The Rule-Breaker of the Doomsday Game

Chapter 499: Seven Kills Disciples, a Worldwide Calamity

  • Next Chapter

“The Blood Sea Body is truly formidable.”

“Although it hasn’t reached the point of ‘rebirth from a single drop of blood’ at full mastery, regenerating severed limbs is a trivial matter for it.”

“Even if their heads are cut off or their hearts are pierced, they can grow them back.” Zuo Fan used the Innate Li Fire Sword Technique to incinerate a Seven Kills Disciple before him, finally killing the man for good.

A high-ranking member of Azure Flame Peak beside him added, “If that were all, they wouldn’t be so frightening. The truly terrifying thing is that these Seven Kills Disciples have no fear of death.”

“Many Seven Kills Disciples have already cultivated the True Slaughter Intent. They become incredibly vicious in battle, willing to pay any price to kill their enemies.”

“Because of this, the major sects have suffered considerable losses while trying to eliminate them.”

Zuo Fan heard this but didn’t respond, his gaze shifting to the distance.

“Be careful. A very powerful Seven Kills Disciple is approaching.”

The high-ranking member of Azure Flame Peak was stunned. This wasn’t their first time hunting Seven Kills Disciples, but it was the first time he had ever heard Zuo Fan use the word “powerful” to describe one.

“The gushing of blood and the cracking of bone are the finest accompaniments to slaughter.”

“It is never wrong to kill a disciple of slaughter, but if you do, you must celebrate the glory of slaughter you have proclaimed.”

“It is always right to take trophies from the fallen. Whosoever adorns their body with the bones of their enemies and drinks deep of their foes’ blood shall comprehend the grace of slaughter.”

“Mercy is an excuse for the weak. Spare no prey, or you will become slaughter’s prey.”

A frenzied, fanatical voice drifted over. The speaker was a madman, the most terrifying of all the Seven Kills Disciples.

He was dressed in tattered rags, like a beggar, and adorned with various bones. The killing intent emanating from him was enough to make one’s scalp tingle.

“Get everyone away from here. It’s the Mad Beggar. He’s not easy to deal with,” Zuo Fan said coldly.

This was his first time meeting the Mad Beggar, but he had heard the stories.

Just as his moniker suggested, he had once been a crazed beggar who simply begged for food, living one day at a time.

Even when people bullied him, his unhinged mind meant it was all just water under the bridge.

That was, until a charitable family who had always given him alms was massacred overnight, leaving no survivors. After that, the Mad Beggar obtained the *Blood Sea Life-taking Sutra*.

On that day, he slaughtered the entire town.

His madness was a perfect match for the *Blood Sea Life-taking Sutra*, and he even comprehended an even more insane intent of slaughter.

The Mad Beggar was also the strongest Seven Kills Disciple within the Yanghuang Sect’s territory.

Wherever he went, no one was left alive.

‘In my eyes, this man is a formidable foe. Besides me, I’m afraid only Sect Leader Xu Ziyang could kill this Mad Beggar.’

‘The other Peak Masters aren’t strong enough. They’d be killed by the Mad Beggar in three exchanges at most.’

‘I can only say that this *Blood Sea Life-taking Sutra* is simply too heaven-defying. Seven Kills Zhenren was a peerless talent, but it’s a shame he didn’t walk the righteous path.’

‘That’s what led to this great disaster.’

‘As for the root cause being injustice, I’m aware of that, but I can’t solve injustice.’

‘But if Seven Kills Zhenren hadn’t created this Spiritual Technique, then even with injustice, so many people wouldn’t have died.’

‘In the end, aren’t the ordinary people still the ones who suffer?’

“Flame Demon Form!” Without hesitation, Zuo Fan transformed into a Flame Demon. A Li Huo Giant Sword materialized in his hand, and he immediately brought it down upon the Mad Beggar.

Though the Mad Beggar was usually unhinged, he became extremely calm the moment a battle began.

His eyes were covered by a film of blood, and writhing flesh emerged on his body, forming a layer of armor-like exoskeleton.

A twisted, malevolent Life-taking Saber easily blocked Zuo Fan’s Li Huo Giant Sword.

The form of the Life-taking Saber condensed by each Seven Kills Disciple was different.

After all, they were formed from their own rage absorbing slaughter. With different rage, the resulting Life-taking Sabers were naturally different as well.

“Blood… dazzling blood… the source of life,” the Mad Beggar muttered to himself as his Life-taking Saber swung at Zuo Fan in a crazed, relentless assault.

Zuo Fan parried with his Li Huo Giant Sword, but after barely five seconds, his sword was annihilated by the opponent’s Life-taking Saber.

The thorn-like Life-taking Saber pierced through Zuo Fan’s chest.

Fortunately, he had used the Flame Demon Form and no longer possessed a physical body.

But the sensation of pain remained. The moment his chest was run through, the agony stimulated his mind.

The innate desire for slaughter that came with the Flame Demon Form instantly erupted in his head.

In that instant, Zuo Fan’s eyes could see nothing but the Mad Beggar and a surging tide of killing intent.

“Ant, you have brought me pleasure!” Zuo Fan rasped, yanking the Life-taking Saber out of his own chest.

The Li Huo Giant Sword condensed once more, and a new round of battle began.

Only this time, Zuo Fan’s consciousness was no longer in control—the will to slaughter had taken over.

The battle between the Slaughter Flame Demon and the Seven Kills Disciple had officially begun.

—————–

Mu Can strolled up the path to the Golden Cicada Sect’s main gate, his Life-taking Saber in hand, writhing as if it were alive.

