The waitress returned with Noah’s coffee, and they both waited until she left before he continued.

"We also need to talk about your habit of entering my house without telling me."

Luna raised her gaze slightly.

"We’ve already talked about that."

"Yes."

"And I said I’d try to stop doing it."

Noah nodded.

"I remember."

Luna seemed satisfied until he continued.

"But now I need you to stop doing it."

She blinked.

"..."

"Not try to stop, but actually stop."

Luna remained silent as Noah took a small sip of coffee before setting his cup down on the table.

"You can’t enter my room or stay invisible inside my house without me knowing."

"But I’ve never hurt you."

"I know."

"And I haven’t stolen anything either."

"Luna."

"Or gone through your things."

Noah looked at her, prompting her to pause briefly.

"...Almost never."

"I don’t want to know what that means."

Luna looked away, and Noah took a deep breath.

"Listen, I’m not saying you can’t come see me."

She looked at him again.

"You can visit me whenever you want, as long as you let me know beforehand and I’m available."

"Even if your mothers are home?"

"Yes."

"And if I want to hug you?"

"You can do that when it’s appropriate."

"And kiss you?"

Noah smiled slightly.

"That too."

Luna seemed to relax.

"Then I don’t see the problem."

"The problem is that you need to respect my privacy."

"..."

"And my family’s privacy."

Luna slowly lowered her gaze, and Noah continued.

"Emma, Sarah, and Ava live with me, so they have a right to know who’s entering our house."

"But your family already knows me."

"That doesn’t mean you can enter without permission."

"..."

"Luna, imagine if I could turn invisible and enter your house whenever I wanted."

She looked at him before immediately answering.

"I wouldn’t mind."

Noah froze.

"..."

Luna continued.

"You could even stay the night."

"That’s not what I..."

"I’d make you breakfast."

"Luna."

"And we could go to high school together."

Noah closed his eyes.

’I picked the worst possible example.’

She tilted her head slightly.

"Why did you go quiet?"

"Never mind."

"Noah."

"Yes?"

"If you want a key to my house, I can give you one."

"..."

Noah stared at her for several seconds before sighing.

"Forget the example."

"Okay."

Luna picked up her teacup, and although her expression remained calm, Noah noticed that she was a little upset.

He didn’t need to know her thoughts to understand that.

"Are you upset?"

Luna remained silent before answering.

"A little."

"I appreciate your honesty."

"I thought you liked it when I came to see you."

"I like seeing you, Luna."

"But not like that."

"Exactly."

She lowered her gaze to her cup and remained silent for several seconds, but eventually spoke.

"When I turned invisible..."

Noah waited.

"I heard part of the conversation."

"I figured."

"Ayane seemed like she was about to confess her feelings."

"I figured that too."

Luna tightened her fingers slightly around her cup.

"And I didn’t like it."

Noah nodded.

"I know."

"I thought that if I didn’t do something, she’d end up becoming another one of your girlfriends."

"..."

"So I intervened."

Noah remained silent, and Luna continued.

"I’m not proud of interrupting your conversation."

He looked at her.

"But?"

She looked away.

"I don’t regret kissing you."

Noah smiled slightly.

"The kiss isn’t the problem."

"I know."

Luna took a sip of tea before setting her cup down on the table.

"I suppose..."

She paused.

"I don’t like thinking that I might lose my place."

Noah frowned slightly.

"Your place?"

Luna nodded.

"As your girlfriend."

"..."

"Before, I had to keep our relationship a secret, but then we started sharing our time with the others."

Noah listened attentively.

"And even though I accepted that situation, sometimes I still think I should do something to remind you that I’m here too."

Noah then realized something he hadn’t considered, which was that Luna wasn’t simply trying to stop Ayane from getting closer to him.

She was also afraid of losing her importance in a relationship that had become much more complicated than either of them had imagined.

"Luna."

She raised her gaze.

"You don’t need to do that."

"..."

"You don’t have to constantly compete with the others to prove that you’re my girlfriend."

Luna remained silent, and Noah continued.

"Just because I spend time with Yume, Iris, Aria, or Ren doesn’t mean I’m going to forget about you."

"I know."

"And just because I talk to Ayane doesn’t mean I’m going to stop loving you."

Luna slowly lowered her eyes.

"I understand."

Noah reached a hand across the table, and Luna looked at it before placing hers on top, allowing him to intertwine their fingers.

"I don’t want you to feel like you need to keep an eye on me to feel at ease."

Luna remained silent before finally nodding.

"Okay."

Noah smiled.

"Thank you."

She raised an eyebrow slightly.

"But I want to ask you something."

"What is it?"

"If any girl tries to take advantage of you, I want you to tell me."

Noah nodded.

"That’s reasonable."

"And if someone tries to kidnap you..."

"I’ll let you know immediately."

"Even if she’s a beautiful girl?"

Noah blinked.

"...Especially if she’s trying to kidnap me."

Luna seemed satisfied.

"Good."

Noah let out a small laugh, and for the first time since they’d arrived, they both seemed completely relaxed.

After finishing their drinks, Noah remembered that he still had another matter to address.

"By the way, Luna."

"Yes?"

"There’s something else I wanted to tell you."

She looked at him.

"About Ayane?"

Noah nodded.

"Yes."

Luna remained still.

"What is it?"

"She texted me this morning."

"..."

"She asked if we could talk again."

Luna lowered her gaze slightly.

"I understand."

"I told her yes."

There was a brief silence, and Luna held her cup with both hands.

"When?"

"We haven’t agreed on a date yet."

"I see."

Noah waited, and Luna’s expression remained calm, but her fingers had tightened slightly around the cup.

"Does it bother you?"

Luna took a few seconds to answer.

"...Yes."

Noah nodded.

"I appreciate you telling me."

"But..."

She took a deep breath.

"I’m not going to stop you."

It seemed Luna was beginning to understand Noah’s request.
