The Revenge of the Reborn Supreme Sovereign
Chapter 960: He Belongs to Qin Fan
Chapter 960: Chapter 910: He Belongs to Qin Fan
The sandalwood smoke curled gently.
A pot of clear tea.
The dragon bed.
The maid massaged his back.
In the main hall of the Prince’s residence.
The young man, whom the Prince called the Little Heir, was in such a posture.
He was not wearing the ordinary clothes of daily life.
But an ancient robe adorned with small flowers.
Accompanied by the swirling sandalwood smoke, it added a sense of artistic conception.
A sense of the Qing era.
And these were not specifically arranged at his request.
It was just that the Prince offered his own enjoyment for the young man to indulge in.
It can thus be seen that even though the Great Qing has perished for nearly a century, the descendants carrying the royal blood of the Qing are still unwilling to let go of that pride which has long since become worthless.
Let alone anything else, just the braid he kept and the Qing royal robe he wore illustrated this well.
At this moment, the Prince was like a servant.
He stood at the edge of the dragon bed.
His hands were placed flat in front of him, his face shamelessly plastered with a flattering smile.
Looking at the Little Heir, who had his eyes closed while the maid massaged his back, his eyes revealed a kind of pathological reverie and fantasy.
It’s not that he envisioned becoming a person like the Little Heir one day.
But rather fantasized about relying on the immortals like the Little Heir to restore the Qing dynasty!
It must be said that in this contemporary world, to still dare to harbor such impractical ideas, whether it’s that the Prince lives too naively, or the identity as Qing’s remnant gives him pride enough to overwhelm reason.
He’s forgotten that being able to live until now, allowing the Prince’s residence to continue to this day, and still carrying the self-deceptive title of Prince, none of these were given to him by the Qing royal bloodline, but rather by the sympathy of the current government to this remnant twig of a lineage who survived by sheer luck.
A few decades ago, there were quite a few authorities who could not stand the Prince’s residence, having repeatedly reported to eradicate this remnant place.
But the response from the Forbidden City was simply to let him entertain himself, and gradually, no one mentioned this matter anymore. Up till now, more dignitaries regard the so-called Prince and his residence as a mere clown jumping around!
However, it should be noted that although this clown is not capable of achieving great things, this clown, who deep down thinks himself superior, is indeed wealthy.
When the Qing dynasty was overthrown, the then Prince hid an immense amount of gold, silver, and various antiques in the northeast, only to surface after the war had ended.
This Prince’s residence was established after the founding of the nation, and it’s said that in order for this Prince’s residence to be smoothly built, the old Prince brought out nearly half of his family fortune to trade with the government during a time when the national treasury was empty, just to satisfy his stance as a Prince, which had become merely a joke.
And the inherited assets, though continuously squandered by these two Princes, merely represent the tip of the iceberg compared to their total reserves.
When it is said that the Prince is wealthy, it does not refer to cash, properties, or the string of numbers on his bank card.
But rather a treasury full of gold, silver, and antiques!
Yet, the whereabouts of the Prince’s treasure is still a mystery! Perhaps no one other than himself could ever know any trace of it.
Possessing assets beyond what a conglomerate could have, the Prince currently behaved like a servant from a feudal dynasty, humbly bowing before the young man on the dragon bed, “Little Heir, your tea is cold, I’ll fetch you a new pot!”
Just as he spoke these words.
The young man on the dragon bed had not yet responded.
Thud thud thud—
The sound of hurried footsteps quickly echoed.
Several of the Prince’s trusted aides hurriedly rushed in.
“Greetings to the Little Heir, greetings to the Prince!”
They performed the ceremonial etiquette of respect from a feudal dynasty.
Several men waved their hands.
Then kneeled down on one knee before the Prince and the young man on the dragon bed, shouting in unison.
Glancing with worry at the Little Heir who showed no reaction.
The Prince assumed a posture that he believed was full of majesty, speaking in a deep voice, “Rise!”
“Thank you, Prince!”
“Speak then!”
Watching the aides stand up, the Prince said.
“Prince, the person the Little Heir is looking for has a new lead!” one of them said, bowing slightly.
“It took more than half a month to have a lead now! What have I kept you for?”
Out of his long-formed habit, the Prince barked in a disgruntled voice.
“Stop it!”
The Little Heir turned over on the dragon bed, gently speaking.
“Yes, Little Heir!” Hearing this, the Prince quickly retracted his previous demeanor, retreating sheepishly by two steps.
He sat up from the dragon bed.
Looking directly at the Prince’s trusted aides in front of him.
The young man said, “Where is he?”
“To the Little Heir, he is hiding in the campus supermarket of Jinling University! It is due to this that our search took so long to find a clue. Little Heir, we investigated this person’s identity and found nothing! We couldn’t find any actual identity information, not even a name! It’s as if he appeared out of thin air! However, he is currently following Qin Fan, addressing Qin Fan as his boss!” the leading aide rapidly replied.
“Qin Fan? He is someone by Qin Fan’s side?”
Upon hearing this, the Prince seemed to have heard some shocking news.
His brows twitched, and his eyes opened wide.
“Who is Qin Fan?”
Seeing the Prince’s unusual reaction.
The young man raised his eyebrows, his voice serious.
“To the Little Heir, Qin Fan, Qin Fan is currently Huaxia’s number one! His Martial Arts Cultivation resounds across Huaxia. More than half a year ago, at the age of seventeen, he killed Transformation Realm Middle Stage Lan Xiaosheng atop Emei Mountain’s Golden Summit, emerging as a young Grandmaster to shake the Martial Arts World! Following that, he ventured to Japan, slaughtering countless Onmyoji and Ninjas, severely injuring Japan’s national strength! He also went to Europe to annihilate the entire Vampire lineage, furthermore single-handedly eliminating the globally renowned dark giants, the Wolf King, and Earl Geman! However, this young man is rebellious by nature, disrespectful of laws, and once openly stormed into Jinling Mansion, brutally killing the popular successor Bo Xianmin and his family to intimidate others!
“But just over two months ago, atop Kunlun Mountain, it was rumored that he encountered divine retribution, and just as all of Huaxia thought he had died, little did they know he returned alive, and slaughtered the Forbidden City magnates and the entire Four-nine City families who invaded his properties thinking he was dead! In the end, even the Forbidden City had to yield to his intimidation, with him specifying the replacements for the vacancies left by the power figures! In short, at present in Huaxia, no one dares to provoke him, no one dares to offend him! In the words of the dignitaries, he has created an era, an era of his own!”
Posturing himself to the Little Heir, the Prince recounted Qin Fan’s deeds one by one.
But the tone of his speech remained tense throughout.
“For such an extraordinary individual to exist in this mundane world? How interesting!”
The young man contemplated with amusement on his face as he listened intently to the Prince’s words.
Originally, when he heard the Prince’s aide mention that an elder from the Training Spirit Clan had no available information like he appeared out of nowhere, he briefly associated it with members from the other three hidden sects.
But after listening to the Prince’s statement, he dismissed this thought.
After all, it was impossible for people from the four hidden sects to renounce their sect like that!
As for Qin Fan, it was even more impossible for him to be a sect member!
No sect member would have the leisure to stir up trouble in the mundane world!
That would be completely devoid of any rational explanation; cultivation, understanding the way, that seemingly unattainable yet close immortal journey was their only destination!
