Chapter 1129 - Capítulo 1129: 175: Epic and Elegy
Capítulo 1129: Chapter 175: Epic and Elegy
On Komlin Star, a large number of small fleets shot skyward, followed by the launch of large warships heading into the upper atmosphere.
On the ground, anti-aircraft weapons at the military base fired directly at the targets.
In the high skies, the fleet led by Allen dispersed, rapidly heading towards space.
“All warships break formation, counterattack only, no combat allowed, full speed retreat,” Allen ordered. In ‘stealth’ mode, the ground-to-air weapons couldn’t lock on, only firing blind within a range. As long as they broke formation, it would be hard to hit them.
The battle strategy was very simple: a lightning assault. They sent people ahead to scout the planet, pinpointed the enemy base’s location, approached under ‘stealth’ to launch a lightning strike, and then directly withdrew.
As long as they safely returned to space, the mission would be considered complete.
Missiles howled by in the high skies, while the warships below rapidly pursued their departing trajectory.
On the ground, the Governor of Komlin Star had a grim expression. Today was his daughter’s birthday celebration, yet the Bern Group’s base suffered a concentrated attack.
“When can the Heavenly Net System be repaired?” the Governor asked with fury, to which the commander beside him responded, “Governor, it will take some time.”
Although Komlin Star wasn’t a provincial center, it was within Chloe Star’s domain. While the republic wouldn’t invest immense resources to build a space base—since ordinary space bases had no strategic significance and could be easily destroyed by powerful attacks—the cost of a top-tier space base was too high.
Therefore, Komlin Star had built its own Heavenly Net System for monitoring and simple defense, but it was destroyed in previous conflicts and had not been repaired since.
“We must detain them, dead or alive,” the Governor commanded with murderous intent in his voice. Not the Kales Empire’s army, but merely the fleet of the Blue Star Technology Group dared to launch an attack?
In space, beams of light shot forth, as a fleet broke free from the gravitational pull of Komlin Star and continued into the deep reaches of space.
“How are the losses?” Allen asked.
“One starship destroyed, two damaged, everything else is normal.”
“Maintain a certain speed, not too fast. Let the enemy fleet catch up,” Allen said.
The fleet dispersed, maintaining formation from afar as it headed deeper into space. Behind them, more warships appeared, not just the small fleet chasing them, but also large starships emerging.
In one of the military warships, Keith wore a uniform, looking solemn and cold-eyed.
“Colonel Keith,” appeared Tang Mo’s face on the screen in front. Earlier, they had been at the banquet and, after separating, boarded the fleet as quickly as possible.
“Anything to say, Mr. Tang Mo?” Keith asked.
“I heard there’s been a battle on Chloe Star before. Xu Mo attacked my Tang family’s fleet. Could they use the same trick again?” Tang Mo said, as the previous incident resulted in significant losses for their family.
“Xu Mo and the team probably have a powerful advanced battleship,” Tang Mo added.
“Indeed,” Keith nodded, “so this time, along with the Governor, we’ve dispatched a large fleet. If they appear again, it’s even better. I’ve contacted Major General—if that advanced battleship shows up, we’ll bite down on them. Even if we have to delay a bit, we can keep them from leaving.”
The fleet here was not weak, with the military’s fleet, Komlin’s fleet, and the Bern family’s local forces forming a strong alliance that could hold its ground even against advanced battleships.
“In that case, then it’s hard work, Colonel Keith. Our losses were heavy when the base was destroyed; the enemy must pay a price,” Tang Mo’s voice was icy.
“Of course,” Keith replied coldly, both of their voices carrying murderous intent.
More and more warships were charging into space, forming a large fleet.
This fleet entered space entirely, pursuing the small fleet ahead, like a cat toying with a mouse, chasing its prey.
“Damn, they really dispatched a large fleet? How many warships is this?” Allen cursed on the warship.
Just to chase them, was it necessary to be so exaggerated?
But the power of these spacefaring planets was indeed terrifying. Any planet, not even a large one, could field nearly a hundred warships at once.
Moreover, this wasn’t even their full power; they surely had ships stationed elsewhere.
“Brothers, if we can pull this off, we’ll make it big,” Allen’s voice tinged with excitement as he said, “Full speed ahead.”
Each warship accelerated to escape, and in the distance behind them, numerous laser beams fired from extreme range.
“Scatter and dodge freely. Once we get further away from Komlin Star, the mission will be successfully completed. Survival is up to each of you,” Allen shouted.
