We quickly made arrangements for the one-star Dragon Ball with Mr. Hojo, then came back to the hotel to sleep. Before the principal left us, he asked, after removing his headphones, “Children, since we have several days of waiting, would it be possible to take me to that one world during the interim?” Ayaka smiles that hero's smile on her flushed face from our recent intimacy returning here and says, “I have been wanting to visit Miss Delia again. Do you want to leave tomorrow morning?” He smiles that elegant smile of his and says, “I would be most delighted. Children, I’ll meet you here after breakfast.” With that, he leaves.

I summon Sir Floof out of his Pokéball and let him out. He adorably and elegantly stretches. As I pet him, I tell him, “We are going to visit your home world tomorrow.” It is about 9 PM here. My stomach growls a little, wanting a snack. Ayaka reaches over to the nightstand, picks up the room service menu, plops back down beside me, and asks, “What are you in the mood for?” Both Sir Floof and I look over the menu. I say, “Hmmmm. I think I am craving ramen.” Sir Floof chirps and spins like he wants some, too. I ask him, “Do you want some, too?” He nods. Ayaka says, “Then I will order 3 bowls of ramen, and get Garlic a salad. Hey Garlic, do you have any preference for a particular salad?” He comes out of his Pokéball, looks over the menu, and orders a Mediterranean salad with chopped veggies, cheese, olives, and chickpeas. It looks delicious from the picture. Ayaka makes the order using the hotel app on the phone, just as we did in Ghana, since our English isn’t that good.

The chef prepared our dishes again and stayed while we ate, clearly enjoying the sight of Sir Floof and Garlic savoring his cooking, their eyes shining with excitement. I really like him; he takes his work quite seriously, and his appearance would give ‘Fumiaki’ and ‘Hanzo’ a run for their money. A very handsome, dark man with a chiseled jaw, a well-groomed, faded beard, and dreads tied back into a thick ponytail. His chef’s coat, an elegant black with gold embellishments, bears the hotel’s emblem. I have never had a stranger, besides Miss Kubo, cook for me and actually care whether it pleased me. I appreciate that a lot. His ramen both looks and tastes as good as Ichiraku’s, and he maintains a professional demeanor. The more I see this man, the more I want to hire him.

I whisper to Ayaka, “I want him more now. Can we offer him more money?” She smiles, pulls out her phone, and speaks into it: “2,000,000 US dollars plus any travel and living expenses.” If his mouth drops any lower, it will be on the floor. He nods and shakes her hand, “My name is Deonte Williams, and it will be a pleasure working with you. I won’t be able to move right away, though. Would it be alright if I could tie up loose ends around here before moving? I will need to make arrangements for everything I own and speak with my loved ones, which will take some time.”

Ayaka responds using her translation application as I nod, “That is perfect since we will need to prepare a place for you to stay in Japan.” He sighs in relief, hearing our words, and Ayaka asks, “How does a month sound?” He nods his head rapidly, “That is perfect.” Ayaka smiles and says, “Great, we will be in touch. We can come and pay for everything using my lover’s teleportation quirk, so there is no need to worry. Can we get you to sign a non-disclosure agreement as well? We would like for you to keep personal things about my lover and me a secret.” He nods, and they stop shaking hands. It would be best if he officially moved by normal means, so it doesn’t look like he just disappeared. We wouldn’t want the police involved in a missing person’s case or anything.

He smiles as we finish eating. He happily takes our bowls and says in broken Japanese, “G-good n-night.” The fact that he learned some of our language shows how much he considered our proposition the first time around. Ayaka smiles at him and responds, “Good night, Deonte. Thank you for the food.” He continues smiling and responds in slightly broken Japanese, “Y-you a-are w-welcome.” He then leaves our suite. I turn to Ayaka and say, “That was smart of you to mention the NDA. It would be bad if he talked about some things.” Ayaka sighs and responds, “But I have no idea how to write one. I will ask the principal tomorrow, while we are travelling, if he can help us out.” This is a smart plan.

The next morning, I ordered steak with veggies and rice on the side. Sir Floof also liked the sound of that and ordered the steak. Garlic ordered the veggies and rice, and we made sure to request a larger quantity for him, like always. I like how Deonte takes time for the presentation for Sir Floof and Garlic, too. Such attention to detail. Every time he serves us, the more confident I am that I want him to cook for me more regularly. The steak I ordered was so juicy and tender. The chef even cut it into bite-sized pieces for both Sir Floof and me, and drizzled steak sauce in a very elegant manner around the plates. As we eat, Ayaka stares at me as I moan with each bite, while she eats the shrimp fried rice she ordered. Deonte smiled warmly as we ate and took our dishes when we were done.

