The Programmer Cultivator
Chapter 634 - 136: The Beginning of the Turmoil 5
Elder Huang held on. After receiving Pu Hua’s signal, he took a deep breath. All his Bean Soldier Incarnations transformed back into Spirit Species, then re-converged into Elder Huang’s form.
Elder Huang appeared on the wreckage of the Cyan Feather Green Ship. He stood atop the tallest structure among the ruins. A gentle breeze stirred his hair and Daoist Robe. With his hands behind his back and a detached expression, he gazed at the ground covered in Filth Insects.
In the hellish environment, the aloof Elder Huang looked like one of the Immortal Gods.
This image was deeply seared into the minds of the Disciples, who had just experienced a thrilling and perilous escape. They would likely never forget it for the rest of their lives.
Many of the Disciples even began to feel a sort of idol worship, the kind one might have for a hero of the Immortal tales, even though Elder Huang’s hair was already white as snow.
...
Because the Disciples had ascended into the sky, and because Elder Huang stood in a conspicuous spot intentionally releasing his aura, all the various Filth Insects on the ground were drawn to him, converging on his position.
Elder Huang paid no mind to the countless converging Filth Insects. With his hands behind his back, his hair and Daoist Robe fluttering, he spoke in a measured tone:
"Law Order: Enhance Wood Attribute!"
"Law Order: Enhance Bloodthirst!"
As Elder Huang spoke and his Spiritual Power rapidly drained, a strange ripple spread outwards.
In the sky, Pu Hua frowned slightly as he watched the Filth Insects converge. But when Elder Huang began to speak, he was taken aback.
’A Word Cultivator or a Wish Cultivator?’
Before Pu Hua could ponder it further, Elder Huang made his final move.
As the Law Orders took effect, a strange undulation suffused the entire wreckage of the Cyan Feather Green Ship.
By now, the closest Filth Insects were about to reach Elder Huang.
Elder Huang waited no longer. Performing a hand seal for a Technique for the first time, he pressed both hands to the ground, and his Spiritual Power surged wildly.
Custom Rune Technique: Vine Path - Sea of Thorns!
Across more than half of the Cyan Feather Green Ship’s wreckage, countless Jade Spikes abruptly erupted, shooting out like lightning and instantly extending dozens of meters into the air.
Without exception, all the converging Filth Insects were impaled on the Jade Spikes like sausages on a skewer, held in place as they struggled relentlessly.
The view from the ground was not as stunning as the one from the sky. As Elder Huang’s Technique activated, those in the sky saw an ocean of spikes emerge. Their cold gleam flickered with the light of jade—perilous, yet possessing a dreamlike beauty.
"GASP..."
’So this is a legendary Great Cultivator? The power to reshape heaven and earth?’
Many of the Disciples gasped in unison as they watched the scene, their minds racing and their eyes shimmering.
But as Pu Hua watched, his expression suddenly changed. He cried out a panicked warning, "Be careful! These Filth Insects weren’t all born from filth. Some of them seem to have been specially bred! They have Anomalous Power inside them!"
Hearing this, Elder Huang glanced up at Pu Hua. A minuscule smile touched his indifferent face as he said dismissively, "It’s fine. It’s just a bit of Karma, nothing to worry about."
Pu Hua’s expression froze. He stared at Elder Huang in astonishment. He had seen that Elder Huang’s Incarnation only had a Peak Three Talents Cultivation, so he had assumed the man was a Four Symbols Cultivator at best. But this reaction to Karma...
Even he, a Bodhisattva for several thousand years, had to be cautious when facing Karma. Once it entered the body, no matter the amount, it was a colossal problem. A Four Symbols Cultivator couldn’t possibly be this casual...
Elder Huang ignored the astonished Pu Hua. He looked at the field of writhing Filth Insects. Even though each one had been pierced by dozens, or even hundreds, of thorn spikes, not a single one had died. They all just kept struggling.
Furthermore, some of the Filth Insects were emitting wisps of an ominous, cold energy from their bodies, which flowed back along the spikes and into Elder Huang.
Elder Huang paid no mind to the ominous, cold current inside him. Instead, he looked at the Filth Insects and activated his final Technique.
Rune Technique: Bloodthirsty Vine!
As Elder Huang’s Technique activated, most of the Jade Thorn Forest on the ground transformed into Spiritual Light and dissipated into Heaven and Earth.
But the Jade Spikes that had pierced the Filth Insects all turned the color of rubies, shimmering with a strange light.
The Filth Insects, which had been writhing and struggling, quickly went still one by one. The effect of the Bloodthirsty Vine seemed exceptionally good—almost too good.
This was because the Filth Insects’ wounds were already emitting wisps of various energies, attempting to follow the Technique and corrupt Elder Huang.
So when Elder Huang used the Bloodthirsty Vine to drain them, it was like a perfectly matched couple. He barely had to exert any effort. The moment the Bloodthirsty Vine established its draining channels, without him even needing to actively Devour, the entire field of Filth Insects vanished in the blink of an eye.
And a surge of Anomalous Power—mixed with countless foul energies and threaded with wisps of Karma—shot directly into Elder Huang’s body.
Elder Huang’s body stiffened. He managed to suppress the mixed, foul energies, but the Karma within them shot toward the consciousness in his mind, completely bypassing his control.
With a flicker of his Heart Spirit, the Subprogram entrance in his body opened. His consciousness instantly returned to the Spirit Nurturing Space, with the Karma following close behind.
"Karma +1.9!"
Before the Karma could even act up, an editor automatically materialized in the Spirit Nurturing Space, absorbed every last trace of the pursuing Karma, and then slowly faded away.
Once all the Karma was absorbed, Elder Huang returned to his body. With the Karma cleared away, suppressing or expelling the remaining foul energies was much simpler.
After his consciousness returned, Elder Huang opened his palm. A vine sprouted from it, and the foul power within his body was quickly forced out, coalescing into a mottled pellet in his hand.
