Chapter 440 Choosing The Passages (2)
Ji Yuan laughed it off when Yun Chi had suggested for him to be castrated.
“Haha. Don’t forget that I am a great saint. I can regenerate my little brother back. It is just a matter of time.”
Ling Feiyue gasped with great exasperation, “Ji Yuan, you are too crude. Don’t say anything like this?”
Ji Yuan laughed as he asked Xiang Li silently, “Xiang Li, am I crude?”
Xiang Li giggled as she said lovingly to him, “My Big Brother is never crude!”𝒐𝑣𝓵xt.𝔠𝒐𝓂
Fairy Anyang Xiahou almost fainted as she muttered, “He is actually very crude.”
Ji Yuan laughed, “Anyang, I am a gentleman of the sword so how can I be a crude cultivator?”
Anyang rolled her eyes, “I don’t want to argue with you. It is all Xiang Li’s fault for tricking me to follow you. It isn’t fun to follow you at all.”
Xiang Li giggled, “Anyang, be patience! Soon Ji Yuan will be doing the fun thing again. We just need to wait.”
Anyang looked a little flush as she protested feebly, “Who says that I am waiting for that kind of fun things? I am not you. You’ve tricked me.”
“But you have never closed your eyes.” Xiang Li giggled as she pointed it out.
Anyang: …
“That’s because…” She panicky argued rather weakly, “I am actually trying to correct our lord’s actions. I can’t allow him to sink into depravity and someone has to save his soul sea.”
Ji Yuan laughed, “I don’t need saving. Haha…”
Anyang hummed coldly, “That is because you’re hopeless like your other consorts have just said.”
Naturally no one knows that Ji Yuan was also talking to Xiang Li and Anyang at the same time.
Yu Jingjing reminded him, “Ji Yuan, you have two sentient spirit entities with you. Be careful that you do not corrupt them lest they will think that you are actually such an awful person.”
Ji Yuan patted his firm belly with a chuckle, “Don’t worry. They are sleeping in my soul sea now and can’t hear our conversations.”
Ling Feiyue heaved a soft sigh of relief, “That is good. Xiang Li is so innocent. Don’t you ever corrupt her.”
Ji Yuan rolled his eyes; Xiang Li is more corrupted than me. Why does everyone thinks that Xiang Li is so innocent? Is it because she is a maiden? This is gender discrimination. I’m protesting against this…
However he did not voice his protests aloud or else he knew that he would be floored by the maidens; he did not have so many hands to handle all of them at the same time.
Rather, he began to seat himself down on the ground to begin meditation.
The rest of his party did the same as well.
As Mo Bei sat on the floor to mediate, he was also muttering. “This is so unwise. We have a 50% chance of choosing the correct passage.
Ji Yuan was actually not really meditating but rather he was staring at the two passages with his back facing the other maidens so that the others would not see his expression.
He was actually thinking what Maiden Feng Minyue had said to him, “There is supposed to be only one passage but why are there two now?”
Time passed and two days later, Ji Yuan was still glued to the same spot.
This time round Mo Bei was quite irritated, “We are lucky that the other cultivators have not come this way yet but it won’t be for long. Why don’t we make a move first? We have a 50% chance of choosing the correct passage anyway. Or maybe we can even split the party. Surely one of the two groups will be able to reach the second trial and even complete it.”
But Ji Yuan simply replied, “Let’s wait a little longer.”
Mo Bei turned to the maidens in the group as he voiced his displeasure, “Can anyone of you say something?”
Yun Chi smiled coolly as she said casually, “I’m not in any hurry.”
Bai Qianfeng was smiling too, “Either am I.”
Ling Feiyue smiled gently, “I am afraid that it is pointless to ask Ji Yuan to move his butt. He won’t listen to you or us.”
Mo Bei frowned, “Is he that stubborn?”
Ling Feiyue giggled, “That is because you have never been in the same trial as Ji Yuan in the past and you don’t know him that well. Unless he can crack the trial, he simply won’t move his butt. He is really an old goat.”
This time round Ji Yuan had turned his head around as he frowned, “I am an old goat?!”
Little Princess smiled mesmerizing; she was ever as charming as ever. “An old goat that likes to chew on tender grasses.”
The tender grasses were of course referring to the maidens.
Ji Yuan chuckled, “I am not that old. Some of you here are less tender than me and even older than me. Old Cows wanting to eat tender meat.”
All the maidens: …
“Shut up Ji Yuan!”
“What did you just say Ji Yuan?!”
“I dare you to repeat yourself Ji Yuan!”
Immediately all the maidens have rushed forward to give Ji Yuan several kicks and slaps, including the usually composed Yun Chi.
Just as everyone was kicking Ji Yuan, the entire hallway seemed to be struck by an earthquake and was shaking violently now.
Everyone was startled while Ji Yuan had stood up as he pointed at the two passages.
The two passages seemed to be moving and finally it was merged into one passage.
This startled everyone who had witnessed it.
Ji Yuan rubbed his chin as he said coolly, “Just as I’ve thought. Someone has used their profound power to create an illusion. Neither one of the passages are the real one. This passage is actually the real one.”
Ling Feiyue gasped as she blinked her eyes, “Ji Yuan, how did you know this?”
Ji Yuan answered, “Actually I did not know but I am just making a guess. Like Yun Chi and Qianfeng, I’ve sensed that someone is actually watching over us. But I can’t really place my finger as well.”
The Natural Instinct of his Divine Heart Recite seemed to have sense a presence constantly keeping an eye on him. This weird feeling had actually intensified ever since he was beaten up in his sleep.
He explained, “But if this illusion is created by someone then it won’t last. It is just a matter of time before the illusion array will wear off since it isn’t supported by any heavenly relic or divine swords.”
He had been using his divine sense to probe the two passages for the past 2 days and could not sense any profound fluctuations.
Ji Yuan smiled as he said to his party, “Come. Let’s us be on the way on.”
