"Everyone, be careful! Protect the Han Shipowner and don’t wander around," Chen Yishui ordered, as she and Wu Mengyue kept a close watch on the boat and the sea.

Sister Tang nodded. "Don’t worry, we’ll take good care of the Han Shipowner."

Han Xiaorui grabbed the walkie-talkie to contact Qi Heng and Wu Guangfu.

They were also being hit by the hailstorm, but fortunately, they had chosen a good place to stop, where the wind and waves were weaker.

"Xiao Han, don’t worry about us. We should be fine. Just focus on keeping yourself safe," Qi Heng reassured her. He was grateful he had followed Han Xiaorui’s advice to stop for the night instead of continuing to work. As long as they had a sheltered spot, the fishing boat was much safer.

It was the same on Wu Guangfu’s boat; he remained composed and calm.

Their haul tonight had been huge; they had never caught so many fish in their lives.

The hail came as quickly as it went. After about half an hour, it stopped.

Everyone worked quickly, tossing the hailstones into the sea.

Chen Yishui did a check. "I’ll take the first watch. The rest of you go get some rest. Xiao Rui, you should get to sleep. Don’t overtire yourself."

Han Xiaorui shook her head. "Sister Shui, you all worked so hard just now. I’m the one who didn’t do anything. I’ll take the watch. You go rest, too."

Chen Yishui didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. "Han Shipowner, you may not have been doing physical labor, but you’re pregnant. Could you please act like it? I’ll stand watch for four hours, and then Mengyue will take over. We’re the captains. We get paid more, so we work more."

Wu Mengyue nodded. "Exactly. Han Shipowner, don’t argue. We have to earn our pay. Besides, we can handle it. Don’t you worry."

With everyone telling her this, Han Xiaorui stopped insisting. If she kept being stubborn, none of the crew would go to rest, and that would just waste more of everyone’s time.

She hadn’t thought she was tired, but the moment she lay down in her cabin, a wave of exhaustion washed over her, and she quickly fell asleep.

She didn’t usually smoke, but when she was exhausted on a night watch, she’d have one to wake herself up.

She lit one now, standing at the boat’s railing. One of the ship’s lights had been smashed in the hailstorm, leaving only a single large lamp.

Gazing out at the pitch-black sea, Chen Yishui stretched. She hadn’t slept for over a dozen hours and was genuinely exhausted, but she was the captain. She could handle it.

At three in the morning, Wu Mengyue came to relieve Chen Yishui. "Sister Shui, go get some sleep. I’ll take it from here!"

"Alright. Keep a close eye on the water. I have a feeling something’s about to happen." Chen Yishui was so tired she could barely keep her eyes open. She went back to her bunk and fell asleep instantly.

Wu Mengyue did a full sweep of the boat with a flashlight, inside and out. Once she confirmed everything was in order, she returned to the pilothouse.

But before she could even sit down, Wu Mengyue felt the boat get bumped. It wasn’t violent, but it was definitely noticeable.

Wu Mengyue got up and looked out at the water, and her jaw dropped. She shone her flashlight onto the sea and saw that a huge area around them seemed to be completely surrounded by a school of fish.

She couldn’t make out their color, so she couldn’t tell what kind of fish they were, but it was as if the boat had fallen right into the middle of a massive school.

At the same time, Wu Mengyue also spotted the familiar figure of Xiao Dai. She immediately shouted, "Everyone, get up! Time to fish! The water’s full of them!"