All the Golden Cicada Sect disciples were killed with casual ease, their blood entirely devoured by his Seven Kills Saber.

The Golden Cicada Sect was not one of the nine major sects; among all the sects, it was considered a minor one.

Even so, in its own domain, it was a local Emperor.

But today, this local Emperor was meeting its doom.

“Mu Can, what Zhuo Qun did was indeed wrong. We can give you a proper account for it,” said Bian Ze, the Golden Cicada Sect Leader, as he stood atop the gate, looking down on Mu Can, who was butchering his way up the mountain path.

A man and a woman stood beside him.

The man was the very Golden Cicada Sect disciple who had stolen Mu Can’s fiancée, and the woman was, naturally, Mu Can’s ex-fiancée.

Mu Can paused. The Life-taking Saber flashed back into his hand and coiled around his arm.

“Is that it?” Mu Can raised an eyebrow, clearly dissatisfied.

“Not just the two of them, but their families as well. We’ll kill them all to give you your account.” Bian Ze’s expression turned ugly as he said this.

This compromise had cost the Golden Cicada Sect all its face.

But there was nothing to be done. ‘Mu Can has become a Seven Kills Disciple, cultivating the *Blood Sea Life-taking Sutra* with slaughter and blood. The killing intent he carries is enough to confirm that I am no match for him.’

‘It’s a shame I haven’t obtained the contents of the *Blood Sea Life-taking Sutra*. Otherwise, I would definitely switch to cultivating it myself.’

‘The reputation of the Seven Kills Disciples has long since spread throughout the world. Even the nine major sects have suffered considerable losses because of them.’

‘That’s enough to prove this Spiritual Technique is far superior to the Golden Cicada Sect’s.’

So he wondered if he could obtain this Spiritual Technique from Mu Can.

‘As for needing to rely on slaughter? That doesn’t matter. It’s just a different way of devouring people.’

‘Besides, if I don’t switch, how will I have the strength to resist when other Seven Kills Disciples come knocking?’

“Not enough. This is still not enough.” A bloodthirsty smile appeared on Mu Can’s face.

A bad premonition arose in Bian Ze’s heart.

The Seven Kills Disciples were extremely bloodthirsty. They cared not for beauty, nor for wealth, nor even for their own lives. They only thought of slaughter.

“Then what will it take for you to leave my Golden Cicada Sect?” Bian Ze gritted his teeth and asked.

Mu Can stroked his constantly writhing Seven Kills Saber and said mockingly, “That depends on Sect Leader Bian’s sincerity.”

‘Of course, I plan to kill everyone in the Golden Cicada Sect.’

‘But I have my reservations. I don’t care about one Sect Leader Bian, but there are a lot of them.’

‘If I attack directly, even if they can’t kill me, I’ll still get injured. My recovery is fast, but it consumes Blood Spiritual Power.’

‘So, my plan is simple. I’ll make Bian Ze lower his guard, then take him out with a surprise attack and throw the Golden Cicada Sect into chaos.’

‘Then, continuing the slaughter will be much easier.’

‘As for my ex-fiancée and that Golden Cicada Sect disciple? I stopped caring about them long ago.’

‘How could so-called feelings and humiliation possibly compare to slaughter?’

“My demands aren’t much. I just want to kill these two with my own hands. I trust Sect Leader Bian won’t refuse,” Mu Can said, slowly walking up the steps.

“Fine. As you wish.” Bian Ze suspected nothing.

Mu Can walked right up to them and used his Life-taking Saber to kill the pair, turning them into dried-up corpses.

Then, Bian Ze started to speak again, “Since your great vengeance has been…”

He was just about to tell Mu Can to leave so he could secretly follow and demand the *Blood Sea Life-taking Sutra*, but before he could even finish his sentence, Mu Can’s Life-taking Saber shot out and burrowed into his chest.

“You… you…” Bian Ze pointed a finger at Mu Can. He managed to say “you” twice but couldn’t get out any further accusations before a wave of powerlessness washed over him.

The Life-taking Saber was devouring his life force and blood, causing the Spiritual Power in his body to spiral completely out of control. He was powerless to even try to fight back.

“No need for ‘you’ anymore. Have a safe trip, Sect Leader Bian.” A bloody light burst forth from Mu Can’s body.

In an instant, Bian Ze was reduced to a dried corpse. The Life-taking Saber burst out from his chest and began hunting the other Golden Cicada Sect disciples.

These Golden Cicada Sect disciples were no match for Bian Ze, so when the Life-taking Saber struck them, they had no time for any other action, dying instantly and becoming desiccated husks.

There was one benefit to dying so quickly: it wasn’t painful at all.

“HAHAHAHA! Golden Cicada Sect, did you ever imagine this day would come?” Mu Can’s voice was tinged with madness.

He remembered how a single word from the Golden Cicada Sect could ruin a person’s life. Mu Can had wanted that kind of lofty privilege for himself.

Though he never obtained that specific privilege, it didn’t matter. He had acquired a power far greater than any privilege.

He didn’t need to rely on a sect, nor did he need the backing of a reputation. He just had to keep killing to gain enough strength.

As he watched the Golden Cicada Sect descend into chaos, the constant slaughter and blood-drinking caused his Life-taking Saber, his Blood Sea Body, and his Blood Spiritual Power to enter a new stage of growth.

‘The Golden Cicada Sect is just the beginning. Next is the Jade Thorn Sect. I hope another Seven Kills Disciple doesn’t beat me to it.’
