing that was a pain in the ass was the Wind Spirit’s slow flight speed. It was like a rising balloon. At this rate, who knew when he would ever drift over to Feng Qianxing.
Just as he was inwardly cursing his luck, Three-second Fire inexplicably popped out.
It circled Feng Hao a few times, then injected a wisp of flame into the eerie wind surrounding him, muttering to itself, "Oh, Xiaofengfeng, you’re so disappointing. Here, let your big bro add some fire for you."
"Huh?" Feng Hao was stunned. Just as he was about to say something, he felt as if a thruster had been strapped to his body, and he began to shoot upwards.
This speed was absolutely incomparable to before. If his previous flight speed was that of a balloon, now it was like a balloon that had been untied—WHOOSH...
Seeing Feng Hao accelerate, Three-second Fire looked pleased and continued to mutter to itself, "Well, I’ll be. Wind and fire, a perfect match that makes work a breeze. Hey, Xiaofengfeng, why don’t you stick with big bro from now on?"
"Don’t you worry. As long as big bro gets to eat meat, I’ll never let you just drink the soup. Can’t be helped, we’re a match made in heaven!"
"And what’s more, big bro has a collection of videos of humans ’running a train.’ It’ll blow your mind. Once we both evolve to the advanced stage, we can experience human pleasures firsthand. Won’t that be amazing?"
"Huh? Xiaofengfeng, why aren’t you saying anything?" After getting lost in its lewd fantasies for a while, Three-second Fire realized the Wind Spirit wasn’t responding and grew puzzled. "Ohhh, I get it. Your consciousness is with the other half of your origin, right?"
"That damn old woman, how dare she treat you like this! Xiaofengfeng, don’t you worry. Once my unlucky master gets stronger, I’ll definitely rescue you from her grasp," Three-second Fire said, grinding his teeth.
Listening to Three-second Fire’s wild, lewd fantasies in his ear, Feng Hao was utterly exasperated.
But he had to admit, this Three-second Fire guy was pretty useful. At least after its boost, the Wind Spirit’s speed had increased significantly.
"Will you shut the hell up? You couldn’t even pick a decent time to hit on someone. Besides, do you even know if it’s a he or a she?" Feng Hao said irritably.
At that, Three-second Fire shot him a contemptuous look from within his sea of consciousness. "I call you ignorant and you won’t even admit it. Elemental beings like us don’t have genders, okay?"
"Liar. How are you gonna ’run a train’ with no gender?" Feng Hao was speechless.
"Tch. ’Running a train’ is just organ interaction. When it’s time to take human form, I’ll just materialize the necessary organs, won’t I?" Three-second Fire said with a dismissive pout.
Feng Hao was struck dumb by this. After thinking it over, he realized that ’running a train’ really didn’t have a damn thing to do with gender.
But that brought up a new question. "In that case, are you a guy or a girl?"
"I am both male and female, yet neither male nor female," Three-second Fire huffed.
"Damn, what the hell are you, a ladyboy?!" Feng Hao exclaimed in shock.
"..." Three-second Fire’s face darkened, and it couldn’t help but curse, "You’re the ladyboy! Please, read a book sometime. Figure out the definition of ’agender’ before you open your mouth."
"Bullshit! I graduated from a famous university, of course I know what ’agender’ means," Feng Hao snapped. "But that’s not the point! The point is, should I treat you as a brother or a sister from now on!"
"That does seem to be a problem." Three-second Fire was taken aback and fell silent. After a long while, it said thoughtfully, "No, no, this issue must be considered carefully. It concerns the future happiness of this fire seed. This is no trivial matter."
Feng Hao could understand why Three-second Fire was taking this so seriously.
It was as if heaven had given you a chance to choose your gender all over again. Wouldn’t you be careful about it?
Of course, from Feng Hao’s perspective, he really hoped Three-second Fire would be a guy. After all, its way of speaking and acting was clearly more masculine. You could say that, mentally, it was already a dude.
Besides, if Three-second Fire really became a girl, he definitely wouldn’t have the heart to use the "Tightening Spell" on it in the future.
