Chapter 551 - It's Really Me, Lexi.
Lexi's eyes bore nothing but shock as she stared at the young woman sitting opposite her. The blink of her eyes were rather few as her husband's words repeated in her mind; "She's Chacha"
She's Chacha...
The charming lady was Churu...
Churu the dumpling was this human... or to be precise, this lady with a pair of argent eyes.
How could this be...?
Lexi felt she was being pranked by the two. She wanted to ask a series of questions, but to no avail. Words wouldn't come out from her mouth.
"Love?" Ethan Lu softly called yet, Lexi's eyes were glued on Churu's. "Love?" Ethan Lu volumed up his tone a little, which thankfully snapped Lexi back to them.
"I'm sorry," she apologized as Lexi mildly shook her head. "You are...?"
"It's really me Lexi..." For some reason, Churu had grew emotional with the sight of Lexi. It was as if something within her was triggered upon meeting her that made her eyes sting.
Lexi slightly bit her lower lip as she scrutinized Churu's lovely front. "So you look like this?" Slowly, the corner of her lips curled into a gentle smile, causing Churu's tears to break free.
"Hmm!" Churu profusely nodded her head, neglecting the tears that were staining her cheeks.
"You look so pretty..." Lexi's heart was proud as she rose from her seat and walked over her side. Upon closer look, Churu was more beautiful and Lexi nodded in satisfaction.
Lexi had often thought what would Churu would look like. Recalling the time that Churu was her muse and Lexi designed clothes for her to wear — even matching clothes sometimes — she thought what Churu would look like if she was a human.
She must admit though, she didn't expect her to be this pretty and cute. Now, Churu was more like a little sister.
"Lexi~!!" Breaking down, Churu hugged Lexi's waist as she sobbed. She could now embrace Lexi and not just her neck, arms, or any small areas of her body. How convenient.
"Haha," a soft chuckle escaped Lexi's mouth because no doubt, this young miss was surely her Sissy. Patting her back, rubbing it gently, it reminded Lexi of something.
"Right, we need to prepare clothes and have you eaten?"
"Didn't I..." Just before Ethan Lu could finish his inquiry, Lexi's sharp eyes turned to him.
"I did but I only prepare the small ones I left here a long time ago." Lexi was unsure about the vague message she received from her husband, she assumed that he was talking about small clothes for the dumpling.
Therefore, since Lexi had left quite a few designs that she sewed in Beauty DR's premises, she assumed that was her husband was talking about. That was the time when her company hasn't flourished yet and they were still working on the final sample of their first batch.
"Right... sorry," Ethan Lu nodded his head as he understood that he didn't explain things well. Not his fault though, as he was too shocked to give details at that moment.
****
"This is chummy~!" Blushing, Churu sandwiched her stuffed cheeks with her palms as she chewed the cake in her mouth.
Lexi and Ethan Lu were akin to parents as they watched Churu gobble the food and snacks all of her own. Both husband and wife could not help but smile as Churu had truly become a human.
Although the reason why was still left as a mystery, both silently decided not to think about it for now. What's important was Churu would enjoy the things she couldn't enjoy when she was at her dumpling form.
"It is, right?" Lexi grinned, revealing her even white teeth as she enjoyed watching Churu eats.
"Hmm!" Profusely nodding, Churu nearly choked. Gently patting her back, Lexi slid the bottle of water near Churu, which the latter drank to clear her airways.
"Careful," worried, Lexi reminded.
Churu responded with a huge grin, "I'm excited to eat mommy yang's cooking~"
"I asked her to prepare more dinner later." Lexi chuckled as she too was excited for her parents to meet Churu.
Although Frederick and Lillian Yang haven't met Churu, they heard about that "friend" that helped Lexi. Lexi would often mention that friend to them in the past, back when she was in her moving on phase from Morris Liu.
Therefore, when Lexi made a quick call to the Yang Manor, Lillian Yang was excited to finally meet that "friend" of her daughter. Of course, Lexi couldn't say that Churu was initially a dumpling, right?
So, the only reasons she could give was Churu visiting the country and Lexi offered her accommodations. After all, the yang manor has tons of spare room.
"By the way, Chacha you can stay with Lexi for now, right?" After some pondering, Ethan Lu had decided to let Churu stay with Lexi's side for now. However, Churu shook her head in refusal.
"No," Still shaking her head, Churu cleared her throat. "Although I am now in this form, Churu being the system's guide didn't change." She explained, which made Ethan Lu's brows furrowed.
"What do you mean?" Lexi and Ethan Lu both had their eyes on Churu's delicate features as she gulped down a mouthful of water and cleared her throat.
"Although I look like a human, I am not. Don't forget I am a fallen angel, so I can never become a human. Also, I can still feel my inner energy, which a normal human couldn't feel — and had abilities too..." In a matter-of-fact tone, Churu explained.
Unbeknownst to her, as the husbands and wife were listening, they somehow missed the "professor Churu" persona. After all, whenever Churu explained things to them, she automatically changed her outfit akin to a teacher. Therefore, they were still not used to this human form.
"Do you understand?" Tilting her head to the side, Ethan and Lexi snapped as they focused their distracted eyes on those pair of argent orbs.
"Uhm, you mean you can still fly?" Pretending that he listened, Ethan Lu asked as he cleared his throat.
"Sadly, I can't — my wings are already broken. But fret not! There are things that I can now do that I couldn't in the cute form." Slowly, a bright grin slowly formed on Churu's lips and eyes that made Ethan Lu narrowed his eyes.
"For example…?"
"Hehe…" Churu giggled as she thought about the things she could now do on her current form. Somehow, Lexi and Ethan Lu had a gut feeling of what mischievous thoughts that Churu was cooking up.
