Chapter 377 - My Sister Just Gave Birth.
After doing the necessary procedures, the two babies were placed on Lexi. Altering her head from right to left, Lexi looked up to Ethan Lu who already had tears of joy in his eyes.
Smiling as tears fell from the corner of her eyes, Lexi slightly nodded her head. Words could not express their happiness as Ethan Lu and Lexi could only look at each other with their eyes welling up yet a bright smile on their lips.
"They are so beautiful..." First love... Lexi and Ethan Lu never knew what it meant until this moment.
The very moment they laid their eyes on them, there was this automatic switch that activated in their heart. That instant, deep within their hearts, an unbreakable covenant was made to protect, love, and cherish their little family.
Their expectations of what was to come, at this moment, exceeded everything because it was priceless. Nothing could compare to this wonderful day as two wonderful beings were born into existence.
"I'm so proud of you," Wiping the tears in his eyes, Ethan Lu naturally kissed Lexi's forehead before he went ahead to touch the babies' little, delicate hands. "Thank you, my love." He added as uncontrollable tears just kept gushing from his eyes.
Never in his entire life did he ever think that at this moment, things like this, he never imagined he'd ever be able to go through in this lifetime, would be this wonderful. Fortunately, he got the chance to be with Lexi and it gave him a whole new different perspective of the world.
Joining her pregnancy journey, he would be lying if he said it was as easy as making a baby. No, there were tons of sacrifices that were made, sleepless nights, late-night driving to find food that she wanted, and dealing with Lexi's mood swings that were the most difficult and frightening part.
Now, he could finally say that it was all worth it. Also, it was nothing compared to the pain Lexi had endured delivering their children. Hence, he was proud and saluted her.
Moreover, deep down, the lingering mentality that women are still fragile beings completely vanished. After witnessing the torment Lexi had gone through within these last sixteen hours and the months before this when she was cramping, all he could do was give his utter respect— especially to mothers.
Although the hatred for his own biological mother was still there, Ethan Lu didn't turn this hate to others and it was meant solely for the late Christina Lu.
"Hey baby..." Subtly smiling, Lexi cherished their first interaction with their children as all of Lexi's exhaustion was set aside for the meantime.

The next day...
The twins stayed in the nursery room as Lexi rested the entire time within minutes after she gave birth. Of course, since the twins have arrived, this wonderful news soon reached their closest friends.
[Country J]
"It's a wrap!" Announcing over the microphone, the director of the set that Elliot Gong was working at the moment clapped his hands.
Smiling, Elliot Gong was relieved that he finally finished filming this international movie that they had been working on for six months now. Naturally, Elliot Gong interacted with his colleagues as he exchanged cheerful hive fives and congratulating them for their hard work.
Just then, Elliot Gong's little assistant approached him and leaned closer to him as he whispered.
"Eli, Miss Song is calling."
"Huh? What does she wants this time?" Arching his brows, Elliot Gong immediately assumed that Rika Song needed something again. However, his assistant's next words piqued his interest.
"Also, Mr. Lu's assistant also left a missed call."
"Huh? What's up with them? Give me the phone." After excusing himself, Elliot Gong walked over to the side along with his assistant before he handed his hand out to receive the phone.
Without further ado, Elliot Gong searched Rika Song's private number which he easily found. Elliot Gong then rang her phone and waited for at least four rings before it was picked up.
"Eli—!"
"What? If this is about you and your boyfriend breaking up, I'll hang up." The moment the line connected, Elliot Gong, in a matter of fact tone muttered as a greeting.
God knows how much Rika Song pestered him with her unstable relationship with that doctor. Especially when Lexi had undergone the critical stage of her pregnancy and they were well aware that she didn't need the stress. Hence, Rika Song chose him to be her outlet.
"Excuse me? What boyfriend? I don't remember having one!" Rolling her eyes, Rika Song scoffed as if she was utterly dismayed at being reminded of Jaime Liao. "For your information, I, Rika Song am not just a rare kind of diamond but also the prettiest auntie! Duh?"
"Auntie?" Knitting his brows, Elliot Gong didn't remember that Rika Song was close to her own family as everyone in her family was a complete trash. Therefore, Rika Song doesn't mention anything about her family.
Not unless, what she meant was... just then, recalling that there was this certain pregnant woman that was close to the two of them, Elliot Gong's eyes widened.
"My bestie delivered two cute babies! That's why I'm calling because you can't miss out on this. Come back!" Knowing that he had already guessed her reason behind her call, Rika Song still wanted to confirm his assumptions.
Also, since Elliot Gong hadn't been in the country for a while, it would be a good time to reunite as Lexi, Rika Song, and Elliot Gong unexpectedly had grown closer to each other— sharing group calls sometimes.
It was safe to say that Elliot Gong, though was shocked himself, he admitted that he was closer to Lexi and Rika Song now. After all, his friends were all busy dealing with their own stuff.
Surely, life has tons of twists and turns. People come and go. Still, he was grateful that the people that were active in his life, though they were the least likely individuals he expected to take some special seat in his heart, he was glad and blessed to have Lexi and Rika Song as his sisters from another mother.
"Eli! Let's have dinner together!" One of the crew waved his hands in his direction as he invited him to attend their dinner to celebrate the end of their filming.
Subtly smiling, Elliot Gong ended the call without a word as he jogged back to the crew of the production team.
"I'm sorry but I have to go back to my home country— my sister just gave birth." Sincere, Elliot Gong emanated a bright vibe as he was happy for Lexi and Ethan Lu's milestone.
