Chapter 1242 - Chapter 1242 Chapters 1190-1191 Newly Promoted True Immortal

Chapter 1242: Chapters 1190-1191: Newly Promoted True Immortal – Classification of the Immortal Path Realm_2 Chapter 1242: Chapters 1190-1191: Newly Promoted True Immortal – Classification of the Immortal Path Realm_2 And then there was Zhu Houji, the former lord of the Great Ming Divine Dynasty, who now, as the Central Jade Emperor of Heaven, has Tao-certified as a True Immortal, pressuring all sides, and has even invited the Ancestor Celestial Master of Dragon and Tiger Mountain to take a position in the Heavenly Court, offering him the Heavenly Master Divine Position, causing many strong beings to be lost in wild and fanciful thoughts.

The Da Xue Country Lord perfected his Holy Spirit body and Tao-certified to the Human Immortal Path, becoming the second True Immortal of the Human Immortal Path after the Shenxiao True Monarch, with Qi Yun added and strength terrifyingly profound and immeasurable.

Competing with the Da Xue Country Lord, the Great River Country Lord also nearly Tao-certified at the same time, achieving duality in one, with both his True Body and Honghu Dharma Body breaking through simultaneously, possessing such extensive foundations that it was unimaginable to others.

There were also the Gou Chen Sword Master of the Sword Sect, Western Emperor Gouchen, North Pole Emperor Ziwei, and Eastern Emperor Qinghua, who, following the ways of Hou Tu and taking up the mantle of territorial spirits, consecutively Tao-certified; these strong ones Tao-certified themselves as True Immortals and occupied Six Imperial Honorable Positions, their strength terrifying, far surpassing ordinary True Immortals.

Within the Demonic Way, there was a strong one who cultivated the Art of Killing and, after the War of Sealing Gods, perfected himself, took the position of Seven Kills, and Tao-certified as a True Immortal, becoming the Seven Kills Star Lord.

Within the Buddhism School…

There were also the returning Innate Gods and Demons, the once god of fate, now Star Lord Siming. The former Candle Dragon Demon God, now Zhu Jiuyin, the Witch God, and so on.

Without True Immortal obstructions, and with Qi Yun added, these strong beings who had been lying low, thoroughly unleashed their brilliance during these 500 years, one after another overcoming their tribulations and Tao-certifying as True Immortal bodies.

Of course, there were successes, but equally there were failures.

True Immortal Tribulations are most perilous due to the Obstruction Tribulation, yet that does not mean that the Thunder Tribulation of Heaven and Earth can be easily transcended.

Many strong beings underestimated the tribulations and forcibly induced the Immortal Dao tribulations. However, due to insufficient foundations, they failed the tribulation and nearly perished under the Thunder Tribulation of Heaven and Earth.

If not for the compassion of the Emperor of the South Pole Eternal Life, who took into account their meritorious deeds during the War of Sealing Gods and lent a helping hand, these failures would have long perished and vanished from the Tao.

However, terrifying as the Thunder Tribulation of Heaven and Earth is, even with the Emperor of the South Pole Eternal Life’s assistance, their foundations were damaged and they could only choose to completely meld with their Divine Positions, then spend countless time to recover from their injuries, accumulate their foundations, and once again strive for the Immortal Dao.

Of course, with a Divine Position, as long as Heaven and Earth do not revert to Chaos and the Heavenly Court is not destroyed, they are immortal beings with the chance to start over–a luck most fortunate.

These strong beings who failed their tribulations were unlucky, but those newly minted True Immortals, who have stepped onto the Immortal Dao and are ambitious, found that not everything was as they had envisioned–that once they set foot on the Immortal Dao, they could traverse the world unimpeded.

These newly minted True Immortals soon realized that, setting aside the mysterious and unfathomably powerful Longevity Taoist Monarch, even the other veteran True Immortals had already traveled far on the Immortal Dao path. By comparison, they were merely novices on the Immortal Dao.

Longevity Taoist Monarch, this was the new title given to Pei Xuanjing by all the strong beings, a Taoist Monarch, master of the Tao.

After the perfection of the Heavenly Court, the Longevity Taoist Monarch held a Tao teaching session for all the strong ones, openly revealing his three-time Tao-certified True Immortal realm, and named this realm: Profound Immortal.

This Tao teaching session not only recounted the process of his three-time True Immortal certification but also defined the realms of Immortal Dao and established names for different realms.

In times past, the realm divisions of Immortal Dao were not necessary as only a few people reached that level, and although they had varied cultivation, the differences among them were not significant.

But now, with a completed Heaven and Earth, with more True Immortals emerging, there was a need for a clear designation and consensus.

