The Romantic Cultivator

Chapter 283 The Jade Mansion (6)

Yu Jingjing was only lightly startled by Ji Yuan’s rejection of her strategy because this was actually within her expectations.

She could only mutter weakly. “Is that so…”

But all of a sudden Ji Yuan said. “Even though this is not going to work but I will try it once tomorrow.”

Yu Jingjing was startled. “You’re willing to try?”

“Sometimes you will never know until you’ve tried.” Ji Yuan sighed softly before he turned to his serving maid. “Register me for the battle arena tomorrow.”

The serving maid smiled. “I’m afraid that you’ve to register yourself at the counter.”

Ji Yuan: …

Lame services…

But he forced out a laugh as he walked away. “Well then, see you all tomorrow.”

Many of the cultivators were startled as they muttered. “Is he going to try out this plan? Is he naïve as well?”

Ji Yuan was actually thinking; this is not going to work but at least I’ve a ticket out of this hall now…

He was quickly followed by Mo Bei and Feng Minyue.

Feng Minyue whispered after him. “Ji Yuan, will you listen to me? I have another plan.”

“Oh?” Ji Yuan said.

Feng Minyue pulled Ji Yuan to one side as she whispered to his ears. “We must not let these attendants know…”

Then she whispered. “Do you still remember that we have the Mirror of Telepathy?”

Ji Yuan’s eyes began to widen as he laughed. “Now that is a good plan.”

Feng Minyue whispered with a soft sigh. “I haven’t told you the plan yet.”

Ji Yuan looked at her porcelain face and smiled wryly, “Any plans from Maiden Feng must be a good plan, haha.”

Feng Minyue: …

“I’m thinking that you should do this tomorrow instead…”

“Good plans, good plans!” Ji Yuan chuckled.

Feng Minyue displayed a soft groan. “I haven’t even started yet…”

“Haha…”

“This is my plan…”

“Maiden Feng, why don’t you come to my room first so that we can have a good chat?”

Feng Minyue was startled as she quickly said. “Shameless…”

“Erm, I am not thinking of anything else or are you thinking otherwise?” Ji Yuan returned an innocent look at her.

Feng Minyue: …

“Ji Yuan, I’m serious…”

“I’m serious too.” Ji Yuan smiled. “About you.”

Feng Minyue was startled and there was a deep flush on her; luckily, she was wearing a veil or it would be too noticeable.

However Ji Yuan could tell that she was flushing as there was a hint of pink by the sides of her eyes.

And she was looking at her hand…

Ji Yuan was also looking at her hand…

All of a sudden Ji Yuan took Feng Minyue’s hand and laughed. “Haha. Why don’t you go to the bed with me instead?”

As suddenly as it had never happened, Feng Minyue had slapped his face with an angry huff and had walked away.

Mo Bei was stunned that Ji Yuan would be so outrageous in front of so many others.

Even Yu Jingjing was startled; he is just a good-for-nothing lecherous cultivator. Maybe I am really wrong about him…

Many of the cultivators were shouting behind Ji Yuan with great indignant;

“You call yourself a cultivator of the way?”

“How dare he outrage a fellow cultivator in such a manner…”

“Not even an unorthodox cultivator would dare to be so shameless…”

“Maybe he is a heretic cultivator…”

“He is a beardless cultivator of the Desolate Celestial Fraternity, that’s all. I’ve heard that a respectable cultivator in the Desolate Celestial Fraternity will have a beard. Only the vilest and the most shameless cultivator will go around without a beard. Even if they have no beards due to their golden transformation, they will still wear a fake beard…”

“It is a terrible stain to my honor to be in the same faction as this shameless cultivator…”

“Great hero? My foot!”

Even Mo Bei was gasping with exasperation. “Qianxue is so wrong in you. You should really examine your character!”

But Ji Yuan took the insults calmly and had walked quietly away.

The next day, Ji Yuan was standing in the battle arena again.

His rival, a beard cultivator from the Water Faction had immediately appeared on the other side of the platform to face him and was looking quite nervous.

How could he not be nervous?

After he was from the Desolate Celestial Fraternity and he knew who Ji Yuan was; the Sword Demon that had killed Sword Saintess Jian Yuluo, the Great Hero Ji Yuan that had killed an eighth rank desolate metamorph beast and a great saint that had an immortal-step sword!

If Ji Yuan could hear his anxious heart, he would flash a grin and said. “Alas, why am I so awesome? Who says I’ve an immortal-step divine sword now? Look at my divine sword, it is only a saint-step divine sword…”

Yu Jingjing, Feng Minyue and Mo Bei were all watching Ji Yuan keenly…

On the opposing side, Ling Feiyue, Little Princess, Bai Qianfeng and Shui Xisi were also looking keenly at Ji Yuan.

Ji Yuan suddenly said. “Before we fight, I have two things to say. May I?”

The opposing cultivator began to stammer. “You…may…I mean you can…”

Ji Yuan was amazed by how smooth it was as he said aloud, mustering his puny martial shout to say thunderously. “Well, first all I want to start from the least important thing. Do you all know that you are all being monitored by all the trial spirit? It is best that you don’t share your gossips or any useful information in front of your serving attendants.”

When he had said that, many of the combatants had suddenly stopped fighting and were laughing aloud. “What is it? Is he crazy? Or he has a phobia?”

There were at least 40 combatants that were fighting inside the battle arena. Even though there was an invisible barrier around all the combatants but it was not sound proof.

Many of the speculators were all laughing and mocking at him.

Only a few cultivators took notice of his advices. Among them were Little Princess, Ling Feiyue, Shui Xisi and Bai Qianfeng.

Ji Yuan smiled. “Therefore I will advise you to discharge them from your services. No matter how beautiful they look, they are roses with thorns.”

Many of the speculators in the Fire Faction were all shaking their head; it was because this Ji Yuan was causing their Fire Faction to be in disrepute and causing the other factions to look down on the already weak Fire Faction now!

Some were laughing, “Maybe he is too poor to have a beautiful attendant…”

But Ji Yuan did not mind at all. He was used to being the clown and he had to put across this message.

It was because this was the message that Feng Minyue had told him to deliver!

Yesterday Feng Minyue had secretly written a message on his palm while pretending to slap him. She had only written two words; serving attendants.

Ji Yuan immediately knew what she was trying to tell him and had playacted in front of everyone; it was because he knew that the trial spirit was keenly watching his every move.

It was because their sharp eyes could already observed that the many different serving attendants in the hall were suddenly exchanging their dead eyes with a subtle life and they were looking at Ji Yuan intently.

Only when he could warn his beloveds to dismiss their serving attendants then they could use the Mirror of Telepathy to communicate with them!

He added. “Maybe even your rooms are not safe at all.”

Ji Yuan was now grinning. He had completed his first task.

Now for the second task.

He was smiling weakly; he was going to get mocked very badly by his opponent as well as everyone from all the four factions.

But he had to honor Yu Jingjing’s request at least once even though he did not agree with it.

So he said. “Secondly, I have an idea. I hope that the trial will be conducted in a bloodless and civilize way. Why don’t we compare cultivation realm levels for a quick win, lose or draw…”

“Your idea…is good…I surrender…you can take all my cultivation resources…” His opponent suddenly stammered and interrupted him.

Ji Yuan: …

“Wait, I haven’t finished speaking…don’t teleport me again…”

p The trial spirit announced, “Number 44,444 has won against 26781.”

Yu Jingjing was flushing all of a sudden as she covered her mouth. “He has really used my plan and it works…”

All of a sudden she felt that her heart was beating very fast for no apparent reason…
