Chapter 849: 160: Shadows

Chapter 849: Chapter 160: Shadows

In the space outside Bruce Star, both fleets were still engaging in long-range exchanges.

In the main ship of the Mandala Star, Hades stared at the battlefield and ordered, “Prepare to attack Bruce Star.”

The Star System Alliance wanted to employ stalling tactics, but they must not let the other side succeed. The Mandala Star United Kingdom came from afar, without geographical advantage.

“This is the Odin Mountain Star command center, reporting to Your Highness.” At this time, a voice came through the Starship’s Communicator.

“I am here.” Hades responded.

“Recently, there have been reports to recall warships to Odin Mountain Star for rest, but twelve warships have yet to return, and communication has been cut off.” The voice made Hades frown deeply. If it were only that they hadn’t returned, it could be discussed.

But, communication cut-off?

The route between Odin Mountain Star and Bruce Star has no obstacles, which would not affect communication, and a Starship could not voluntarily cut off communication, so there is only one possibility, ambushed.

Hades, who was commanding the battle on the front lines, did not issue commands for the retreating warships, so he did not notice.

The retreating fleets generally contact the Odin Mountain Star logistics unit.

Moreover, the retreating fleet had all been attacked, their warships damaged, lacking much defensive capability. If ambushed by intact warships, they would be no match.

“Why report only now?” Hades’ voice held a hint of coldness.

“We initially thought it was battlefield delays, but realized after a long time that many warships lost contact, indicating something was off.” The logistics command unit answered.

“Notify all damaged warships to halt their return, and additionally, have Odin Mountain Star prepare defenses against a surprise attack.” Hades commanded, “Major General Kaff.”

“Your Highness, I am here.” Major General Kaff responded from another primary attack warship.

“Lead your fleet to circle back to Odin Mountain Star and act accordingly. If Odin Mountain Star is attacked, ensure the ambushing fleet is destroyed in one blow.” Hades instructed.

“Yes, Your Highness.” Major General Kaff received the order and led his fleet to return.

“Other fleets, advance as a whole towards Bruce Star and destroy it.” Hades continued to give orders; this was the front-line battlefield, extremely intense, but if the Star System Alliance had any hidden moves, they had to be prepared.

Although a fleet was stationed at Odin Mountain Star for defense, the hidden fleet strength of the Star System Alliance was unknown, so he dispatched Kaff back to assist as a precaution.

Simultaneously, he ordered a full offense, halting any further delays, and capturing Bruce Star as quickly as possible. If the rear was lost, their logistics units would be destroyed, leaving no retreat; the war had to be concluded swiftly.

The mighty fleet advanced towards Bruce Star, launching an all-out assault, with ferocious and fierce momentum, pushing forward relentlessly, forcing the Star System Alliance’s fleets to retreat step by step.

This left them suspicious; had the Mandala Star fleet gone mad?

The main commanders understood; perhaps their Assault Fleet had arrived and was attacking Odin Mountain Star?

“Defend with all strength and stall them.” Orders were issued from the main ship of the Star System Alliance, needing to hold this fleet back to buy time for the Assault Fleet to destroy Odin Mountain Star.

The decisive battle would be made in this encounter.

Xu Mo, still wandering through the starway between the two planets, never expected that their ‘hunting’ would spark the earlier onset of the final showdown.

Xu Mo and his team were still hunting, but found that no returning warships were present.

“Looks like they’ve been discovered.” Xu Mo thought, knowing that taking twelve warships must have drawn attention.

“Stay alert to any movements, it’s likely the Mandala Star will send a fleet to ambush us.” Xu Mo ordered from the main ship.

“Xu Mo.” At this moment, Ge Qing’s voice was heard.

“Here.” Xu Mo responded.

“Just received news that Mandala Star is launching a total attack against Bruce Star. The confrontation has already begun and a decisive battle might break out.” Ge Qing informed.

“Received.” Xu Mo replied.

His eyes sparkled with excitement.

If Mandala Star Fleet and Star System Alliance Fleet engage in a decisive battle, which side should they advance to first?

“Go to Odin Mountain Star.” After contemplation, Xu Mo ordered.

The decisive battle would take some time; they should first take down the Odin Mountain Star fleet, then head to the site of the decisive battle.

This was truly a godsend opportunity.

The fleet moved majestically, heading towards Odin Mountain Star. When approaching Odin Mountain Star, the fleet suddenly captured a signal.

“Captain Xu Mo, a fleet has appeared, possibly belonging to the Star System Alliance.” Other warships also caught the signal and reported to Xu Mo.

“Confirm it.” Xu Mo commanded.

A moment later, a voice confirmed, “Confirmed, it’s the Star System Alliance fleet moving towards Odin Mountain Star.”

“Surprise attack.”

Xu Mo could hardly believe his luck; he had been pondering whether Odin Mountain Star would have defensive forces and whether he could capture it.

At this moment, the Star System Alliance fleet appeared, conveniently paving the way for them.

“Avoid them, do not get detected, proceed at reduced speed.” Xu Mo ordered.

“Yes.” Everyone obeyed, and the fleet began to slow down as they arrived near the star domain of Odin Mountain Star.

Gilson, leading his fleet to the outskirts of Odin Mountain Star, with sharp eyes glowing with excitement, the sword is drawn, ready to strike.
