Chapter 671 – The Scum Is A Trash

Ho Ting sneered when he heard the question. "If not for our father holding a high position that time, then who knows what will happen to our mother?" he asked as his eyes narrowed in anger. 

Everyone was shocked of his answer. Seeing that Ho Yue's expression is heavy, they know that Ho Ting isn't lying. 

"Damn this sick bastard!" they cursed as they slapped the table because of anger. "He is really a trash!" they said. 

Ho Ting nodded in affirmation while Ho Yue helplessly sighed. 

"That time, that trash was revered highly by the sect since he came from a very well-known temple that is known to cultivate strong priests that exorcises demons." Ho Ting started. "Even the sect leader respects him. Many members of our sect fears him." he said. 

They all resumed eating and are silent as they listened to Ho Ting narrate to them. 

"He is very pretentious." Ho Ting snorted as he pierced the vegetable on his bowl. "Do you know why I say that he is pretentious?" he asked. "He acted like someone really reputable and had that mysterious air around him as if he is really a master!" he said. Then, he suddenly paused, and smiled. "But, of course, not my father!" he grinned. 

Hearing this, Ho Yue also smiled when he remembered his late elder brother. 

"Your father?" they asked. 

Ho Ting nodded. "En. My father. He saw through this pretentious trash!" he said. 

Their eyes widened in surprise. "How?!" they exclaimed. 

"My father has a pair of discerning eyes, of course!" Ho Ting said with his nose raised. 

Ho Yue chuckled, while the others laughed, feeling amused. Ho Ting is really still a child. They thought as they watch his behavior. 

But, it was as if Ho Ting doesn't mind, though as he continued to act like a child proud of his father who he highly respects. "My father then asked the sect leader about this. But – " his smile disappeared and he frowned. " – do you know what happened next?" he asked as he looked at them. 

Naturally, they don't know, so they shook their heads as an answer. Meanwhile, the light in Ho Yue's eyes disappeared, since he already knew the answer. 

"That idiot sect leader… yes! Qi Lan's father!" Ho Ting continued. "He was dissatisfied with our father asking him this and even accused my father that my father is questioning his judgement… and even challenging his authority!" he said. 

They gasped in shock. "What an idiot he really is!" they exclaimed. A new person just suddenly appeared… of course, one naturally has to be vigilant! Yet, this sect leader is really blind! 

"Heh. Naturally." Ho Ting sneered. "That pretentious trash heard my father and, guess what he did?" he asked them. 

"What did he do?" they immediately asked. 

"Heh. He provoked the trust between my father and the sect leader!" Ho Ting answered. "Though, this trust is as thin as a needle." He snorted in disdain. 

They all fell silent, feeling speechless. No wonder this sect leader who is actually an idiot to be deceived by this fake priest killed Ho Ting's parents, who should be trusted. Instead, he is actually wary of Ho Ting's father when it should be this Bozun that he should be wary of! He is truly an idiot! 

"Naturally, the idiot sect leader was provoked." Ho Ting continued. "And this Bozun… he is really very pretentious!" he gnashed his teeth in anger when he recalled it. "He challenged my father!" he said. 

Everyone's mouth fell open in shock. "He what?!" they exclaimed. 

"Heh. Of course, my father is stronger than him!" Ho Ting suddenly smugly smiled. "The reason behind why this pretentious priest challenged my father was because to gain the idiot sect leader's trust and impress him, making him look like someone he can rely on and trust. The other reason is that he hopes to kill my father, because my father is a threat to him since he desires my father's position in the sect, and he also coveted my mother." He sneered. 

They all fell silent, feeling speechless of how shameless this pretentious priest is! He is even more shameless than Cheng Sheng!

Cheng Sheng, who is currently detoxifying the poison from Dong Zheng's body, was shot while lying down. "… achoo!" he sneezed. 

"Cheng-shidi. You should always keep yourself warm." Fei Yin said as he took out a robe from his qiankun pouch and wore it on Cheng Sheng's shoulder. 

Chen Han who saw what happened felt complicated in his heart. He wanted to hate Fei Yin but he can't since he saw how Fei Yin cared for his young brother Cheng Sheng. In the end, he heaved a sigh and helped Sun Yi and Lei Qing untie the Dongcheng Sect disciples from their binding.

"Please… please, you must save sect leader!" the disciples cried as soon as the cover from their mouths were removed. "And da shixiong… have you met da shixiong? How was he?" they added as tears streamed down their cheeks. 

Just by listening to their questions, they can see the obvious respect and care that they have towards Dong Zheng and Dong Cheng. The Dongcheng Sect, like the Xinfaxian Sect, also is a family, except for these two traitors, the other father and son pair, Dong Chi and his father. 

Upon hearing Dong Cheng's name, Lei Qing's cheeks burned red. "Ehem." She coughed. "Dong Cheng is now safe. Or else, why would be here?" she said. "He managed to reach the Zhongyang through Cheng-shidi's teleportation arrays and asked us for help." She explained, although this wasn't what really happened. 

They just can't tell them that Dong Cheng has already prepared himself to die with them, for Dong Cheng doesn't want to waste even a second to explain to them what happened to his sect lest Dong Chi got impatient and killed Dong Zheng and the disciples. 

Upon hearing what Lei Qing said, the disciples sighed in relief. Then, they anxiously looked at the unconscious Dong Zheng. If not for Dong Zheng's chest moving, they would think that he already died. "Sect leader!" they called. "Sect leader, did you hear that? Da shixiong was safe! And he even called help for us!" they said, unable to hide the joy in their voices. 

But, Dong Zheng remained unconscious. After all, he can't hear what they said. But, despite this, the disciples continued to talk to Dong Zheng. Cheng Sheng feels annoyed with their noise, but he can't just mercilessly shut them up. Also, he is wishing for them to be able to wake Dong Zheng up with this good news.

Give some to the disciples, too, along with the magic pills and potions for them to recover their strength, and also to treat their wounds. They could also help you fight." He told them before he went inside Bai Tan's 'stomach'. 

Fei Yin then took Bai Tan inside his sleeve before he faced the disciples. "You heard our shidi." He said as he and Lei Qing took out their qiankun pouches containing magic pills and potions while Chen Han and Sun Yi handed the talismans to the disciples for them to be able to see the spirit servants. 

As expected, they sucked ina cold breath when they saw the corpses of the spirit servants along with the Devouring Worms lying on the floor and scattered. "These… these are…?!" they exclaimed in horror. 

Although they rarely leave the sect, they already heard of the spirit servants and Devouring Worms as Qie Shi's intelligence network relayed these information to them, too. 

"There are more of them coming." Sun Yi told them as he and Chen Han watched outside and saw many shadows run and crawl their way. 

"Prepare to fight!" Chen Han said. 

Lei Qing raised her sword to fight while Fei Yin took out some talismans to make a formation that Cheng Sheng taught him before acting as a barrier, protecting the people inside the formation. The disciples know what Fei Yin wanted to do and they looked at him with their eyes filled with gratitude while they resumed treating their wounds and drinking the medicines. 

They can't currently fight and had to wait until their strength recovers before they could raise their swords and avenge their sect leader, da shixiong, and their sect.. So, they can only watch right now as Fei Yin, Chen Han, Lei Qing and Sun Yi fight, and learn from them.