Many True Immortals, as well as those supreme strong who had yet to step onto the Immortal Dao path, did not reject it and, faced with a strong being who had ventured far along the Immortal Dao, they had no intention to oppose.

The Immortal Dao is vast and without much reference or experience; even though there were Immortal Path strong ones before them, there was very little experience for them to truly rely on and fathom.

“`

Now that the Longevity Taoist Monarch is willing to share his experiences and is willing to delineate realms for the Immortal Path, it proves his deep understanding of the Immortal Path. This can serve as a reference or a guidepost for their future cultivation.”

“According to my previous classification, the cultivation path is divided into three realms: Mortal, Spirit, and Immortal. The Mortal and Spirit Realms each have nine tiers, so the Immortal Path Realm should also have nine tiers, divided into the Nine Tiers of True Immortals.”

“And the path of cultivation, based on the Essence, Qi, and Spirit Three Treasures, there should be five paths within the Immortal Path: Heaven, Earth, Human, God, and Ghost. There are Heavenly Immortals, Earth Immortals, Human Immortals, Divine Immortals, and Ghostly Immortals. There are two paths for Immortal Path cultivation: one is to deeply cultivate a single path, advancing from the initiation to True Immortal all the way to the ninth tier, reaching the pinnacle of the Immortal Path. This could yield the ultimate Heavenly Immortal, the perfection of an Earth Immortal, the ultimate Human Immortal, the supreme Divine Immortal, or the ultimate Ghost Immortal.”

“The other path is that of the Five Paths Cultivation. Certifying with the Heaven and Earth, Human, God, Ghost, Five Immortals, where the Five Paths circulate, and Essence, Qi, and Spirit come full circle, the Three repeatedly intertwining. Those who reach the ultimate on the Immortal Path through the Five Paths ascend to the supreme realm of Heaven, Earth, Human, God, and Ghost, acquiring ultimate, supreme, and perfect status.”

“Judging by the Five Paths and Nine Tiers of Immortal Path cultivation, one would need to step through forty-five minor thresholds to truly achieve perfection in the Immortal Path.”

“As for the Profound Immortals, which I initially classified based on certifying three paths myself, I did not consider the path of single-path Immortal cultivation. Thus, a true Profound Immortal should be one who has certified the Path of the True Immortal three times. However, those who practice the Five Paths Cultivation can rightly be termed as Golden Immortals.”

“What then should we call someone who solely cultivates one path and does not cultivate others, yet walks very far on this singular path?” a True Immortal asked, puzzled.

From their perspective, if calculated in this way, the Longevity Taoist Monarch seemed to be promoting his own way.

The cultivation of other true Immortal Dao fruits was not a simple matter for many True Immortals, after all, not every True Immortal had comprehensive capabilities like him, with strong foundations laid in each path.”

The time these True Immortals, or supreme overlords and cultivators, had spent in cultivation was too long, and back in their era, they hadn’t thought so far ahead; they had all been groping along their path.

However, since they could certify True Immortal Dao Fruits, it meant their paths were not wrong, and naturally, they wouldn’t simply deny their own paths upon hearing another’s words.”

Every True Immortal, or every supreme overlord, has reached their current step through extraordinary talent, decisive character, and a steadfast Taoist heart.

Even though Pei Xuanjing had gone far in the Immortal Path and achieved remarkable success, while they respected his path, they would not deny their own because of it.”

“One who cultivates a single path can be called an ‘Extreme Path True Immortal,’” Pei Xuanjing answered with a smile.

Though he was a master, he was still someone groping his way forward on the Immortal Path, and didn’t see a single-path True Immortal as weaker.”

Everyone has limited energy, but the Great Tao is infinite, even if one day I certify the Tao, I won’t think others’ paths are wrong.”

The so-called Great Tao branches into three thousand paths; each person’s path is absolutely unique, and that’s the Dao one should cultivate.”

If everyone simply follows in my footsteps, what they practice is not the Dao but Pei Xuanjing, the Longevity Taoist Monarch, and in doing so, they lose the true essence of the Dao.”

Therefore, when I make the distinction, there is indeed a title for True Immortals who continue to practice on this singular Immortal Dao path: ‘Extreme Path True Immortal.’

Extreme Path practitioners focus on one Dao, achieving ultimate mastery in a particular path, and can thus be termed ‘those of the Extreme Path.’

Extreme Path True Immortals, Profound Immortals, and Golden Immortals merely follow different paths, but this doesn’t mean there’s an actual difference in strength; truly bringing a path to its limit will be no less powerful than any other path.”

Moreover, the principle of analogy suggests that when one truly reaches the pinnacle along a path, their profound understanding on the Immortal Path would enable them to easily begin cultivating other paths.”
