A moment later, the private room suddenly reeked of alcohol, as some bottles of sake had already arrived on the table.

Yeah, since everyone here was adults already, they were allowed to consume this. Of course, not everyone was doing so, as Higo and Hiroshi refused it politely. They were professional here and would never put anything into their body carelessly.

Kumiko was the same, as she was never a drinker in the first place. It also helped that the girl would drive later, so everyone understood her reasoning.

As for the others, surprisingly enough, it was Takaaki who went wild under the effect of the alcohol.

His glasses was off, and with some buttons being off on his messy shirt, he started challenging everyone on a drinking battle.

"Come on, Kuroki-senpai! You have just gotten one cup here! Are you a man or not?!"

"Usami, don’t think you can hide from me! Drink more! Drink more!"

"We are going to party until night! Come on!"

Kuroki cowered instantly, screaming silently for help from Higo or anyone else around. It was clear that he couldn’t hold his own ground here, losing so badly that his face flushed red from the alcohol.

As for Usami, somehow, the boy looked so calm, drinking everything in front of him with the same elegance as if this didn’t bother him at all. It seemed that he studied how to socialize from his father, a person in a high position either in politics or business.

Higo, who saw everything, couldn’t help but have a bead of sweat drop, never expecting to see such a wild personality come out of everyone under the influence of alcohol.

’Sure enough, alcohol will bring up your truest self, huh?’ He couldn’t help but sigh, glaring at the sake on the table as it had just offended him.

Hiroshi, who also didn’t consume alcohol at the moment, leaned slightly toward Higo, suddenly asking, "So, how does it feel to play with the fucking Koki Morita himself, Senpai?"

Higo blinked for a moment, not truly understanding what the boy meant. After all, at this point, he and Morita were friends, so Higo didn’t find anything special in it.

However, when he watched the eagerness in Hiroshi’s eyes for him to answer this question, Higo suddenly remembered one thing.

Before coming to Schalke, Morita was the best player in his generation, one who was hailed by all the media here as someone who would stand alongside top players in the world.

So, Morita was the benchmark for any talented midfielder in the country, wanting to reach the height that the midfielder had stepped on once in the past.

Hiroshi was not different here. The boy wanted to measure how far he was from Morita, and since Higo, that genius’s teammate was here, there was no reason for him to not ask about it.

"Playing with Morita-san, huh?" Higo pondered for a second, trying to recall his memory of the game with the midfielder. "It is... Easy, I guess."

"Easy?"

"Yeah, easy." Higo nodded as he repeated the answer, sounding more convincing right now.

"I don’t need to do anything complicated in the game. As long as I caught the ball, he would always be in the best position to receive the ball, and in the next second, he could think of the best scenario for the team to hurt the opponent the most. Everything happened in a split second, but before you know it, we will already be in front of the opponent’s goal. He is really that amazing, I tell you that..."

Once all the words finally escaped from his mouth, Higo couldn’t help but sigh, somehow managing to appreciate Morita more.

’Yeah, he is indeed amazing. I mean, he is the second on the top assist list, right?’ He murmured quietly.

As for Hiroshi, he was so quiet for a moment, probably pondering Higo’s answer word by word.

"So, that means I am still far away from him, huh?" He clenched his fist secretly, determination and unwillingness to be mediocre burning in his eyes.

Higo blinked for a second, not expecting his Kouhai to get excited out of nowhere like this.

He remembered quite well how Hiroshi was in high school. The boy would always try to get to the professional team for the sake of money, which Higo couldn’t blame him for since it was a family matter.

Now, though, once money was settled, the boy’s passion to be better and climb higher finally emerged, shining brighter than anyone else.

"Yeah, that’s the spirit, Hiroshi-kun! You might still be far from him, but you always have to aim higher, okay?!" Higo laughed, patting the boy on the shoulder as encouragement.

Hiroshi just smiled stiffly, picking up another meat on the grill to his bowl.

"Sure, Senpai. I will try that..." He mumbled lowly.

After this, the conversation shifted to Hiroshi inquiring about everything that Higo learned back in Germany.

Well, the boy himself didn’t hold back, telling him everything that he knew. From what the training session looked like, the facility, the coaching staff, how everyone approached the game, and even the players themselves.

He told his kouhai about how Frohling and Waldoch would always help him get better in his role, how the meeting would always run, how the players’ attitude toward the training session was, and even the littlest details like how they treated new players or something like that.

In the end, Hiroshi couldn’t help but sigh here, finding all the information flying above his head.

"It seems that besides the facilities, the money, and the coaching staff, everything is still the same as here, huh?" He muttered under his breath.

"Well, what can you expect? That’s professional football for you." Higo shrugged, knowing exactly why Hiroshi sighed. "We are just a small team, so not everyone plays for glory. If anything, most are still there because the money is good, and you cannot blame them for that."

At least, that was what Higo learned after seeing how his teammates would behave even when the team couldn’t win a few games in a row, as they didn’t look concerned at all about it.

That was a big slap on his face and also a big realization for him, that not everyone wanted to step up their game further to the next level like him and Morita.

"Anyway, don’t think too far ahead. Just make sure that you can get into the main team first, and after that, maybe you can put your eyes on Europe. Come on! I am sure you can do that, Hiroshi!"
