Chapter 672: Chapter 74: The Baroma Prince, Worthy of the Princess’s Condescension_2

Utter defeat!

The genius with the strongest combat power from Lucas University, Louis, was defeated at the hands of Zade without a fight and was brutally overpowered.

As Louis’s body hit the ground, countless eyes turned to the dark figure suspended in the air.

Not to mention Zade, even Uno’s combat power from just moments ago wasn’t much weaker—how many could possibly shake them?

This time, Lucas University seemed to be thoroughly trounced.

The citizens of Lucas Star watched the battlefield on their screens in silence. Had they been defeated?

Did Lucas University still have a chance?

Some people came forward to carry Louis away. Watching his carried-off figure, the students of Lucas University fell into silence, feeling a sense of tragic determination. Louis’s defeat was akin to a total rout.

Nobody was able to challenge Zade; they had to admit that Zade’s combat power surpassed that of all the students at Lucas University.

The vast battle area was devoid of any sound, everyone was as silent as the dead, and no one else stepped forward.

To do so would only add to their humiliation.

Nilo looked at the screen and a scornful smile appeared in his eyes. Seeing that no one from Lucas University was coming forward, Nilo spoke up, “Has our most prestigious institution of the Star System Alliance run out of people?”

The students from Lucas University glared at Nilo with fury, only to see him standing up, looking down condescendingly at the distant students, “Where are those who stood up earlier?”

“Surely you only have courage when in large numbers?” Nilo’s voice was laden with mockery, “All those who stood up earlier claimed to be participants of that day’s events. Now, why don’t you roll out?”

The students of Lucas University felt extremely humiliated, but standing up wouldn’t change anything—it would just be another humiliation.

“Nilo,” the head of the Extraordinary Department, Kasi, spoke up, “The students of Lucas University were targeting you because it was your barbarism that led to everything that happened. There’s nothing to be proud of in summoning the Holy Temple Knights to take revenge on your behalf.”

Nilo glanced at Kasi and spoke loudly, “True to a Lucas University professor. The students of Lucas University can gang up on me, but I can’t call my subordinates to settle the score with them? Tell me, should I give them another chance to gang up on me to be worthy of pride?”

“No wonder you teach a bunch of cowards without courage, only daring to hide behind others.”

“Boom…” A figure angrily charged forward, but in the next moment, Zade burst forth like lightning, shimmering in dark light, and with a punch, sent the challenger flying back even faster than they had come.

That person fell towards the crowd, their armor shattered and their breastbone broken.

Nilo cast a disdainful glance at the fallen figure and continued to mock as he looked at the angry eyes of the students from Lucas University, “Since you’re all a bunch of cowards, I’ll let you off today, but there’s someone you must hand over. Where is your university librarian hiding?”

Lucas University Librarian.

“Xu Mo!”

Nilo, clearly, was not willing to let Xu Mo go.

All the students of Lucas University knew Xu Mo. He had beaten up Nilo and was absent today.

No one responded.

Nilo, fixing his gaze on those figures, said, “It doesn’t matter you didn’t show up today, I’ll send someone again tomorrow.”

Xu Mo, standing beside Princess Elizabeth, felt somewhat troubled. Was he being targeted?

It seemed that his beating of Nilo last time had left quite a grudge.

“There’s one more thing. I heard that Princess Elizabeth is very dissatisfied with me. I watched that speech of hers as well. It was quite brilliant,” Nilo said, turning his gaze towards where Princess Elizabeth was, smiling, “This time, I will abide by the laws of Lucas Star. As a barbarian from the Baloma Kingdom, may I have the honor of having a bout with Princess Elizabeth?”

As he spoke, Nilo was already walking down towards the fighting stage, step by step approaching it.

As a prince of the Baloma Kingdom, he wouldn’t disgrace Princess Elizabeth’s status, would he?

He wanted to see how, in front of everyone on Lucas Star, Elizabeth was going to refuse him today?

Elizabeth stared at Nilo as he stepped out into the arena.

“Nilo is a mad dog, don’t go,” Ize whispered, sounding somewhat worried.

The impression Nilo gave him was that of a madman. Once Elizabeth entered the fight, what might follow was unpredictable.

Even if Elizabeth was stronger than Nilo, there was no guarantee she could defeat him.

They didn’t know what kind of tricks these madmen had up their sleeves, after all, Nilo had come prepared.

When Nilo reached the center of the combat platform, Zade Uno and the others retreated behind. The Temple Knights, with their Long Spears, stamped the ground, creating a uniform sound. They shouted in unison, as if provoking a challenge.

“I believe as a princess of the Lucas Star Federation and a student of Lucas University, Miss Elizabeth will, just like the last time, bravely step forward. If I lose, no one will intervene. Of course, if Miss Elizabeth loses, considering Princess Elizabeth’s noble status and beauty, I will show mercy,” Nilo continued, his voice carrying a sarcastic tone, aiming to incite Elizabeth’s anger.

Elizabeth glared at Nilo, leaning forward, ready to step ahead. She had made significant progress during her time at Lucas University; her Combat Power was not weak, and her Source Power Level had reached A-grade. She didn’t believe she couldn’t defeat Nilo.

However, just as she was about to step out, Xu Mo grabbed her arm, causing Elizabeth to pause and look back at Xu Mo beside her.

Ize and Carter also paused, surprised that a guard would dare to be so bold as to grab Elizabeth’s arm.

“Princess, your humble servant wishes to serve you,” Xu Mo spoke up, his grip on her arm steady. He also didn’t feel confident about Elizabeth facing Nilo. Should Elizabeth face defeat, Nilo’s purpose would be fully achieved, and the prestige Elizabeth had built up would be weakened.

This was certainly not what Xu Mo wanted to see, and it was the reason he served as a guard.

Elizabeth fell silent for a moment, then nodded. Following that, Xu Mo stepped forward.

Innumerable glances from Lucas University turned toward them, filled with surprise.

A guard?

What was the meaning of a guard stepping forward?

Moreover, Nilo had come as a prince of the Baloma Kingdom. A guard did not equal his status.

Nilo frowned as well, seeing Xu Mo step onto the combat platform. He said scornfully, “What status do you have to stand here? Get back!”

A mere guard, thinking to replace Elizabeth?

“Baroma Prince, lacking in manners, how dare you expect a princess of a superior nation to stoop so low?” Xu Mo stared at Nilo and spoke, “The princess asked me to relay a message to you. Having retreated to Baloma, you should not have come back, lest you shame yourself.”

Xu Mo’s words stunned everyone.

A guard, with a lowly status, indeed did not match Nilo’s stature and should not have come forward.

However, as Xu Mo spoke, suddenly everyone felt a wave of imposing arrogance hit them.

“Baroma Prince, lacking in manners, how dare you expect a princess of a superior nation to stoop so low?”

What a domineering statement.

Many took a serious look at the guard present. Yet, did he have the strength to support such haughty words? If not, it likely would backfire, and he would be the subject of ridicule.

Many looked at Xu Mo with concern; he was representing Princess Elizabeth now, not just himself.

This guard, too audacious.

“Sir!” Elizabeth’s heart raced as she watched Xu Mo step up to the combat platform.

For a moment, the area fell into an extraordinary silence!