As he left, the principal held the door open to help him carry the platter of dirty dishes back to the kitchen. He announces his presence as the door shuts, speaking in an elegantly elevated voice: “Knock, knock, children.” Ayaka, reaching over to grab my hand, says, “Come on in, sir.” She gently squeezes my hand and looks at me like she is ready to pounce, those beautiful purple eyes filled with desire. I blush furiously. The principal enters and says, “Just give me a moment to put my headphones in, and I will be ready.” He puts his headphones on as we relocate from where we were eating. He sits outside the bedroom door, and Ayaka performs the ritual with me, and we teleport outside of Miss Delia’s house.

We arrive and make ourselves decent while the principal removes his headphones, just in case. Mr. Mime answers the door excitedly, remembering the energy of my quirk, and motions to wait for one moment, and comes back with Miss Delia. She looks down at the principal and asks, “What kind of Pokémon is that? I have never seen one before.” Ayaka bursts out laughing, and the principal responds, “I am by no means a Pokémon. I am Principal Nezu. Principal at the high school these girls attend. I am ever so thankful for you taking care of my students during their time of need.” He bows his head elegantly, and Miss Delia looks like she regrets her words and says, “I am so sorry. I hope my words didn’t offend you in any way.”

He waves his hand elegantly with a slight smile on his face. “Make me a cup of tea, and I will call it even.” Miss Delia smiles, “Certainly, come right in.” She asks as she shows us to the living room sofa, where we have a seat while she puts on a pot of tea, “What brings you back to Pallet Town?” Ayaka says, “We are here on holiday. Our principal here has never left our world and wanted to come here.” Principal Nezu chimes in, “From their stories, this world seemed the least terrifying.” Miss Delia let out a laugh, “I am glad to hear you say so, though this world can be terrifying sometimes as well.” I sigh as I recall that terrifying squid. It doesn’t make me shiver now, but it is still not pleasant.

Ayaka chimes in, “I can only imagine. Those Pokémon can be very scary sometimes.” Miss Delia responds, “Actually, I was referring more to people here. There are criminals who use the technology of pokéballs for human and Pokémon trafficking, amongst other things. Though you are correct about the threat of wild pokémon. That is why it is recommended that people have at least one companion to help protect them.” That is so terrible, but it gives me an idea. I ask, “Is there a place we can sell things and buy those pokéballs? They sound handy in capturing villains.” Ayaka sighs, “I can’t believe that was your takeaway there.” I raise my eyebrow. “What? I know it is terrible and all, but it gave me an idea. I had to ask before the idea left me.” Miss Delia smiles warmly and says, “North of town, there is Route 1, and it will lead you to Viridian City. It has a PokéMart. It is blue and has a sign, so you should be able to find it. Do you have anything to sell? Otherwise, I could give you some Pokedollars.”

I pull out the sketchbook with the shock-resistant earrings, and Ayaka pulls them out and says, “These earrings provide shock resistance.” Miss Delia says with her mouth open wide, “My son would love these. You see, his partner, Pikachu, is an electric type and often electrocutes him. I will buy them from you. How much are you selling them for?” I shrug, and Ayaka asks, “How about you keep them and you buy us some of those pokéballs in exchange?” Miss Delia looks a little worried, “These seem a lot more valuable than pokéballs though. Are you sure?” Principal Nezu says, “These children should be able to get more of the same, should the need ever arise. Not to mention that you took care of them while they were lost. I feel that it is a fitting exchange considering everything.”

Miss Delia brightens at his words and replies, “Then I guess I have no choice but to accept then. Mimey, would you like to join us?” Mr. Mime nods silently, and Miss Delia grabs her purse. Holding everyone, I teleport us in the direction. On this route, tall grass hides many small Pokémon. They scatter as we appear. We nearly leave the forest and see sunlight ahead, but a large, panther-like cat interrupts us. It’s a pale tan, almost white, and bears a red jewel on its forehead. Sir Floof and Garlic emerge, seeming to converse with this Pokémon, which Miss Delia identifies as a Persian. Principal Nezu, admiring, says, “That Pokémon is quite majestic and strong. I would rather not hurt something so elegant if we could help it, children.”

