The Programmer Cultivator
Chapter 636 - 136: The Beginning of Chaos 5
"Bodhisattva, if you are asking about the matter concerning those Five Elements Remnants from before, I happen to know a little, as I have some connection to it."
Pu Hua’s expression flickered. "Oh?" he said.
"It all began when a junior of mine accidentally entered the Five Elements Relics. Through the ensuing complications, I became involved with this person." Elder Huang pointed to the half-formed ball of black mist beside him and said,
"As fate would have it, I’ve run into this little ghost several times. However, I was always using an Ordinary Incarnation, and he is exceptionally slippery, so he managed to get away every time.
This time, I sensed his aura in advance, so I put a bit more power into my arrival.
I never thought he’d still slip away... Hmm... Although, given the little ghost’s current state, I suppose you can’t really say he ’got away’.
Even if I were to return this half of his body, the person who recovers won’t be the same. At least, not entirely."
Pu Hua glanced at the ball of black mist beside Elder Huang. "The Nine Lives Extreme Evil Soul Path is indeed tenacious," he said, "but to have one’s Life Soul and Main Body so brutally torn in two...
The fact that he hasn’t died completely is a testament to this path’s resilience. However, I estimate his consciousness is no longer intact. With a Cultivation at the Three Talents realm, recovery is likely impossible."
Elder Huang gazed at the black mist. "Who knows," he said.
Pu Hua also looked at the black mist. "Benefactor Huang, how do you plan to handle this... thing..."
Before he could finish speaking, Pu Hua’s form wavered.
Elder Huang and Pu Hua both paused. Pu Hua gave a bitter smile. "It seems I won’t be able to hold on until Senior Brother Pu Xian arrives.
This was only a temporary Incarnation created with the Golden Body Relic. It was formed in extreme haste, and the subsequent power drain has been immense. It’s now reaching its limit."
Elder Huang paused for a moment. "I’m in a similar state," he said. "I’m only holding on with a sliver of Spiritual Power myself."
Pu Hua looked at Elder Huang’s form, which appeared as solid as a real body, and was uncertain whether to believe him. After a moment of hesitation, he said, "Benefactor Huang, perhaps you could visit Xuande Temple later? Our two sides could exchange information on the Five Elements Remnants."
Elder Huang paused. "We’ll see about that later. To be honest, I don’t know any more about the Five Elements Remnants than the Celestial Spirit Sect does.
Regarding recent events, anything I know, the Celestial Spirit Sect likely knows as well. And there is much they know that I do not.
Instead of hoping to exchange information with me, you’d be better off trying to communicate with the Celestial Spirit Sect.
Your Xuande Temple is a Blessed Land, and the Celestial Spirit Sect is an Upper Sect. Even if you don’t belong to the same Holy Land, arranging such an exchange shouldn’t be too difficult, especially since it would be mutually beneficial. I, on the other hand, truly have little to offer in an exchange."
Pu Hua paused. "Is that so? In that case, after I return, I will think of a... plan..."
Just then, Pu Hua’s form wavered once more, becoming even more transparent.
"Don’t delay any longer," Elder Huang said, looking at Pu Hua. "If you do, the Golden Relic on your disciple will be destroyed. I must be going as well."
Pu Hua’s illusory form paused. With a sigh, the dim golden light converged at his chest, reverting into a single, lackluster prayer bead.
The tall, golden form slowly shrank, reverting to Huixin’s appearance.
Once he had returned to his own form, Huixin bowed to Elder Huang. "Greetings, Elder Huang!"
Evidently, while Pu Hua’s Incarnation had enveloped him, Huixin had remained conscious and was aware of the events that had transpired.
It was, after all, a protective treasure from an elder, not some control-type Artifact crafted by an old monster. This was a normal outcome; it was even possible that Huixin could perceive Pu Hua’s own sensations.
This would allow Huixin to gain considerable benefits, which aligned well with the philosophy behind the Golden Relic’s creation.
Elder Huang glanced at Huixin and nodded. "You should go. My time is almost up as well. I doubt I can hold out until any rescue parties arrive.
But don’t you worry. That Five Elements Remnant was dealt a blow by the United Force of myself and your Xuande Temple’s Bodhisattva. He shouldn’t be back anytime soon."
Huixin put his palms together again in a respectful bow. "Thank you for your concern, Elder Huang. I understand."
Elder Huang nodded. "Yes, go on. It looks like your group from Xuande Temple has suffered considerable casualties. You must have a great deal to take care of."
Upon hearing this, Huixin bowed again before turning to leave.
Elder Huang scanned the area. Many disciples had survived, but just as many had died. As the escort party, the Bai Shu Sect had been the weakest of the groups, and they had suffered the highest proportion of casualties.
The entire wreckage of the Cyan Feather Green Ship was a hive of activity. But even as the disciples bustled about, many of them couldn’t help but subconsciously glance at Elder Huang, who stood with his hands clasped behind his back, his expression impassive.
"Sigh..." After surveying the scene one last time, Elder Huang gazed at the grim aftermath aboard the Cyan Feather Green Ship and sighed. "These Five Elements Remnants... they truly deserve to die."
With that, Elder Huang took the small ball of black mist and the Filthy Bullet with him and vanished on the spot.
The single Spirit Species that had formed the Bean Soldier dissipated completely. The countless remaining special Spirit Species returned to the room where they had been hiding and coalesced back into the form of Zhang Deming.
Zhang Deming looked at the black mist and the Filthy Bullet. A surge of Spiritual Power wrapped around them, placing them under a temporary seal. With a flip of his hand, he tucked them into his storage pouch, deciding to deal with them after he returned.
’This was my first time using a Bean Soldier as a signal relay for a Mirror Image combined with a Splitting Dao Incarnation. The effect seems quite good. Thanks to the Fusion between the Bean Soldier and the Splitting Dao Incarnation, there was almost no loss in power.’
