The Romantic Cultivator

Chapter 436 Cultivation Test (5)

Once again the cultivation test had begun again.

Ji Yuan was now looking sheepishly at his surroundings.

His plan was actually really very simple; Yu Jingjing would be the one that provides the answer for all of them at the same time.

He had told his party, “Do you think that the questions will still be the same?”

Shui Xisi had answered, “Of course it is. Didn’t that freaky old spirit says so already?”

Ji Yuan hummed softly before he chuckled, “Then you’re too young, too simple!”

Shui Xisi: …

“I will be too young, too simple?! Ji Yuan, you’re really a rascal. I’m going to teach you a lesson now…”

Feng Minyue interrupted, “Stop it the two of you. We’re running out of time now.”

Mo Bei growled, “We’re honorable cultivators. We shouldn’t cheat and we should depend upon our own strength to overcome the trial. Then it is much more meaningful and we can further our cultivation to a higher level…”

“You can go now.” Little Princes interrupted him with a wry smile. “I’m not an orthodox cultivator.”

“Yea. Please go away.” Yun Chi smiled as she winked at Mo Bei.

Mo Bei: …

“Actually, as your Senior, I am willing to close one eye to this…”

Ling Feiyue giggled, “No Senior, you’ve better go away. What we are doing is something extremely dishonorable. But lucky I am also an unorthodox cultivator so this is perfect for me.”

Shui Xisi laughed, “I am not an orthodox cultivator as well.”

Feng Minyue smiled weakly, “Although I am an orthodox cultivator but what is so dishonorable about using a little stratagem in the trial?”

“I totally agree.” Yu Jingjing nodded.

Mo Bei smiled weakly, “Actually I just want to say I will go with the majority.”

Then before anyone can say anything, Mo Bei quickly asked Ji Yuan. “So what’s the plan?”

Ji Yuan chuckled loudly, “You shall know very soon…”

As the cultivators opened the cultivation manual, many were shocked that the questions seemed a little different now. The questions were still the same but were in different order now and the multiple choice questions had changed.

Some of the cultivators were looking a little confused now and were blinking at the questions while trying to pick the right answer.

It was precisely what Ji Yuan had correctly deducted.

Shui Xisi gave a soft sigh of resignation while muttering softly, “I’m too young, too simple…darn you Ji Yuan…”

She caught Ji Yuan giving a triumphant look at her and she quickly averted her eyes, “Darn you twice Ji Yuan. I am going to screw you if I’ve the chance…”

Ji Yuan was silently nodding to his party and everyone was executing ‘his plan.”

“His plan’ was really simple; they were all looking at Yu Jingjing silently and she was tapping her fingers on her cheek or on the table to give everyone the clues.

For answers A, B, C, D and E, she would tap her cheeks while for answers F and G, she would tap on the table.

And if she encircled her fingers then it is a signal for her to move on to the next question.

If anyone encircles their fingers then it would mean asking for her to repeat her questions again and she would touch her ear to remind everyone to pause in the current answers first.

And so everyone was copying Yu Jingjing’s answers with great confidence.

When the time was up, Yu Jingjing had scored 100 much to the amazement of the other cultivators.

Even more amazing was that Ji Yuan, Little Princess, Feng Minyue, Ling Feiyue, Shui Xisi, Yun Chi and Mo Bei had also scored 100 as well.

The old spirit entity had an unhappy look on his face as he said, “The eight of you can proceed to the portal behind me.”

Then with a loud growl, he added. “The rest of you shall take an hour break before the next round starts.”

The rest of the cultivators were all cursing silently Ji Yuan and his group; they knew that Ji Yuan had cheated in the trial and that was actually the key to overcome the trial.

All the cultivators were sprinting into action now as they quickly looked for the cultivators with the higher scores; they had only a hour to strategize a winning team to overcome this trial and an hour will pass fairly quickly. After all, Ji Yuan had already shown them how to do overcome this trial. The problem was to actually finding someone who was really good in their cultivation practices.

“Can I team up with you?”𝒐𝑣𝓵xt.𝔠𝒐𝓂

“May I join your group?”

“Go away! You’re a zero warrior…”

“I demand to be leader of this group and I should claim the first to enter the portal when we have overcome the trial…”

Ji Yuan gave a triumphant look as he chuckled to his party, “See! I told you that it will work!”

Then he looked gently at Yu Jingjing, “Jingjing, thank you!”

Yu Jingjing returned a flushed look as she nodded light. “I am glad that I am of help to my lord.”

She had felt that she was probably the weakest link in this group as she was not a skilled fighter and she was really glad that she was able to contribute finally.

As Ji Yuan and his party walked to the portals at the end of the hall to claim their rewards, the invisible Great Beyond Goddess was looking a little exasperated at how easy Ji Yuan had overcome the trial that she had specifically picked because she knew that Ji Yuan would never be able to pass this cultivation test on his own; after all she knew Ji Yuan’s soul sea very well.

This cultivation test won’t be easy for any of the cultivators either to crack either and they would mostly be struck here until the end of the trial was over.

However she had not expected that there would be a genius cultivator in Ji Yuan’s group who actually knows most of the cultivation answers.

Returning a hateful glance, she muttered. “We shall see again very soon.”

She was already thinking on how to screw Ji Yuan for the next trial already as she had determined that Ji Yuan was too impure and was offensive toward her in their earlier encounter.

Such an impure man must surely be put down for the good of the cultivation world.

Ji Yuan naturally was not aware of the things that would happen to him very soon.  His thoughts were naturally on the rewards of the trial itself.

He was already asking, “So who will be the first? The first will naturally have the best rewards.”

And he was smiling at Yu Jingjing, “Since it is due to Maiden Yu’s credit, we should let her enter the portal first.”

Ling Feiyue smiled with a light nod, “That’s right and it sounds fair. And I suggest that Ji Yuan be the second since he is the one that have thought of this idea…”

“No, I disagree.” Yu Jingjing had suddenly interrupted with a shy look. “I will like Ji Yuan to go first.”

Mo Bei muttered a weak protest, “This isn’t a good idea. He only has crooked ideas.”

Feng Minyue and Shui Xisi said almost at the same time, “Ji Yuan is right. This is to your credit. The first reward should go to you.”

Yu Jingjing averted her eyes, “No, I will insist on this. He is my lord and I want the very best for him.”

Ji Yuan was looking a little awkward as all the maidens were looking at him with the same thought: You’re so lucky to have Maiden Yu Jingjing.

“Haha…then I shall not decline.” He laughed weakly.

Yun Chi chuckled softly, “He is really such a thick skin fellow.”

Bai Qianfeng was laughing as well, “That is why he is our lord.”

Yun Chi sighed softly as she took a glance at Bai Qianfeng, “Shameless lord.”

All the other maidens were all giggling softly as they nodded in agreement.

Ji Yuan: …

Ji Yuan: …

Ji Yuan: …