Garlic taps Ayaka and points to her ear. Ayaka transforms into her octopus form to understand what the Pokémon are saying. She says after several moments of listening, “The Persian appreciates the compliment, sir. She says she likes you and wants to be your companion. Though she says he wants to test your strength.” Principal Nezu says, “I would like to be your companion as well, though I would much prefer to avoid violence if at all possible.” Ayaka translates and says, “She just wants to make sure her companion is not weak.” Principal Nezu then steps in front of us, loosens his tie, and rolls up his sleeves. I hold onto his cute blazer as I blush at the cuteness that is our principal, and he says, “Very well. If it can’t be avoided, I will take you up on your challenge, majestic one.”

The principal then takes up a fighting stance that I wouldn’t have expected from him. His quirk isn’t really suited for one-on-one fighting like this. Though we can help him if he needs it. The Persian strikes and tries to slash the principal, but the principal uses Armament Haki to block and protect his suit. He uses his free hand, not blocking the slash, and punches the Persian in the chest with an armament punch, chakra-enhanced, which propels the Persian back and into a tree. I was apparently worried about the principal for nothing. I teleport quickly to her to make sure that she is alright. I stroke her fur and ask, “Hey, are you alright?” The Persian stirs and sits up with a wince, and Ayaka says, “She says she likes the principal and wants to be his companion.”

Miss Delia reaches into her purse and says, “This is a spare pokéball I carry in case of emergencies. You can have it, Nezu.” She bends down and passes him the pokéball. Principal Nezu approaches the hurt Persian and asks her, “We live in a world far from this one, and you may not be able to return. Is that alright with you?” Ayaka continues to translate, “She says that sounds perfect. She seems rather bored with this forest.” Principal Nezu smiles elegantly and says, “If you are to be my companion, you will need a name. How do you feel about Jewel? It feels befitting of your elegance and matches the beautiful red gem in your forehead.” Jewel stands up, and her head bonks the principal affectionately, which I understand as her approval of the name. It is really adorable, because Jewel is taller than the principal by a few inches, and she makes him stagger a little. Principal Nezu asks, “So, how does this ball thing here work?” He says while holding it to Jewel and jumps when she goes into the pokéball in surprise. Ayaka says, while giggling, “Like that.” Miss Delia says in a worried tone, “Before we buy the pokéballs, let us heal Jewel here at the Pokémon Center.”

We arrive at this Pokémon Center, and there is a lady with pink hair in front of the counter with a flashlight, examining a large bird’s eyes. She pats its feathery head, “Your Pidgeotto seems to be in good health. Just make sure you are feeding her a well-balanced diet and lots of love.” The bird’s partner smiles, pets the Pidgeotto, and asks her, “Do you want to go get something to eat?” The Pidgeotto nods and chirps happily as he goes back into his ball while the dude leaves the Pokémon Center.

The Nurse turns to us and says, “Welcome to the Viridian City Pokémon Center. Would you like your Pokémon healed today?” Principal Nezu nods and pulls out Jewel’s pokéball and he says, “My new companion, Jewel, needs to be healed, if it isn’t too much trouble.” She takes Jewel on a stretcher to the back. After about 10 minutes, she returns with Jewel, takes her to Principal Nezu, and says, “Your Persian is now all healthy and ready to go.” She looks so curious, and she asks, coming around to the front of the counter and squatting down in front of the principal, “I am sorry if this is rude, but are you a new breed of Pokémon?” Principal Nezu laughs and says, “Where we are from, there are people who don’t appear human that we call heteromorphs, and I am one of those. We are sentient beings just like humans and are capable of advanced thought processes and speech as well.”

The nurse shakes his hand with a warm smile on her face, “Well, it was very nice to meet you, sir. Thank you for clarifying and quelling my curiosity. I am Nurse Joy. What is your name?” He responds with a slight respectful bow, “Nezu, it is a pleasure to meet you, Nurse Joy.” Someone comes in, panicking, while carrying a pink Pokémon that appears to be poisoned, and runs to Nurse Joy. We leave her to tend to the hurt Pokémon, since that is obviously more important than idle chitchat. Miss Delia says worriedly, “I hope that Jigglypuff is alright. Fairy types don’t handle poison that well. Learned that with experience with Mimey here.” She squeezes Mr. Mime’s shoulder lovingly.

