Chapter 164 - 163: It’s Not Just Me Who Made Them, It’s You Too
Chapter 164: Chapter 163: It’s Not Just Me Who Made Them, It’s You Too
As the host continued asking questions, they steered the topic back to Rian Sinclair. Rian raised an eyebrow. Looking at the microphone Quentin Sinclair offered once again, she pursed her lips, but Quentin didn’t back down.
After all, in his eyes, such a relaxed setting was a good opportunity to disobey orders and let the young lady properly unwind.
Seeing his relaxed attitude, Rian smiled and shook her head, then took the microphone from Quentin’s hand.
The host also breathed a sigh of relief. As the camera turned to Rian, she smiled and greeted, "We meet again. Since the host really wants me to say a few words, I’ll take this opportunity to talk a bit more on this stage.
"Everyone knows who I am, so I won’t introduce myself too much. I’m truly happy for the ten of them who made it to the end. They are all young men pursuing their dreams. Despite the many difficulties, they’ve overcome them all.
"And as everyone should know, there is absolutely no fraud in this program. Every single vote is publicly visible. So, it’s not just me who made them who they are today, but all of you sitting here and everyone online who made them who they are."
Immediately after, waves of cheers erupted from the audience. Rian faced the fans with a smile while the ten young men behind her bowed to her, thanking her for creating this talent show and giving them this stage.
This scene was captured by many fans. It was Rian who had given them the stage, and it was Rian who had prevented this show from having any shady dealings, keeping it completely free from the interference of capital.
Rian smiled and raised the microphone again. "Furthermore, every member has passed strict screening. Their pasts are completely clean.
"Therefore, you can boldly and confidently support them, showering them with your love. They will also do their absolute best to become more and more outstanding."
Rian wasn’t just making empty promises to the fans; everything she said was the truth. Every trainee had been carefully selected and had no scandalous dark history whatsoever. Some of them were truly excellent and genuinely worth their adoration. Moreover, Rian could guarantee that their futures would never be ruined by capitalists.
This was Rian’s most solemn promise to these lovely fans.
Rian put down the microphone, leaving the time to them. As she left the venue with Quentin, the System’s voice carried a slight tremble.
"Host, what you said was seriously cool. That was probably the most affectionate confession to the fans."
Rian curled her lips into a smile. That was all she could guarantee, after all. Their ability to shine brightly relied entirely on these lovely little fans backing them. Furthermore, this was the only guarantee Rian could give these little cuties, because she hoped these youths would be worthy of their love and live up to their affection.
Rian and Quentin walked toward the emergency exit. Behind them were the sweating, hardworking youths and the most sincere love of their fans.
Back in the car.
Rian looked outside the stadium. There were still many people standing around; some were gathered together chatting, but most were older individuals. Perhaps they were supporting their children’s hobbies and had come specifically to pick them up.
Rian smiled and rolled up the window, isolating all the noise outside. The vehicle slowly started, turning everything into a blur left behind them.
*Idol Debut* ended successfully, bringing a perfect conclusion for many who had been following the show. Both of the recent variety shows produced by Radiant Entertainment had become massive hits: the first being a show that cleansed the entertainment industry, and the second being the first-ever talent show with zero shady dealings. Both shows had earned their popularity entirely on their own merits.
For a time, many artists were reluctant to appear on Radiant Entertainment’s variety shows, yet they coveted the hot commodity that Radiant Entertainment had become. After all, it offered immense traffic, high popularity, and generous pay—undoubtedly its biggest selling points. However, many artists didn’t dare to participate, afraid that their past misdeeds would be exposed. Temporarily, the entire entertainment industry was plunged into a state of fear and apprehension.
Meanwhile, Rian remained completely oblivious to all of this.
Upon returning to the villa, Auntie Alden had already prepared a table full of food early on. Looking at the spread Auntie Alden had made, Rian didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. It seemed her previous days and nights of non-stop experiments in the lab had thoroughly frightened Auntie Alden.
Her constitution hadn’t been very good to begin with, and her weight had never broken fifty kilograms. Previously, Auntie Alden had finally managed to fatten her up to around fifty-two kilograms, but after three months of experiments, she was right back to square one, dropping below forty-nine.
Thinking of this, Rian recalled the scenes of them trying every possible way to deliver food to her when she had no time to eat. Seeing the feast prepared before her, Rian had no choice but to stomach this heavy love.
Standing to the side, Auntie Alden paid close attention to the young lady’s situation, taking mental notes of the dishes she ate a few extra bites of, planning to focus on those preferences next time.
Rian, who was eating vigorously nearby, was completely unaware. If she had known, she definitely would have stopped Auntie Alden from going all out. Eating this stuff once was already too much; a few more times and she’d genuinely get sick of sitting at this dining table.
After the meal, Rian was a bit stuffed. Looking at her good girl lying at her feet, an idea suddenly flashed through her mind. "Ethan, bring me Bandage’s leash."
Hearing this, Ethan took Bandage’s dog leash out of the cabinet. "You want to walk the dog, Miss?"
Rian took the leash. As she attached it to Bandage, she replied to Ethan, "I just realized I don’t think I’ve ever walked Bandage. She’s grown so big now, so I should take her out to play. As her mom, I need to take some responsibility."
Ethan smiled. "But Bandage is the most clingy to you."
Rian rubbed Bandage’s head as the dog leaned in, constantly nuzzling against her chest. She knew her good girl was clingy, and even though she barely had any time to spend with Bandage throughout the day, she was still number one in her good girl’s heart.
With Bandage’s cooperation, the leash was quickly fastened. Rian had already changed her clothes upon returning to the villa. She wore a tight tank top paired with a form-fitting, cooling sun-protection jacket on top, and a pair of super short shorts on the bottom, revealing long, snow-white legs that made Ian want to reach out and touch them.
Apart from keeping a few designer styles she particularly liked, all of her current clothes were custom-made. Therefore, the sizes fit perfectly, the fabrics were top-tier, and they were incredibly comfortable to wear.
It was already dusk outside, so Rian couldn’t be bothered to apply sunscreen. She just brought a bottle of mineral water and a few plastic bags before heading out.
Bandage was probably thrilled to see her own Mommy taking her out to play for the first time. She was quite excited, but once outside, she didn’t run around wildly. Instead, she stuck close to Rian, looking entirely like a total mama’s girl.
Rian smiled without speaking and led Bandage outside. This was probably her first time strolling through the Imperial Lake Bay estate. In the past, she had always traveled by car and never walked at all. So she was genuinely unfamiliar with the villa area here. She could only watch where Bandage went and simply follow along.
It wasn’t Bandage’s first time out to play, so she knew the way. This route was probably where she usually hung out.
Rian was led by Bandage to a lawn. Watching her good girl sniffing east and running west, she figured this was Bandage’s usual playground. Seeing that there was no one around, she simply unhooked the leash and let Bandage play on her own.
Originally, she had been watching Bandage play, but it didn’t take long before she felt sleepy. She simply sat on a nearby bench, took out her phone, and started scrolling through videos to refresh her mind.
