Chapter 1393 -1340-1341 Life Simulation–God Clan, Rain Clan_2

Pei Xuanjing’s teachings of Martial Arts were only the most basic and he did not reveal anything too profound. On one hand, it was to avoid attracting the attention of the Gods, and on the other hand, the creatures’ current abilities meant that even if he had taught them, it would not have made any sense because they were unable to practice Cultivation.

Yet even such basic Martial Arts Techniques represented a transformative change for these soldiers, considerably enhancing their strength.

And as Pei Xuanjing tacitly approved the dissemination of these foundational skills to their own tribes and clans, their support for Suiming City undoubtedly grew stronger, and more were eager to join the grand army of Suiming City.

Of course, the development of Suiming City was not all smooth sailing, which was an absolute impossibility.

In particular, their location was at the intersection of several countries. The power of Fire Country recognized the King’s conferral to Sui, but the other kingdoms did not care, and their views on Sui of the human race were no different from those on other humans.

In the beginning, these forces did not pay much attention, but as Suiming City developed, it naturally attracted covetousness, with their eyes dripping with desire for the city’s wealth.

If it had been an effort initiated by the God Clan, that might have been another matter, but when they realized that Suiming City’s true nobility was just a member of the human race, they were thoroughly reassured.

Even if this human was highly regarded by the King of Fire Country, they were not his subjects and remained rivals, so naturally, there was no hesitation.

Thus, finally, one of the forces could not hold back any longer. They dispatched several powerful individuals and led tens of thousands of troops to invade Suiming City, intending to claim it for themselves or, at the very least, to plunder its vast wealth.

It should be noted that the ones who made a move this time were from a God Clan’s power, and though this God Clan was among the lowest tiers within All Tribes, being a weaker God Clan, they were still not comparable to any common Mortal Clan, with Gods as ancestors and several Demigods in existence.

This time, although no Demigods were dispatched, they sent several individuals close to the Communicating with God Realm, leading their tribe’s elite forces.

Pei Xuanjing had said after arriving in this world that due to the very rudimentary division of Cultivation Realms in this world, the transformation from one realm to another is immense, which also means that the disparity in strength within the same realm is pronounced, akin to the difference between heaven and earth.

Under normal circumstances, a more powerful Cultivator of the same realm can suppress several of the same realm. Besides their Cultivation progress within that realm, the influence of bloodlines and Divine Abilities is also quite clear.

And because the God Clan has a robust bloodline and Divine Abilities created by Godly ancestors, they naturally have an advantage when facing the God Clan.

Upon learning that there were only a dozen or so individuals in the Communicating with God Realm guarding Suiming City, the God Clan didn’t perceive any danger. Instead, they saw it as an easy catch.

Even in their view, the real targets of the Communicating with God Realm strong that they dispatched were not the powerful humans of Suiming City, but rather to guard against other God Clans that also harbored designs on Suiming City.

The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind. These God Clans have rooted themselves here for countless years, and none could do anything to the others. But, of course, they each knew the calculations of the others all too well.

They all understood that just as their own faction coveted Suiming City, other God Clans would harbor the same thoughts and make similar attempts.

This is the cruelty of this world, where survival of the fittest reigns supreme and there is no moral code or convention to constrain them, or rather, such moral principles only apply among God Clans and never toward the Mortal Clan.

An innocent man holds guilt when in possession of a gem. When these Mortals are weak, the God Clans pay no mind, but when Mortals possess something that the God Clans believe does not match their status, these Gods will strike decisively without any hesitation.

The members of the God Clan that attacked the human race were known as the Rain Clan, and their realm was called the Rain Country. The ancestral gods of the Rain Clan had once held the position of rain deities within the Heavenly Court. This lineage was a branch amongst the Rain Country’s races, and although they could not be considered powerful, they nonetheless had five Demigods presiding over them.

In response to the Rain Clan’s preemptive strike, the other divine clans were also enraged, for they had regarded Suiming City as their own guaranteed spoil, a meal served upon a plate.

Now with the Rain Clan making a move, it was, without a doubt, akin to snatching food from a tiger’s mouth for the other divine clan powers, seizing what they believed rightfully belonged to them.

The Rain Clan’s movements were swift, they were also the closest to Suiming City. In just a few short days, their powerful forces, led by several strong individuals, arrived within hundreds of miles from Suiming City–a distance they could cover in a single day.

However, confident in their own strength and proud of their status as a formidable God Clan, the Rain Clan’s powerhouses straightforwardly sent envoys to demand Suiming City’s surrender and to offer up everything they had.

Faced with the imposing march of the Rain Clan’s forces, Pei Xuanjing had already been aware of their departure. After all, it would have been odd if, given his personality, he hadn’t deployed scouts and spies to investigate the surrounding areas after settling in Suiming City.

In fact, as soon as they had chosen the location of Suiming City, Pei Xuanjing had specially selected some people to scatter in all directions, infiltrating various cities and tribes–not to bring back any core secrets, but to be notified of any actions taken so that he wouldn’t be caught too off guard.

The so-called ability to calculate the cause of everything merely by flicking a finger was an ability Pei Xuanjing did not possess. This was true not just in this world, but also in the Divine Land World; even there, Pei Xuanjing could not achieve such a feat.

The so-called sudden premonition is when others conspire against oneself, and one, related to the matter at hand, has a sense of it–an instinctual ability of a strong individual.

But the ability to predict everything, to calculate all that powerful individuals can do, is beyond reach. To say nothing of Pei Xuanjing, even Master Tianji, a True Immortal strong in the Heavenly Secret Calculation Path, could not achieve it.

The reason why Pei Xuanjing was able to grasp everything so clearly in the Divine Land World was primarily due to the intelligence network of the Shenxiao Sect and the existence of the Taoist Academy.

With the academy network spread across the entire Great Ming Divine Dynasty, coupled with the system he established, Pei Xuanjing was able to reside in Shenxiao Mountain yet still be informed of events big and small around the world.

In this new world, however, lacking that foundation, intelligence gathering became something for which Pei Xuanjing had to make new preparations and lay the groundwork first.

It must be understood that Sui’s goal was not merely to control Suiming City; he aimed to establish a kingdom, and Pei Xuanjing even aspired to develop this kingdom into an Empire, into a Divine Dynasty. Therefore, intelligence gathering was of utmost importance.

As a neighboring entity to Suiming City, the Rain Clan was a significant threat in Pei Xuanjing’s plans and an obstacle that could not be bypassed in their expansion. Therefore, it was natural for Pei Xuanjing to send spies to infiltrate the Rain Clan.

Not only the Rain Clan but Pei Xuanjing had dispatched people to other divine clans as well, bribing for intelligence, intending to understand his future opponents.

Although the spies sent by Pei Xuanjing could not penetrate into the core of a divine clan such as the Rain Clan, gathering some information was nonetheless effortless.

The Rain Clan, whether out of confidence or because the movement of their great army was too significant to conceal, did not attempt to disguise their actions from the moment they set out, heading straight for Suiming City.

The spies Pei Xuanjing had deployed immediately relayed the news back, hoping that Suiming City would be able to prepare its defenses in advance.
