They arrived at the movie theater several minutes before the show began.

Stella took care of picking up the tickets she had reserved while Noah bought some drinks and something to eat.

Afterward they entered the theater, where there were few people, so that allowed them to find their seats without difficulty.

Stella sat next to Noah, who placed the drinks in the cup holders and, while they waited, watched the screen that was still showing advertisements.

Noah looked at Stella.

"By the way, what’s the movie actually about?"

She adjusted her jacket.

"About a young girl who falls in love with a classmate."

Noah nodded.

"And then?"

"She tries to get him to fall in love with her."

"A pretty normal romantic story."

"Seems that way."

Stella smiled.

"I didn’t want to look into it too much to avoid spoilers."

"I understand."

Shortly after, the lights went out and the movie began.

The first scene showed a classroom, where a female student was discreetly watching a boy sitting near a window.

The protagonist seemed quite shy, and every time she tried to talk to him, she ended up changing her mind.

Noah watched the screen.

’Pretty typical.’

During the following minutes, the movie showed how both students began to get to know each other.

First through a school activity, then during breaks, and later the protagonist found small excuses to spend time with him.

The boy was reserved and didn’t seem to have many friends.

He also didn’t show much interest in romantic relationships, but he was kind to her.

He helped her with homework, listened to her when she had problems, and sometimes walked her to the station.

Noah felt a strange sensation and slightly furrowed his brow.

’How weird.’

Some of those scenes felt nostalgic to him, but not because he remembered having seen the movie, it was something else.

The conversations, the way the protagonist sought to get closer, the boy’s distant attitude.

Noah couldn’t identify the reason while Stella was focused on the screen, so he decided to keep watching.

The story advanced.

The protagonist began gathering the courage to confess her feelings.

First she wrote a letter, but then she decided she preferred to tell him in person, and the confession scene took place on a quiet afternoon.

They were alone in a park.

The girl nervously clutched her bag while the boy waited in front of her and, finally, she spoke.

"I like you."

Noah watched the screen.

The protagonist continued explaining how much she enjoyed spending time with him and then asked if he wanted to be her boyfriend.

The boy remained silent for several seconds and at first thought it was a joke, but upon seeing that it was real, he finally accepted.

The protagonist began to cry with happiness, at which Stella smiled.

"What a lovely scene."

Noah nodded.

"Yeah."

But something was bothering him.

’Why do I feel like I already know this?’

The movie continued showing the relationship.

They started going out after class, ate together, visited bookstores, went to the movies, and exchanged messages late into the night.

The protagonist was growing happier and happier while the boy also seemed to start enjoying that relationship.

Noah watched the scenes without speaking and, for some reason, the nostalgia he had felt at the beginning began to increase.

’This...’

One scene showed the protagonist handing the boy a small gift, which he received with surprise and then smiled.

Noah felt a slight pressure in his chest and furrowed his brow.

’What’s wrong with me?’

He tried to settle better into his seat and Stella glanced at him briefly.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah."

"You sure?"

"I’m fine."

She returned to watching the movie and Noah did too.

The story continued for several minutes, but then something unexpected happened.

The boy stopped answering his girlfriend’s messages, so at first the protagonist thought he was busy.

Then she believed he had family problems and tried to call him, but he didn’t answer, so she looked for him during breaks and he avoided her.

When she tried to approach him after class, the boy simply left, so the protagonist didn’t understand anything.

Noah remained motionless.

’What...?’

In the movie, the girl began searching for an explanation.

She asked her classmates, tried to talk to the boy’s friends, and even waited for him in front of his classroom, but nothing worked.

He continued avoiding her.

Noah began to feel unwell and it wasn’t a reaction he could easily explain, but he felt a growing discomfort.

Besides, part of that situation felt far too familiar.

’This is similar to...’

He stopped and remembered his previous life.

The relationship he had had before dying, the girl who had confessed to him, the months they had spent together, and the day he discovered...

Noah lowered his gaze slightly.

’It must be because of that.’

It made sense.

