Chapter 964: 33: Palace Master Taros

Chapter 964: Chapter 33: Palace Master Taros

The Mystic God Temple has ten Hall Masters, each being a top-tier Transcendent with extremely strong abilities.

Above the ten Hall Masters is the founder of the Mystic God Temple, also their teacher, who is already a legendary figure, known as one of the most powerful people in the known Universe.

The Temple Master of Chloe Star, Taros, is an Elder who appears to be in his fifties. As for his exact age, even the people of the Mystic God Temple are not sure, but as the disciple of the founder, he is at least two hundred years old, and the founder has not taken any disciples for one or two hundred years.

His cultivation realm seems to be at the peak of Skywalker, but how strong he is specifically is also unclear to the people of this Mystic God Temple, as Taros hasn’t made a move for many years. However, being able to hold this position, his combat power is undoubtedly unquestionable, even if he hasn’t stepped into that legendary realm, he’s definitely nearly invincible in the Skywalker realm.

At this moment, Taros is wearing glasses and reading a book. He’s not tall, even a bit petite, and lacks the aura of strong authority, sitting there quite casually.

“Palace Master.” Cleo called softly again, seeming afraid to disturb the Elder before him.

Taros’s glasses hung on his nose, looking at Cleo as if he were nearsighted. However, he soon smiled, took off his glasses, and said, “Little Cleo, what is it?”

Cleo is certainly not young, in fact, quite old, and as an Elder of the Mystic God Temple, he holds a very high status. But when Taros calls him ‘Little Cleo,’ he doesn’t have any temper.

“Palace Master, today, three youngsters came to participate in the Mystic God Temple’s assessment, two of whom are somewhat special. I’m not sure how to categorize them, so I came to consult you.” Cleo said.

After newcomers enter the Mystic God Temple, they will be ranked and categorized for the first time, with different resources and treatment. Of course, this isn’t fixed, and later it’s up to individual efforts. This is also a competition to motivate Transcendents of the Mystic God Temple to improve themselves.

“Let me see.” Taros took the data sheet from Cleo, glanced at it casually, and instantly spotted the special points Cleo mentioned.

“Neuron test?” Taros raised his eyes to Cleo and asked.

“Yes.” Cleo replied.

Taros Temple Master is a person of antique-level existence, having cultivated under the founder of the Mystic God Temple, he should know better than anyone.

“Two at once?” Taros asked knowingly.

“Yes.” Cleo responded, “They’re even a couple.”

This is indeed quite intriguing.

Xu Mo said he came from a distant planet, but didn’t reveal which planet specifically. Could it be that humans on that planet are somewhat special?

“Well, that’s good. If they have a child later, wouldn’t the child’s talents be even better?” Taros remarked.

“……” Cleo scratched his head, not having thought Taros Temple Master would think so far ahead. But, this legendary Elder is like that; sometimes, one finds him to be an eccentric old man, talkative, verbose, and often not serious.

If one did not know his identity, they probably wouldn’t associate him with the Mystic God Temple’s Temple Master. But he is precisely such a person, and when Cleo first interacted with Taros, he found it somewhat unsettling.

After all, the Mystic God Temple is sacred in the eyes of Transcendents in the republic. He naturally thought the Temple Master of the Mystic God Temple would be an authority full of awe and sanctity, a top-tier strong figure whose every word and action would be unequivocally forceful.

“Right, arrange for them to live together, separately arranged.” Taros added.

Cleo was puzzled.

“If they have a child sooner, wouldn’t it be good to grow up in the Mystic God Temple?” Taros mused, suggesting to nurture them from a young age.

Cleo: “……”

Are you serious, Elder?

“You are responsible for the assessment; categorize them as you see fit. Don’t ask my opinion.” Taros said with a smile, very casually.

Cleo felt a bit troubled, thinking that if he knew how to categorize them, he wouldn’t have come to bother the Elder.

“By the way, Xu Mo comes from a distant Star Domain and can’t conveniently explain to me. He has conflicts with the Church. Is there a possibility that this is the Church’s arrangement?” Cleo asked, explaining some of the happenings to Taros.

Although Xu Mo killed a bishop, and the Church sent people to arrest him, is there a possibility that the Church is performing a play for them to watch?

“Don’t worry about it.” Taros replied.

“Palace Master’s meaning…” Cleo showed a seeking expression.

“Idiots would send such people as spies. Even if they’re spies, we should recruit them.” Taros said, “The Red Archbishop on Capital Star can let him experience the cross punishment.”

Cleo heard Taros’s words and showed a thoughtful expression, seeming to understand something.

“I understand, Palace Master, I will retreat now.” Cleo said.

With that, he left the area.

The Church’s cross punishment is the most brutal form of torture, tormenting people to death. The Church employs cross punishment tactics only when dealing with traitors, and the Palace Master’s meaning seems to suggest that if an Archbishop sent Xu Mo and Zero as spies, it equates to a Church traitor.

Doesn’t this affirm the significance of Xu Mo and Zero’s talents?

So Cleo understood.

“You don’t understand.” After Cleo left, Taros chuckled quietly, holding the two data sheets Cleo handed over, and after putting his glasses back on, he looked at them a few more times, seemingly reluctant to put them down.
