Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Arms Dealer Scott Sutton, Beautiful and Rich Rian Sinclair

The discomfort in her eyes lasted only a moment before Rian Sinclair stepped into the room.

She wore a red dress and stiletto heels, making a crisp CLICK-CLACK sound as she walked across the smooth floor.

Inside, Quentin Sinclair and her other men followed closely behind her to the right. What greeted their eyes was an incredibly luxurious space.

A man in camouflage fatigues sat on a sofa, playing with a handgun. Hearing the noise, he set the weapon aside, stood up, and stared directly at Rian.

He was exceptionally handsome, with sharply defined, strikingly good features. Beneath his strong, slanted eyebrows were a pair of long, narrow, and naturally alluring eyes. Paired with his cold, indifferent expression, those eyes looked absolutely stunning.

He had a tall nose, and his perfectly proportioned lips curved upward in a deeply captivating manner. The man possessed a mysterious aura. The faint, almost imperceptible pressure and murderous intent rolling off him proved he was no ordinary person.

He naturally exuded a subtle aura of... overwhelming dominance.

At that moment, the system’s notification chimed again.

DING!

"Target for spending detected! Appearance rating: 96 points. Meets the spending requirements. Host, please reward him as soon as possible to obtain cashback!"

Rian rested her gaze on his face. He had the classic features of a Westerner, yet not entirely; his overall facial structure leaned somewhat toward a Veridian look.

The man’s gaze was cool. He glanced at Rian and then looked away. The man who had led the way earlier was now standing beside Scott Sutton.

Soon after, Rian heard a deep, magnetic voice. "Shall we sit and talk?"

Rian didn’t hold back. She took two steps forward, sat down, and placed her bag aside. In her red dress, her beauty was unapologetically bold. A sliver of her snow-white calf peeked out, looking almost translucent under the light.

The man kept his eyes on her face, momentarily stunned by her breathtaking beauty. He then sat down as well, casually stretching his long legs and leaning back against the sofa in the most comfortable posture possible.

The limping man who had guided them opened his mouth to speak, but the seated man raised a hand to stop him. Under the subordinate’s confused gaze, the man spoke slowly. "What do you need?"

Rian didn’t answer. She simply took the prepared list from Quentin, placed it on the table, and slid it toward the man sitting opposite her.

The man raised a hand slightly. A subordinate standing nearby picked up the list and handed it to him respectfully. After reading it, the man set it down.

He lifted his eyes to meet Rian’s gaze. "These items aren’t exactly easy to get."

Rian remained silent, and his voice sounded again. "But if the money is right, I can have people prepare them."

Rian’s lips curled into a smile. The items she wanted were not only numerous but also highly varied; an ordinary arms dealer would never be able to handle such an order. "Don’t worry. As for the money, you will definitely be satisfied."

Hearing this, the man looked relaxed. His slightly upturned lips showed that he was in a good mood. "I look forward to the good news."

Seeing that the matter was settled, Rian had no intention of staying any longer. She stood up and gave a slight nod. "A pleasure doing business with you."

"A pleasure."

As Rian picked up her bag and stood, the man who had been sitting comfortably suddenly rose to his feet.

Her people quietly moved to stand beside her, keeping a close eye on his movements.

Rian watched without a word as the man walked toward her, quietly observing his actions. The men beside her had already reached for the small of their backs, maintaining high alert.

At this moment, the tension between the two sides was palpable.

The men on the opposite side didn’t know what Mr. Sutton was planning, but they also reached for their weapons.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary when the man finally stopped in front of her.

Rian frowned. Only when he stood directly in front of her did she realize how tall he was. Even in heels, she had to tilt her head back slightly. The strain on her neck deeply annoyed her.

She took a few steps back, stopping at a comfortable distance, and gave a faint nod.

The man was amused by her little action. It was such a contrasting move for a woman with such an aggressively striking face.

Their eyes met in the air. He was the first to speak. "Care to officially meet?"

Rian looked at the hand he extended. His fingers were long, slender, and powerful. His hands and face certainly suited her tastes, though she wondered about the rest...

She didn’t hide her assessing gaze in the slightest, and the man showed no reaction, simply standing there and letting her look him up and down.

Rian reached out and shook his hand. The pads of his fingers were warm, while her fingertips were slightly cool. Noticing his frame stiffen for a split second, she curled her lips into a smile. "Rian Sinclair."

The man quickly recovered from his momentary stiffness. Casting his eyes down at their joined hands, he spoke in a deep, incredibly sexy voice. "Scott Sutton."

Hearing his perfectly enunciated Veridian, she couldn’t help but ask, "Are you Veridian?"

"I’m of mixed Western and Veridian descent."

Rian smiled without saying a word and withdrew her hand. Scott felt the coolness fade from his palm, along with the soft, delicate touch against his fingertips.

Seeing her pull her hand away, a wave of regret washed over him. He thought how wonderful it would be if this hand could belong to him forever.

Rian’s eyes were cool. Catching the fleeting regret in Scott’s eyes, she didn’t believe it was just ordinary regret. After all, she absolutely refused to believe an arms dealer could be so innocent.

She couldn’t be bothered to guess what Scott was thinking. They were merely in a buyer-seller relationship. She paid the money, and he provided the goods. They both got what they needed.

Scott hid the emotions in his eyes, unaware that she had seen right through them. With a calm expression, Rian took a step back. Five of her men, carrying briefcases, stepped forward and opened them on the table.

"Mr. Sutton, this is the deposit."

The five briefcases were packed with highly enticing stacks of hundred-dollar bills in US Dollars.

Scott didn’t spare a single glance at the money inside. The limping man beside him called over three men to take the briefcases away.

Seeing this, Rian had no intention of lingering. She looked at the limping man, but her words were directed at Scott. "We’ll be in touch."

Scott nodded slightly and waved at the limping man. "Alarin, escort Miss Sinclair out through the main entrance."

Hearing this, Rian glared at Scott. As if sensing her gaze, the man turned his head. Seeing her looking like she wanted to murder him, he smiled brightly. "I sincerely apologize for making Miss Sinclair take the long way around."

Although he said the words, there wasn’t a shred of apology visible on his face.

After hearing that, Rian figured it all out. Taking the side door earlier meant they had walked a massive circle, forcing her to trek down that long, creepy corridor.

"What a wonderful way to treat a guest." She was inherently lazy, so realizing she had been made to walk extra miles naturally ruined her mood.

Scott just smiled and didn’t reply. Rian was glad he kept his mouth shut, otherwise she really wouldn’t be able to resist taking out her gun and blowing his head into a honeycomb.

It wasn’t long before Alarin returned after seeing them out. He stood respectfully beside Scott, who was staring in the direction they had left with a thoroughly amused expression.

Noticing this, Alarin spoke up. "Mr. Sutton, if you’re interested, I can capture her and bring her to you."