“Shit!”
Some cursed.
“What if we die on our first mission?” someone shouted.
Allen’s eyes suddenly became stern, as he said, “Remember the oath when we joined the Blue Star Fleet.”
The crowd fell silent. Byron Star gathered the strength of the Blue Star Alliance to form the Blue Star Fleet, and the requirements for members were extremely rigorous; each recruit was an elite among elites.
“If we perish in space, our homeland will erect monuments for us,” Allen stated. Before departure, Byron Star had ensured detailed records of all members.
Knowing many might not return, they nonetheless charged ahead, into the starlit space.
“Shit, I haven’t even seen the alive Xu Mo yet. Can we cut the ominous talk?” someone cursed, prompting laughter from many.
Amid the laughter, the fleet traced arcs as it moved forward, under dense attacks, a warship was hit and turned into a splendid firework in space.
Allen glanced at that splendid firelight, the smile on his face gradually solidified, his voice solemn as he said, “The Blue Star Fleet is not to be exposed just yet, thanks for your hard work everyone.”
“Understood.”
“Understood…”
Somber voices came through, and the fleet continued towards the depths of space.
With persistent pursuit, two more warships were destroyed, and in the main ship of the military, Keith frowned and said, “Still haven’t found any other warships?”
“No.”
Keith showed an unusual look, maybe guessed wrong?
Did they really send only a small fleet for a raid?
Is this how they sent themselves to death.
“Hiss…” A sharp sound was heard, and Keith’s expression changed.
“The signal is being invaded,” the warship operator said.
“Didn’t you say you found nothing?” Keith’s eyes were cold, apparently realizing the opponent had appeared.
“I see it, it’s a large warship, currently invading our signal,” the controller responded, and on the screen, a huge warship appeared, precisely the Chiyou Battleship.
“Right on time.” Keith’s voice was cold, a murderous intent flickering in the pitch-black eyes, he said, “All fleet members, pay attention, the opponent’s main battleship has appeared, it’s an advanced battleship, immediately activate the all-round defense system, prepare to take out the opponent.”
As he finished speaking, the screen flickered, and a masked face appeared in Keith’s view.
Keith stared at the opponent, actually sensing a pressure from them.
Is this the commander of the opponent’s warship?
“I am Colonel Keith, was the terror attack on Komlin Star orchestrated under your command?” Keith stared at the medium and spoke.
“Keith,” the medium called out, “Surrender?”
“Surrender?” Keith revealed a peculiar expression, coldly saying, “You are already surrounded by our fleet.”
“Are you sure?”
The medium spoke, more signals invaded, causing Keith’s warship to completely lose connection, losing contact with the fleet, and simultaneously, many red light dots appeared on the screen.
At the same time, on the screen, at different positions in space, warships appeared, forming a massive encirclement, trapping them in this piece of starry sky.
“Impossible.” A voice emerged within Keith, it was a large fleet, at least a hundred warships, how could Xu Mo possibly control a fleet of this scale?
“Who are you people?” Keith asked.
Does Xu Mo have help behind him?
“Colonel Keith, you are too confident,” the voice of the medium carried a murderous intent, then ordered, “Don’t kill the surrendering warships, fire at will.”
On the main ship of the Blue Star Fleet, Benjamin looked at the space fleet and spoke, “Fire.”
In space, incredibly dazzling lights appeared, terrifying energy waves carried a sense of destruction, covering this region.
In Tang Mo’s warship, watching the scene in space, his face was pale.
Just as the opponent said, they were too confident.
He had warned Keith, but the other believed their fleet was enough to take out the opponent, only not realizing that the opponent was not just one warship, but like them, a complete large fleet.
At this moment, their warships were even in a state of disconnection, completely severed signals, unable to call for help.
The opponent deliberately drew them into the deep space for a hunt.
“It’s over.” A voice echoed in Tang Mo’s mind.
This fleet, it’s over.
The Blue Star Fleet, the warships Allen and the others piloted returned to the fleet formation, this mission altogether lost four warships.
“Allen, well done,” Benjamin’s voice transmitted.
“Mission accomplished perfectly,” Allen replied, there was no joy in his voice from completing the mission, although mentally prepared, seeing comrades die silently in the mission, Allen’s heart was still pained.
They set out with limitless expectations, yet the journey in space was evidently not just a grand epic, but also a song of death.
In years to come, how many of those who came can return?
