Chapter 953: Chapter 903: Worse Than an Animal! (Part 1)
Outside the bustling airport.
The kneeling of the middle-aged man and the two children seemed to freeze the air.
Everyone stopped in their tracks and turned to look.
Soon, the murmurs and whispers began.
Yet, in this world where everyone looks after themselves, no one stepped forward to ask questions.
“Mr. Qin, they’re here!”
Chang Yuanyi, who was leisurely strolling out of the airport, suddenly changed his expression when he saw the scene ahead, and said solemnly.
“I see!”
Qin Fan raised an eyebrow and responded lightly.
Then he took long strides towards that scene.
“Qin Fan!”
Behind him, Jiang Yino hurriedly followed after releasing her parents.
“Hmm?” Qin Fan turned back and smiled lightly.
“Don’t be impulsive!” Jiang Yino said with a trace of worry.
“Hmm, I know what I’m doing!”
While speaking, Qin Fan raised his hand and ruffled Jiang Yino’s hair.
Then he strode out.
Concerned about the documents in the wallet, Jiang Yuan and his wife followed hurriedly.
“I’m sorry, I was wrong! The wallet is here!”
As Qin Fan approached.
The middle-aged man kneeling on the ground shivered and stammered.
At this moment, the shadow of panic and unease completely enveloped him.
Qin Fan glanced at the middle-aged man’s trembling hands holding out the wallet.
He slowly crouched down to take it.
Then he turned to hand it to Jiang Yuan, who was rushing over, “Uncle Jiang, check if anything is missing inside?”
“Okay, okay, okay!”
Excitedly, Jiang Yuan quickly checked through it. The money wasn’t important; the main concern was the documents and various cards, which would be troublesome if lost.
“Fortunately, fortunately, nothing’s missing! Not a single thing!”
With the big worry off his mind, Jiang Yuan breathed a sigh of relief and grinned.
“Mr. Qin, what should we do with him?” Watching Jiang Yuan happily pocket the wallet again, Chang Yuanyi looked at Qin Fan and asked seriously.
He shook his head.
He did not respond directly to the question.
Qin Fan crouched down again.
He gently helped up the two bewildered children who looked only five or six years old.
Their clear eyes stared at Qin Fan, as if they still couldn’t comprehend what was happening.
“Have you eaten?”
Smoothing one child’s pants, Qin Fan smiled warmly and asked.
“Brother, we haven’t eaten yet!” The child shook his head, sniffing as he replied a bit clumsily.
“Hungry?” Qin Fan asked again.
“Hungry! But it’s not time to eat yet!” The other child glanced at the middle-aged man kneeling nearby, then looked at Qin Fan with wide eyes.
“Not time yet? What time is it then?” Qin Fan maintained his warm smile, like a big brother.
Hearing this.
The middle-aged man’s trembling became more intense.
“Not until six o’clock, eight in the morning, six at night!” The clumsy child replied instantly without thinking.
“Only two meals a day? What do you eat?”
The anger began to rise in his heart, and Qin Fan forced a smile as he asked.
“Hmm, just buns! Two buns in the morning, three at night, but uncle said if we steal more wallets, we get chicken legs as a reward! But I haven’t had chicken legs for a long time!”
Talking about chicken legs, the child’s mouth watered as he licked his lips.
“Hey, aren’t you that uncle? You, you’re here to hit us? No, no!”
Just as the child finished talking about chicken legs.
The other child looked up and saw Jiang Yuan.
He immediately panicked and hid behind the kneeling middle-aged man, trembling and covering his eyes with his hands.
Seeing this.
Jiang Yuan and his wife, along with the elderly lady, exchanged glances.
Each of their eyes carried a heavy sorrow that they couldn’t avoid.
By now, how could they not understand what’s happening?
“Don’t hit us, uncle made us-!”
Hearing his companion’s words, the clumsy child also panicked.
But before he could finish, he immediately covered his mouth with his hand.
The malnourished little body began to shake uncontrollably.
The bright eyes couldn’t help but fill with tears.
Biting his teeth to suppress the anger that was about to erupt.
Without saying a word, Qin Fan suddenly lifted the child’s shirt.
Whoa-!
When the shirt was lifted.
The entire world fell silent.
Even the onlookers were stunned.
The child’s body was covered with various scars.
Whip marks.
Cigarette burns.
Kicks bruises.
Patches of blue and purple, full of bruises and bloodstains!
“Beast, beast, what a beast!”
Even though she was now sturdy.
The old lady still habitually leaned on her Dragon Head Crutch.
When she saw the child’s scars, she couldn’t help but raise the crutch and stomp it on the ground, shouting with tears in her eyes.
As a woman, as a mother, as a grandmother.
She couldn’t hold back her emotions.
“Did he do this to you?”
Swallowing a few times.
Forcing himself to control his emotions, Qin Fan asked.
“Can’t say, can’t say!” The child shook his head vigorously.
But the glance he gave the middle-aged man was filled with fear.
The meaning was all too clear.
“Does it hurt?”
His throat kept moving, asking a redundant question.
“It hurt a little when I was hit, but not now,” the child nodded and shook his head.
A child, he didn’t know what to say or not to say.
Only those words warned by the uncle would he use the phrase “can’t say.”
It hurt a bit when hit.
Not anymore.
This is such a painfully heart-wrenching thing to hear!
The women in the crowd couldn’t help but shed tears.
Many of them had children, and from a maternal or human perspective, what they saw was a heartbreaking tragedy!
Doing such a thing to such a small child, this is inhuman, a beast, a monster!
No, it’s even worse than a beast!
“Who is he to you? Where are your parents?” Clenching his teeth, Qin Fan tried to control his anger.
“Parents? We don’t know, can’t remember! He’s uncle. Uncle said if we run away, he’d break our arms and legs to make us beggars, so we’re too scared to run! Some children had their arms and legs broken by uncles and were made beggars; it scared me!”
Talking about other children, the clumsy boy became more and more scared.
In his little eyes seemed to be reflected an abyss of darkness!
“It’s okay, don’t be afraid! You won’t become little beggars; no one will break your arms and legs, and no one will force you to steal anymore; you won’t be beaten again!”
Pressing his lips and taking a deep breath, Qin Fan put down the child’s shirt and smiled.
“Really, brother, is it true? We don’t have to steal anymore? No one will hit me? Then—then if I don’t steal wallets, will I still get buns to eat?” The child’s pure nature didn’t include doubt, hearing Qin Fan’s words, he excitedly looked straight at Qin Fan.
“Yes, there will be food! We won’t just eat buns anymore; we’ll have meat buns and chicken legs, as much as you want, whenever you’re hungry!” Qin Fan forced a cheerful reply.
“Yay, Tiger, we don’t have to steal anymore! We get to eat meat buns and chicken legs!”
As he shouted to his companion, the clumsy little guy raised his arm jubilantly.
Just as he finished saying it.
His excitement suddenly halted, remembering the kneeling uncle.
Looking at Qin Fan, he trembled again, “Brother, if I don’t steal wallets, will uncle really not hit me? Will he really give me buns and chicken legs?”
