The following seconds were very tense, but Noah didn’t press Yume, since she needed to think about the situation calmly.

Several seconds passed, and then almost a minute, until Yume finally spoke.

"There’s something I want."

Noah raised his gaze.

"What?"

Yume looked embarrassed, but also determined to say it.

"If I accept, I..."

Luna waited for what Yume was going to say next.

"I’m going to be first."

Noah furrowed his brow, confused by those words.

"First in what?"

Yume turned red at what she was about to say.

"In being your wife."

Noah opened his eyes a little while Luna remained serious at that condition.

Yume continued.

"If we ever get married someday, I want to be the first."

Noah didn’t respond this time, but she went on.

"And I also want to be the first to start a family with you."

Now Noah understood completely, and Yume looked away.

"I want your first child to be mine."

Noah remained completely motionless, while Luna looked at Yume and then at Noah, who took several seconds to respond.

Yume looked at him.

"It’s my condition."

Noah brought a hand to the back of his neck.

Yume crossed her arms.

Luna spoke.

Noah looked at her.

Yume also seemed surprised, and Luna continued.

"You were with Noah before me, so if that helps you accept the relationship, I have no problem."

Yume observed her for a few seconds.

"Are you serious?"

"Yes."

Yume looked at Noah again.

"And you, Noah?"

Noah thought.

It was a condition about a future that was still very far away, but after losing the bet with the goddess, thinking about starting families with the magical girls was no longer exactly an idea he could ignore forever.

’I didn’t think this conversation would go this far.’

Noah breathed.

"Alright."

Yume opened her eyes slightly.

"You accept?"

"Yes, I accept."

Yume remained silent and then pointed at Luna.

"That doesn’t mean I like her."

"Yeah, it’s noticeable."

"And I’m still mad at you both."

"I know."

"I’m not going to pretend everything is fine tomorrow."

"I don’t expect that."

Yume continued.

"And if you do something behind my back again..."

Noah responded immediately.

"Relax, we won’t."

Luna also affirmed it.

"Agreed."

Yume observed them both and then slowly let out air.

"Then..."

Noah waited, and Yume pressed her lips a little before responding.

"I’ll try."

Noah opened his eyes and Luna also reacted.

"Does that mean...?"

Noah asked, to which Yume looked at him.

"Yes, that’s right."

Noah stayed completely still.

"You accept Luna?"

"Don’t use that phrase like it’s an adoption."

"Sorry."

Yume looked at Luna.

"I’m going to accept that she also goes out with you."

Luna kept silent and Yume raised a finger.

"But I have my conditions."

"That you be the first wife?"

Luna responded.

"Yes."

"And that you have his first child?"

"Exactly."

Luna nodded.

"Understood, I’ll respect your conditions."

Yume looked at her with suspicion.

"You’re too calm."

"It’s what I wanted."

"That annoys me."

"Sorry."

Yume furrowed her brow, so Luna smiled slightly and Noah quickly placed himself between them.

"Please, don’t start again."

Yume looked away while Luna did the same, and Noah felt he could breathe with a bit more calm.

He had expected shouts, that Yume would end the relationship, that Luna would refuse to back down, but instead, they had managed to reach an agreement.

It wasn’t perfect, since Yume was still angry, Luna was still competitive, and Noah would still have to regain the trust he had damaged, but the secret was over.

Noah no longer had to pretend that Luna was just a friend.

Yume looked at him again.

"There’s something else I want to say."

Noah felt concern.

"What?"

"This doesn’t mean you can start accepting any girl."

Noah blinked, Luna looked at him, and Yume continued.

"I’m accepting Luna because it already happened and because..."

She looked at Luna.

"...I trust her more than I’d like to admit."

Luna raised her eyebrows slightly, but before Luna could say anything, Yume turned back to Noah.

"But I don’t want five new girlfriends to appear tomorrow."

Noah remembered Iris, then Ren, and then Aria, so he stayed silent, and that made Yume narrow her eyes.

"Why did you go quiet?"

"It wasn’t for anything."

"Noah."

"There aren’t five."

Yume opened her eyes.

"What does that mean!?"

Luna looked at Noah and he raised both hands.

"I didn’t say there are others!"

Yume pointed at his face.

"Your expression gives you away!"

"N-No...?"

"Yes, and that answer confirms it."

Luna spoke calmly.

"Ren confessed to him."

Yume turned toward her while Noah opened his eyes wide in surprise.

"Luna?"

"What?"

"How do you know that?"

"I... deduced it..."

’Don’t tell me she was spying on me.’

Yume turned back to Noah.

"WITH REN TOO!?"

Noah closed his eyes.

’This lasted less than a minute.’

The conversation that was supposed to resolve one of his biggest problems had just created another.

Even so, there was an important difference, since now Yume had accepted sharing her relationship with Luna.

That meant Noah no longer had to keep a second relationship secret, and although Yume still didn’t seem to understand all the consequences of her decision, Noah did understand something.

For the first time he had explicit permission to consider a relationship with more than one girl.

That said, it didn’t mean he could accept anyone without talking about it, and it also didn’t mean Yume had abandoned her jealousy, but the main barrier had disappeared.

Noah looked at Yume arguing with Luna about how she had discovered the thing with Ren and then let out a sigh.

’This is going to get a lot more complicated from now on.’

And, considering Iris, Ren, and Aria, probably much sooner than he expected.
