Chapter 835: To The Dungeon From The Streets

Chapter 835: To The Dungeon From The Streets

[Sanctuary city, inside a modest inn room, Luca’s POV.]

“Have you guys thought this through?” asked Luca.

“Yes,” Ely said, “I have read it again and again – it’s a very real possibility that we can do this. Everyone wants the dungeon’s relics and monster materials; no one has yet started to pay attention to the simple things one can get by simply entering the dungeons.”

“But can we really make potions like the Lord Keeper?” Luca asked with a slight hesitation.

“It’s not a potion. It’s something that Sanctum uses to make potions. Like those pieces of runic machines that other runesmiths create and give to Sanctum for making it complete.” Ely explained.

Luca barely understood it, but if Ely said it was possible, then it had to be.

“At least we can try, it’s not like we have to do something really dangerous or pay a lot for it,” Riky said from the side, wearing his armor pieces.

They had bought used armor for today. Luca had a day off from the factory. Ely had a plan to use one of the dungeons to make some potion thing. Luca and Riky were just going to follow her orders. Even though it was just going to be floor one of any dungeon, to them, it was still going to be slightly challenging.

But if truth be told, Luca really felt excited at the idea of fighting monsters and maybe leveling up a little. The factory had already helped him level slightly, and he had used the money to pursue the blacksmith projects of his own, but killing monsters was still the best and fastest way to do this. He had already learned all the blacksmith skills necessary – his progress had stagnated for years.

It had been ten days since the dungeons had been opened to the public. And as the Lord Keeper had said, there was no discrimination at all. One just needed to have a full team. But there were five-member party dungeons, ten members, twenty-five, and increasing. There were even a hundred people dungeons, those were really famous, but it wasn’t easy at all.

The library channel receiver containing the knowledge of these dungeons had been flown off the shelves in just two weeks. When people realized how much information the sanctum had just given them for free after entering the dungeons, everyone started to plan their next dungeon diving according to the information learned.

The markets were flooding with dungeon items. Food, especially meat of many kinds, was available at very low cost. It wasn’t the best, but Luca was sure food wouldn’t be a problem as long as the Sanctuary kept the dungeons open.

The weapons and many types of dungeon relics were also bought and sold all day and night. The night lamps had changed the entire city’s schedule. People entered dungeons at night or in the day and then sold things or enjoyed themselves for days after coming back.

The land on the island of New Dawn was filled with shops, taverns, and inns of all kinds.

Luca, Ely, and Riky used the waygate to arrive in the New Dawn. The streets were always full of people here. Shopkeepers shouting, food sizzling. Only walking here filled a person with a sense of adventure.

Luca had come to like that word recently. Sanctum did not call them pathfinders, mundanes, commoners, or challengers when they went to enter the dungeons. They called everyone an adventurer. No matter if a person was noble, commoner, pathfinder, or mundane. To the Sanctum Dungeons Management System, they were all equal. No one had a special entry or anything.

Luca felt pride taking it all with his own real eyes. He had only heard stories till today from his coworkers, Ely and Riky. He was busy with work all week, but today he was finally going to enter the first dungeon of his life, and even that with his friends.

They met up with two people. An old acquaintance from the streets of sanctuary. Having a trusted companion was a must for the dungeon dive. Many accidents had already happened in these two weeks, and Sanctum did not stop warning people enough that they shouldn’t just join any party. Creating a party they could trust was a must.

It was their first time, though, and these two were people they knew from before. They weren’t exactly fighting type either, same as them – finding a good party was hard for them.

The dungeon Ely had chosen to enter for them was called Breezefield Warrens. A 25-level dungeon. All three of them had seen its projection before. Rolling green hills dotted with wildflowers and tall grass. Peaceful plains, gentle wind. All 25 floors were just vast green meadows with different goblin monsters. It was heavily focused on goblins. Even this first floor had some clumsy ones.

Luca was confident he could take them, but he was still hoping to catch them from afar before they sneak up on them.

Even though they were prepared mentally, when finally the five entered the dungeon and their eyes adjusted to the bright, beautiful hidden world, they could not help but become speechless. This was the lowest level of the dungeon, and even this looked like heaven to their eyes.

They slowly but surely crossed the whole floor one of the Breezefield Warrens’ dungeon, reaching the keypoint successfully. Ely and Riky gathered a lot of healthy glimmergrass and many other herbs and unique plants with mana in them. Five full spatial storage devices of it.

In between, a few goblins waddled near them, and they all made quick work of them. Earning some monster material as well.

It was the most memorable experience Luca had since the time he found Ely and Riky waiting for him at his hut. The factory work was good, but this… he felt like this he was supposed to do.

Now they had to see if making potion thing was going to work out, or they would have to think of some other way to make money after all. Luca, however, had some other thoughts going on in his mind after the unique experience.

Could he just do this till he leveled up?
