The Rogue Villager Chen Erbao
Chapter 370: Rescue
After kicking Lao Si away, Chen Erbao unhesitatingly rushed in front of the dazed man. With a high sweep kick, he knocked the man unconscious.
As for the woman groaning and crying out beneath the man, she hadn't yet processed what was happening, her eyes staring blankly at Chen Erbao.
Chen Erbao made short work of the two of them. He struck a rather cool pose and looked toward Bai Xiaoqing at the door.
Seeing Chen Erbao deal with the enemies so cleanly and decisively, Bai Xiaoqing finally breathed a sigh of relief. She hurried into the room, came to his side, and looked at him with concern.
"Er Bao, are you okay?"
Chen Erbao, ever the show-off, cockily flicked his hair.
"Do I look like I'm not okay?"
Bai Xiaoqing rolled her eyes at him, then her gaze fell on the completely naked woman.
Chen Erbao was about to turn and look, but Bai Xiaoqing covered his eyes.
"Turn around! You're not allowed to look!"
Chen Erbao sighed, silently turned around, and grabbed the man by the collar, piling him up with Lao Si.
Meanwhile, Bai Xiaoqing picked up some nearby clothes and used them to cover the woman's body.
"How are you? Are you all right?"
The woman was stunned for a long moment before she could clearly see her surroundings. When she saw that Lao Si and the other man had been knocked out, she finally realized she had been saved.
Her eyes instantly turned red, and tears streamed down her cheeks.
Bai Xiaoqing comfortingly picked up a nearby towel to wipe the woman's dirty cheeks, speaking in a gentle voice.
"Don't worry. You're safe now."
At these words, the woman began to cry even more heartbrokenly.
Bai Xiaoqing helped her get dressed, and the woman shakily got to her feet.
Chen Erbao and Bai Xiaoqing then learned what the young woman had been through.
It turned out she lived in this very town. Last night, she had gone out to buy something when Lao Si followed her and knocked her unconscious. The next time she woke up, she was here.
Chen Erbao asked a few more questions and found that she knew nothing about what Lao Si and the other man were involved in, nor did she have any idea who Lao Si was.
Once the woman had composed herself, Chen Erbao tied up the two men and slapped Lao Si across the face.
Lao Si slowly regained consciousness, feeling an intense pain from his crotch. His face instantly contorted, and when he saw the man standing before him, his expression turned vicious.
"Who are you?"
Chen Erbao stood before him, looking down with disdain, and sneered.
"You don't need to know who I am. You'll just answer my questions honestly. Got it?"
Lao Si glared sullenly at Chen Erbao. His eyes swept over the now-dressed woman sitting to the side and Bai Xiaoqing standing beside her, and his gaze instantly lit up.
Bai Xiaoqing already possessed an incomparably beautiful face, and with her curvaceous figure, she could drive almost any man wild—especially a lecher like Lao Si.
Seeing that the man still hadn't learned his lesson, Chen Erbao kicked him in the crotch again.
"Aaargh…"
Lao Si screamed again, his face drained of color as he howled in agony.
Chen Erbao grabbed a nearby wooden stick and decisively stabbed it into Lao Si's thigh.
SQUELCH!
The sharp wooden stick viciously pierced into his flesh and blood. The intense pain made Lao Si's entire body tremble.
"Shut up!"
Chen Erbao said coldly.
Hearing Chen Erbao's command, Lao Si quickly shut his mouth, not daring to make another sound. His gaze toward Chen Erbao was now tinged with fear.
"Start talking. Where are those little girls?"
Chen Erbao pulled over a chair and sat down in front of Lao Si to interrogate him.
Lao Si's eyes shot open. He hadn't expected Chen Erbao to ask about that.
"Who the hell are…"
He had just started to ask when he saw Chen Erbao look like he was about to strike again. He quickly shut his mouth and began to answer the questions obediently.
After Lao Si finished speaking, Chen Erbao finally understood the man's identity.
It turned out that Lao Si was a minor boss from a branch of Sanjiang City's Giant Whale Gang. The little flower-selling girls were either orphans or had been bought from traffickers from other regions. The Giant Whale Gang used these girls to approach people and exploit their sympathy for money.
Once the girls reached their teens, the gang would send them to their own clubs or other underground establishments to work in "other industries."
In short, they were a long-term supply of backup personnel for the Giant Whale Gang!
Chen Erbao listened to Lao Si's explanation with a blank expression, feeling an indescribable rage building in his heart.
He had thought the Giant Whale Gang was just a local triad, involved in low-life activities like collecting protection fees and extortion. He never imagined the gang was this depraved!
Chen Erbao might be a player, but he didn't consider himself a bad person. Whether in business or in his relationships, he still had some principles.
Right now, all he wanted was to smash the Giant Whale Gang leader's head in with a single punch!
According to Lao Si, there were many other branches like his, each controlling a dozen or so little girls, scattered throughout Sanjiang City!
'Fuck!'
'Are the Patrols just eating shit?'
Chen Erbao cursed inwardly, his gaze on Lao Si growing increasingly hostile.
"You deserve to die!"
As Lao Si watched in terror, Chen Erbao kicked him unconscious.
Bai Xiaoqing came to Chen Erbao's side, her brow furrowed as she said angrily,
"Er Bao, they're not even human!"
"You're right."
A plan was already forming in Chen Erbao's mind, but for now, there were more pressing matters.
According to Lao Si, the little girls were in a dormitory behind the factory, guarded by one of his underlings.
"You two wait here. I'm going to check the back."
he said to Bai Xiaoqing.
Bai Xiaoqing nodded, then pointed at Lao Si and the other man, a little worried. "Er Bao, they won't wake up, will they?"
"They won't. Besides, they're tied up. What's there to be afraid of!"
Hearing Chen Erbao say this, Bai Xiaoqing nodded, reassured.
Chen Erbao left the room and followed a small path along the factory toward the back.
Guided by the dim light, he walked all the way to the very back of the factory, where his gaze fell on a pitch-black warehouse.
'The Divine Sense tracking mark I left is inside that warehouse!'
Chen Erbao pushed open the heavy warehouse door and looked inside, meeting more than a dozen pairs of terrified eyes.
In a corner of the warehouse, a dozen or so raggedly dressed little girls stared at Chen Erbao with wide, frightened eyes.
They were filthy from head to toe, their faces gaunt, and they were huddled together, trying to fend off the cold wind blowing in through a drafty spot in the warehouse.
Chen Erbao looked around, found the light switch, and flipped it on. The dim warehouse was instantly flooded with light.
He forced his expression to be as gentle as possible and smiled at the girls.
"Don't worry. I'm here to rescue you!"
"Who are you!"
Just as Chen Erbao finished speaking, a voice came from a corner of the warehouse.
Lao Si's underling was standing at the door of a small room, asking suspiciously.
Chen Erbao turned his head, picked up a brick, and threw it straight at him.
THWACK!
The underling dropped to the ground without another sound.