We walk next door to where the PokeMart is, and we go up to the cashier, and Miss Delia pulls out her wallet and says, “Can I get 50 pokéballs please?” Ayaka asks with a shocked face, “Isn’t that too many? How would we carry that many?” Miss Delia shakes her head, “It is an easy feat with one of these bags here. Hey, could I buy one of these bags as well?” The shopkeeper nods and puts all of the pokéballs in the bag. I gasp seeing all of that fit in there. I say, “That bag is like a treasure.” Miss Delia smiles in amusement at our reactions to something I take to be average in this world, “I personally don’t think it is anywhere near enough to be anywhere close to equivalent in value to what you gave me. You can use some to get more companions here. Didn’t you say that Sekai can’t swim? You could catch her a water-type Pokémon that could save her if she falls in water.” Ayaka gasps, “I love that idea! I would feel so much more at peace knowing that she would always be safe around water.” Sir Floof comes out and chirps in agreement.

I smirk as I bend down to pet Sir Floof, “Ok, then. I guess it is settled. We are going to get another friend while we are here.” I turned to the principal in a panic in my sudden realization, “Shit, sorry. We are here for your holiday, and we have taken over.” He chuckles, “That is fine, children. I can relax while you do that and spend some time with my new companion. If it is alright with Miss Delia here, I can enjoy another cup of tea to relax and enjoy the outside air of this world.” Miss Delia says while motioning us to follow her outside the shop, “That is fine with me. I can whip up something for Jewel as well with lots of meat that Persians like.” Principal Nezu says, bowing respectfully, “Thank you for your hospitality, Delia.”

I teleport them back to Miss Delia’s house, where Professor Oak was waiting for Miss Delia’s return, and he had the same reaction to Principal Nezu as Miss Delia and Nurse Joy. We left them before the Professor could get too carried away, so we could go looking for a water Pokémon by the water. We remember where it was from our initial visit here, retracing Sir Floof’s steps until we return to the shore we washed up on. Ayaka says as she removes her clothes, “Let me take a swim with my octopus form to see what all is around here and talk with the local Pokémon.” I am worried because I remember that big squid, and Ayaka sees my worry and wiggles her earrings, “I got these beautiful earrings that make me swim fast, so I will be alright, Kai-chan.”

She kisses me, then transforms into her octopus form and is gone for a while. After a while, she returns with a large yellow thing with a bill and flippers while holding its head. She says, “Most of the Pokémon near here were not interested in what I had to say, except this one. She apparently has a really bad headache. I told her that we know a place where they heal Pokémon like her, so I thought we could take her.” I squat down and pet the Pokémon, “Will it scare you if I teleport us to get there faster?” Ayaka translates while she is still an octopus, “She says that she will probably need to close her eyes so her headache doesn’t become worse.” I nod and tell her, “Ok, I will let you know before I do anything so you can close your eyes.”

Ayaka changes back into her human form and puts her clothes back on. I warn the Pokémon that we are about to teleport, and she closes her eyes. I teleport us quickly back to Viridian City and go straight to the Pokémon Center. Nurse Joy sees us and smiles, “You brought a Psyduck. Is it in need of healing?” Ayaka nods and says, “She says that she has a headache, and I remember you healing the Pokémon, and thought you could help.” Nurse Joy squats down and pets the Psyduck and says, “As much as I would like to help, Psyducks naturally get headaches because they have psychic abilities. When their headaches get too bad, their psychic abilities lose control and get 10x stronger, and Psyducks usually forget they used psychic abilities because of the trauma of the headache.”

I squat down and hug the Psyduck. I ask her, “We live far away with access to other technology that may be able to help those headaches. Would you like to join us?” Ayaka joins in, “We could use your power since my beloved here can’t swim. It would set my heart at ease if you would come with us and be her friend.” She turns her head into an octopus head, which makes everyone gasp in here, so she can talk with her, and she turns back to her human head almost immediately after hearing her verbally confirm, “We are going to take such good care of you…. Now you need a name….” She puts her finger up, “Squash! You look just like butternut squash, and I think it is cute. What do you think, Kai-chan?” I stop hugging Squash, pet her, and say, “It is really cute.” Sir Floof and Garlic come out and introduce themselves while Squash sways with a headache.

I tell Ayaka, “I think the first thing we need to get her is noise-canceling headphones.” Nurse Joy’s jaw dropped, “You guys have such a thing where you are from?” Shit. I probably should have whispered that. It turns out, she wasn’t that curious about where we were from, just whether or not we could bring a pair back so they could study it as a method of relieving Psyduck headaches here in this world. Ayaka says, “We can do that. It probably won’t be today, so maybe tomorrow or the next day.” Nurse Joy asks, “But I thought you said you are from far away?” I teleport myself right by Ayaka, and Ayaka tells her about my ability, and Nurse Joy says with a smile, “Wow, you are like a Pokémon yourselves.”
