Chapter : The Iron Maiden Arrives

Three more years had passed since Fafnir entered the black-and-crimson cocoon.

Throughout those years, humanity continued reclaiming its ancient lands and settling them at a steady pace. One city after another returned beneath the human banner, and one village after another began to regain its former life, while human settlements spread across the territories that had returned to their rule after five thousand years.

The process of reclaiming the lands was carried out under the close watch of the other superior races.

Those races did not interfere with the reconstruction of the reclaimed territories, but they closely monitored every development taking place within human lands, keeping track of the growth of humanity’s strength and observing the changes that had taken place within the human race since Fafnir’s return.

Meanwhile, within the continent of Zeta, the renaissance continued without pause.

At the same time, Fafnir remained inside the black-and-crimson cocoon, immersed in a deep coma as the mysterious fusion process continued within his body.

At the borders of the continent of Zeta, high in the sky, space rippled slightly.

Then, a stunningly beautiful dark-skinned woman emerged from the void.

Her ears were long and pointed, clearly revealing her elven identity.

Yet her appearance this time was different from before.

She wore an elegant black dress with a regal design that accentuated both her beauty and her dignity. Her presence was graceful and majestic, and every detail of her appearance reflected her extraordinary status.

It was Griselda.

The legendary Queen of the Elves.

The woman known throughout the superior races by the title of the Iron Maiden.

The moment she appeared at the borders of Zeta, many of the powerful humans in the area sensed her presence.

Among them were cultivators who had reached the Golden Immortal Realm, as well as True Immortals, including the Four Pillars, who represented one of the most powerful forces within humanity.

Yet none of them took any action against her.

They did not attack her.

Nor did they attempt to obstruct her path.

They merely watched her movements closely.

They had immediately recognized her identity.

She was no ordinary woman trespassing into their territory. She was the legendary Queen of the Elves, Griselda.

Moments later, an elderly voice resounded through the sky:

"What do you want by appearing at the borders of our sacred land, Queen Griselda?"

As soon as the voice echoed through the air, space rippled ten meters in front of Griselda.

The void then parted, and an elderly man calmly stepped out, his hands clasped behind his back.

It was Valor.

He stopped before her and silently watched her, waiting for her response.

As Griselda emerged from the void, she sensed dozens of powerful divine senses focused on her.

It was obvious that her every movement was being closely monitored.

Nevertheless, she did not panic.

First, Griselda had already reached the ninth stage of the True Immortal Realm, making her one of the most powerful beings in all of Gandalia.

Second, she had not come to Zeta to cause trouble.

She had come for only one reason.

She had come to meet her husband.

When she heard Valor’s voice, she gave him a faint smile and said:

"We have not met for thousands of years, Great Sage Valor."

Valor replied calmly:

"After the end of the Primordial War, you relinquished your throne and withdrew from the world. That is why we have not met since then, Queen Griselda."

Griselda contemplated his words for a moment.

Then, as though an old memory had resurfaced in her mind, a faint smile appeared on her face.

"Ever since Fafnir disappeared five thousand years ago, life has become boring."

She paused for a moment before continuing:

"I could no longer fight him, so I entered seclusion."

Valor remained silent for a moment.

Then he said:

"You have not yet told me why you are here, Queen Griselda."

Griselda thought for a moment before answering honestly:

"I came to meet Fafnir."

Valor looked at her for a moment before saying:

"I am sorry to tell you this, but His Majesty entered seclusion and has not emerged for three years. We do not know when he will come out, so you will not be able to meet His Majesty."

But Griselda did not appear troubled in the slightest.

Instead, she maintained her confident smile and said:

"That is not a problem at all, old man Valor."

She then looked directly at Valor and added with absolute confidence:

"Once you tell him that his wife has arrived, he will come out of seclusion."

Silence descended for a moment.

Valor did not answer immediately.

Griselda, meanwhile, remained standing calmly at the borders of Zeta, as though she had complete confidence in her words.
