Chapter 511 - L.O.V.E. Ethan Lu~
Just as Churu's bald, soft, and white head collided with his, a chain of events flashed before his eyes like a projector summarizing the outcome of his death.
It started from the time the airplane experienced abrupt turbulence before if crashed — having his last thoughts of his family. Then it skipped to the part where Edward Lu secretly informed Lexi on how he recovered his body and showed her Ethan Lu's last will — transferring all his property to Lexi and company shares to the twins if they reached their right age. Until then, Lexi would be the one who would be the acting CEO.
It then skipped to Lexi, receiving the news of a car crash of Lillian Yang and Frederick Yang, together with the twins, where the four of them, and several of the nannies and the driver died. Not to mention, Edward Lu also died weeks after the twin's death.
And then, another skipped where Lexi was coping with all her losses, denying the series of unfortunate events which eventually made her half sane and insane. Despite that, she remained strong and did her duty as the Lu Corporation head. However, she had gone mad and violent — crippling everyone who defied the sick family rules and even tainted her own hands with blood.
It didn't stop there as he witnessed how Dylan Lu hit on his wife — showing his real colors and desire to get under Lexi's pants just to mock him.
Lexi, his poor wife had experienced miserable days after he lost his life on that plane crash. Yet, she remained strong and endured everything, she even made wise decisions despite everything that happened to her.
For example, she married Morris Liu in papers and if she died, her shares and everything would be transferred to him. Thus, she lived longer for seven years before her mind snapped.
Ethan Lu vividly witnessed everything, as if he was truly there. An invisible dagger pierced his heart, watching Lexi treat two dolls as her twins, and taking care of his lifeless body.
It was too painful to watch. The longer he watched them, the more the grip around his heart tightened.
He screamed and shouted but no one could hear him. He wanted to give his wife a hug and save his twins from the abrupt end of their lives. However, he couldn't do anything because these were the occurrences that happened when he passed on.
"Love..." Watching Lexi inside a psychiatric ward, pampering two dolls with a bright smile on her face, Ethan Lu whispered as tears slipped from the corner of his eyes.
"That's my answer to your question." Suddenly, Churu appeared beside him while she looked at Lexi's figure. Churu's memories about this possible outcome from what Yael showed her lasted until Lexi died at 42.
Lexi spent her last ten years after her impeachment as the CEO of the Lu Corporation inside these place. It might be cruel for Churu to show this to Ethan Lu, but, to motivate him to fight for his survival, he must know the consequences if he lost his life.
Slowly, the surrounding Ethan Lu was seeing vanished and they returned to reality. All the images and scenes he saw only took one minute in the real world.
Yet, that one minute was pure torture. Ethan Lu felt the most excruciating pain he had ever experienced in his entire life, feeling every deep cut in his still beating heart.
"You know, there is something wrong with your head if you doubt my credibility." Out of nowhere, Churu broke the silence as Ethan Lu hanged his head low without saying a single word.
Well, it was not that she was truly thinking that Ethan Lu would doubt the scenes she showed him but, just to make it clear to him.
"I don't care." After a minute, Ethan Lu responded. He raised his head and his gaze, blazing fire beneath his pair of eyes, met Churu's.
"You don't care, what you don't care?" Churu frowned, sensing the enormous dark aura emanating within him.
"I don't care whether they are true or not. I won't let them touch even the tip of her hair." A statement full of unbending resolve, Ethan Lu swore while staring at Churu, as if pledging an oath.
"Oh-hoh~! That's the spirit chu~!" Churu grinned, seeing how determined he was. With a snap of her fingers, she was now wearing a cheerleader outfit, exposing her flabby tummy while holding a pair of pompoms.
"Go Ethan~! Go Ethan~! Fight for your life~!" Cheering, Churu willingly performed in front of him as she exhibited her jumping skills in the air.
"Dylan..." Fortunately, Ethan Lu ignored Churu's cheerleading skit as Dylan Lu's face and the way he looked at Lexi flashed in his mind.
Whether the scenes were true or not, Ethan Lu had already taken them into account and deep down, he believed that they were real. Hence, he positively perceived that Dylan Lu was one of his silent enemies. Now, Ethan Lu wouldn't just blindly guess.
"L.O.V.E. Ethan Lu~! Go! go! Ethan Lu~! Battle of life, here we go~! Here, here, here we go~!" Just as Churu was in high spirits as Ethan Lu's energy affected her, he heard hurried knocks from the door before it opened without permission.
"Master!!" As soon as Lyrick Jiang intruded inside, he knelt down as he has an emotional breakdown upon hearing the news.
"Master! I'm so glad you postponed your flight!" Crying his heart out, Lyrick Jiang sounded more as if he was grieving for his lost child than being relieved.
Ethan Lu's line of thought paused, the corner of his brows uncontrollably twitched. Aside from the cheering dumpling, doing an acrobatic backflip from the surface of the table, and then jumping high up to the ceiling, while screaming "Ethan Lu"; Lyrick Jiang was sobbing while addressing him as Master.
"Aish, I'm just lucky no need to worry." Forcing a smile, Ethan Lu waved his hands off as he chuckled while shaking his head.
Ethan Lu had set his rage down for now. He wanted to cherish this moment as he was thankful for another day. Also, having a loyal assistant and a reliable dumpling as an addition to his side was quite reassuring one way or another.