That movie reminded him of an unpleasant experience from his past and nothing more.

He tried to convince himself that that was the explanation, but there was something that didn’t fit.

Noah looked back at the screen.

The protagonist was crying in her room and had several unanswered messages, all directed at the same boy.

Stella remained focused and Noah tried to calm himself.

’It’s just a movie.’

The story advanced.

Finally, the protagonist received the news that her father had gotten a new job and the family would have to move to another city in a week.

The young girl was completely surprised and tried to convince her parents to let her stay, but it didn’t work.

The decision had already been made.

Noah watched as the protagonist looked at her phone and then began writing to the boy again.

This time she wasn’t trying to convince him to get back together with her, she just wanted to talk.

She wanted to know what had happened and, above all, she wanted to say goodbye before leaving.

The following minutes showed several failed attempts until finally, after several conversations with a mutual classmate, the boy agreed to meet with her.

The place would be a plaza near the station and the meeting was set for that afternoon.

Noah stayed completely still.

’A plaza...’

He felt that pressure in his chest again, but this time more intense, and he didn’t understand why.

Stella looked at him.

"Noah..."

He didn’t answer immediately.

"Noah."

"Yeah?"

"You’re very pale."

Noah tried to smile.

"I’m fine."

Stella slightly furrowed her brow.

"It doesn’t look like it."

"The movie just impressed me a little."

She looked back at the screen.

"Yeah, it’s getting sad."

Noah nodded, but he knew it wasn’t only that.

Something was happening.

On the screen, the protagonist had begun preparing for the meeting, so she changed clothes several times.

She checked the address, put away her phone, and then left the house.

There was little time left before the agreed hour, but during the trip the first inconvenience occurred.

The transportation she planned to take was delayed.

The protagonist checked the clock and tried to find another route, so she finally decided to walk to a nearby station, but upon arriving she discovered there were problems with that service as well.

The girl began to get nervous, so she looked at her phone again and she still had time.

Noah breathed slowly.

’Why am I so nervous?’

The protagonist decided to continue on foot and the movie showed her advancing through several streets.

At first she walked normally, but then she began to speed up, while also checking the clock constantly and, finally, she received a message.

It was from the boy.

[I’m at the plaza.]

The protagonist stopped and her eyes filled with tears.

Then she replied.

[I’m almost there.]

Noah felt a sudden pain in his head and closed his eyes for a second.

’What...?’

When he opened them again, the movie was still advancing and the protagonist was running down a busy street.

She was very close to the plaza and only a few minutes remained.

Noah started breathing with difficulty, which Stella noticed.

"Noah?"

He didn’t answer.

The protagonist reached an intersection, quickly checked her phone, and then looked up.

The pedestrian signal had changed, but she seemed too worried about arriving on time, so she started running again.

Noah felt that something strange was happening with his memories.

For an instant he stopped seeing the screen and saw a girl who was the same one from the dream, whose face he couldn’t recognize, but this time he heard a voice.

"Wait!"

Noah opened his eyes wide.

’What?’

The image disappeared and he was looking at the movie again.

The protagonist was about to cross the street where vehicles were circulating, but she didn’t look both ways, she simply kept running.

Noah felt a much more intense pain and brought a hand to his head.

’No...’

An image appeared in his mind of him extending a hand toward someone.

"Don’t go!"

Noah stopped breathing for an instant.

’Who...?’

On the screen, the protagonist took another step toward the street.

Noah tried to stand up, but his body didn’t respond as he expected and Stella turned immediately.

"Noah?"

He barely managed to look at her and his vision began to lose clarity.

’What’s happening?’

He tried to say something, but he couldn’t and the sound of the movie became distant.

The last image he managed to distinguish was the protagonist running toward the street without looking and then he remembered his own tears.

’Who was that girl...?’

"Noah."

He heard Stella’s worried voice.

"Noah!"

His body lost strength, his head tilted to the side, and Stella quickly extended her hands to hold him.

"Noah, answer me!"

But Noah could no longer hear her because he had lost consciousness.
