Chapter 2953: Coffins Opening
Chapter 2953: Coffins Opening
Minos looked back one last time before passing the final boundary of the Abyssal Region and the area of the realm where some of his subordinates were waiting.
He hadn't met Lily and Devdar on the way there. From what his senses told him, the two had left the region, just as he had instructed his ally earlier.
'There's no turning back now.' He left the abyssal zone, emerging into a much brighter and quieter area, where a group of six individuals were guarding the surroundings.
"Your Deity Minos..." The men called out to him on noticing his presence, each leaving his post to appear on bended knee in front of him.
Minos waved a hand to allow the group to relax and asked, "How long has it been since Lily and Devdar left?"
"Just over a month, Your Deity." Said a woman native to the realm, one of the many who had already joined the Ancestral Cult, the faction created by Minos at the start of his local journey.
Minos seemed pleased with the information. "I see. It seems my senses weren't so affected by the chaos of the abyss... Perfect. You should return to the faction headquarters. I'll go elsewhere now."
"Yes, Your Deity."
Minos left without saying more, leaving his subordinates to watch him for a while before they themselves disappeared.
While the group of six low-level Celestials thought he was going to Lydis to complete their agreement, Minos had another place in mind.
'First, I have to hide the Yin and Yang somewhere. If Lydis comes after me, I can't risk having the throne with me or I'll lose it easily.'
Minos was confident that Devdar and Lily had not leaked the information that he had succeeded in moving the four thrones of the Abyssal Region. He intended, at least for a while, to use the excuse that he had succeeded with only three thrones to justify the one throne he had sent to Lydis. But just in case, he wanted to prepare for the moment when the strongest in the dimension noticed the truth.
'After that, I have to look into the inheritances that Gloria, Abby and Segiel are involved in. I'll talk to the rest of the family and faction about the problems mentioned by Yin and Yang soon after.'
Minos sighed as he thought about the problems presented by the throne. As urgent as this matter was, discussing it with his family and allies would be of little help. Perhaps Lydis would be the only one with the potential to really help him now, but his other plans could get in the way of that...
So, as much as he had something urgent and very serious on his mind, Minos wasn't in such a hurry to share the information with his group.
'This throne might give me some interesting possibilities in the future and open the door to my next advances. For now, it's my priority!'
Apart from the throne, the most important thing for him now was to have his wives by his side. With them in the Upper Realm, he was sure he could go further against any threats.
This wasn't a thought that came from sentimentality or anything like that. Abby, Gloria, Segiel and Ruth were very talented, each with powers of great value. If they could have the same status as him, even at lower levels, they would be even better supports than individuals like Devdar.
Minos had no doubt about it!
Thinking of them, Minos considered the situation of Ruth, who was the furthest away from returning to his side at the moment. 'How are our actions to obtain new vacant thrones going?' he asked his throne after a while.
The throne replied promptly, 'We have a few groups looking for Devils, but the infernal entities have not been very active lately. Apart from that, the internal disputes are going according to our expectations. Nothing new should emerge before too long.'
Minos had expected to hear about his faction's slow progress in the realm's internal disputes. After his exponential growth shortly after his ascension and then popularization of his fame, many forces were already being more cautious when he was involved.
But the Devils' situation caught Minos' attention.
'That's strange. As soon as I entered the realm, the Hell and the realm were active against each other. Devdar even foresaw a major confrontation breaking out.'
'Yes, those were the trends until recently. Even when you left for Lydis' territory, that was still the most likely tendency.' The throne said with great confidence. It might not have known facts and stories beforehand, but with access to information from Minos' faction, it could conjecture about many different aspects of reality in real time and put forward up-to-date opinions.
'Something is happening in Hell, master. My information relating to that dimension is limited. But what little I do know leads me to believe that there is more than a 45% chance that some powerful Devil has got one of the fundamental laws of Hell.'
Minos still had Mylecent and Vicente Fuller as important contacts for him in Hell and almost stopped when he thought of these two. 'Is it one of them? Mylecent may already be a True Celestial. And as for Vicente, he must have matured enough to change things a bit in Hell.'
The throne said nothing, aware that its master was thinking to himself.
'If it wasn't so complicated for me, I'd arrange to meet them. But finding two Devils, while I'm a Deity, is going to be quite difficult...' Minos thought of his family outside the realm and ordered the throne.
He kept moving forward, looking for a good place to protect the valuable Throne of the Laws of Darkness and Light.
...
Outside the Upper Realm and Hell, there were almost countless possibilities.
Different planes had universes or great worlds in themselves. Infinite stars made up each of them, with trillions and trillions of living beings for every star in existence. And beyond the worlds, continents, islands and great space colonies, an even more impressive space of reality was empty, separating and ranking reality, invisibly connecting its different parts in its own way.
Few, even in the two absolute dimensions, would understand these invisible connections. But they existed, however weakly. In some areas, they were so weak that they practically didn't exist anymore, while in others, they still seemed active, functioning in almost total perfection.
Not far from the two main dimensions, where these invisible connections were most strongly active, there was a third space close to the underwater realm.
Close to the final chaos, where the division of the Ancestral Realm had taken place, giving rise to everything that existed now, was a small, almost imperceptible purple glow.
As you approached this purple glow, the opaque and unclear glow disappeared, giving way to a space so large that it could hold a large space colony for millions of humans, but which itself had only what appeared to be a giant temple, lost in time and space.
In this place, no sign of time could tell whether it had been a day or a million years since the last person had passed through.
Although seemingly empty and silent, the place was spotless, with no dust on the ground, no plants or weeds growing where they shouldn't be.
There were no insects or living creatures wandering around the grandiose building, minimally decorated, but with a few symbols here and there.
What was striking about this grand temple, open to the heavens and full of pillars, were the coffins positioned against the sky, each adorned with symbols of power and prestige, in a language unavailable to almost everyone.
A non-cultivator would look at this place and think it was a long-lost ruin.
But a cultivator would freeze in horror at the sight!
In each of the coffins, peak auras, weakened but noticeable, were active, protecting the place but also exposing its inhabitants.
The temple had a second level, underground, the only extra place in this dimension, distanced from the surface by hundreds of steps. Here were the three strongest auras in the entire dimension, each coming from coffins positioned around a small triangular altar.
Here, suddenly, the golden symbols around the triangular altar glowed, emitting a pulse throughout the temple.
Then the sounds of gears appeared, as the 24 coffins on the upper level and the 3 underground gradually opened after countless years.
A raspy voice from the depths said, "So, the little snoop is finally moving. Has it found the so called, destined one?"
