Zhao Li Xin thrust Red Lightning into the ground. The moment the sword touched the ground, a powerful wave of energy spread outward, causing the surrounding space to tremble faintly. Red light coursed through the cracked ground like living veins, pulsing ominously beneath the burning battlefield.

Without wasting a second, Zhao Li Xin raised his hand and summoned a piece of clear crystal from his spatial ring, a special crystal from his old world used to create special arrays. The crystal floated slowly above his palm, glowing with a strange crimson light beneath the sea of ??flames.

Then he crushed it in his palm. The crystal shards scattered into the air like shattered stardust. At the same time, Zhao Li Xin formed a hand seal with one hand, his movements swift and precise. The shattered shards suddenly stopped in midair before shining brightly.

A low buzzing sound echoed through the sky.

Moments later, countless runes emerged from the crystal shards and spread outward at terrifying speed, forming a massive barrier that enveloped the Wyverns surrounding the island.

The creatures instantly became restless.

As if sensing the approaching danger, the Wyverns let out furious screeches that echoed across the burning sky. Their enormous wings beat violently against the air before they suddenly dived toward Zhao Li Xin like a raging tidal wave intent on tearing him apart.

Yet Zhao Li Xin did not move. He merely stood calmly amidst the sea of flames while the countless monsters rushed toward him from every direction.

Then slowly, he opened his arms, almost as though welcoming them.

Suddenly, the charging Wyverns froze midair.

An invisible force spread across the battlefield, causing the creatures’ bodies to tremble violently. A second later, agonizing screeches erupted from their throats as the fire essence within them was forcibly ripped out.

Fiery crimson flames burst from the monsters’ bodies like their very souls were being torn away alive. The blazing essence twisted wildly through the air, forming hundreds of streams of fire that illuminated the heavens in blood-red light.

Then, as if drawn by an irresistible force, all of them surged toward Zhao Li Xin at once. The sight was both majestic and terrifying.

The sky seemed to burn a fiery red as countless flames gathered around him, illuminating his cold face under the raging flames.

While the Wyverns let out miserable screams as their massive bodies rapidly withered before falling from the sky one by one, outside the barrier, the remaining Wyverns became increasingly restless.

Their strong wings stirred violent storms across the sky as they circled frantically above the crimson dome. Instinct screamed at them that something inside the barrier was terribly wrong.

One after another, the creatures let out furious roars and slammed themselves against the glowing wall with relentless force, trying desperately to break through.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Each collision caused the barrier to tremble violently, sending ripples of crimson light across its surface like waves upon blood-colored water.

Yet instead of shattering, the energy surrounding the barrier suddenly began to writhe unnaturally. The crimson light twisted like countless living serpents awakening from slumber. Threads of energy slithered across the surface before latching onto the Wyverns’ bodies.

The creatures instantly panicked.

Their massive bodies struggled violently as the crimson energy wrapped around their wings, necks, and limbs like chains forged from living fire. Terrified screeches echoed through the heavens as the barrier began dragging them inward by force.

No matter how desperately they fought, they could not escape.

One by one, the Wyverns were pulled into the barrier like prey being swallowed into the jaws of a monstrous beast.

And the moment they entered, their fate was sealed.

Streams of blazing fire essence were instantly ripped from their bodies and drawn toward Zhao Li Xin. Countless crimson flames surged around him like a raging vortex while the Wyverns withered rapidly before falling lifelessly from the sky.

Zhao Li Xin remained standing calmly amidst the sea of flames. Most of his clothes had already been burned away by the scorching heat, exposing a body covered in blood, wounds, and flickering crimson fire.

Yet he stood unmoving, allowing the violent flames to swirl around him as he continued devouring the fire essence without pause.

Countless streams of crimson light surged endlessly into his body, illuminating his figure beneath the burning sky. The air distorted violently around him, unable to withstand the overwhelming heat radiating from his body.

"More... I want more," Zhao Li Xin hissed, smoke escaping from his mouth as crimson flames flickered within his eyes.

The fire essence continued surging endlessly into his body while the surrounding Wyverns let out desperate shrieks before falling from the sky one after another.

From a distance, Zhao Li Xin no longer looked human.

Standing amidst the raging inferno with blood covering his body and flames coiling around him like living creatures, he resembled a demon reigning at the center of hell itself.

Meanwhile, high above in the sky, Lory watched everything unfold with a pale, anxious expression. Her hands clenched tightly on her side as her heart pounded uncontrollably in her chest.

She knew this was the most crucial stage for Zhao Li Xin. Nothing could distract him now. Not even for a second. Because once the powerful energy within his body lost control, the impact would not only injure him, it could kill him instantly. Fear gripped Lory’s heart as she witnessed the horrific scene below.

One by one, Wyverns fell lifelessly from the sky like flies. Their massive bodies smashed to the ground as the last vestiges of fire essence were forcibly drawn into Zhao Li Xin’s body.

An unnatural stillness suddenly enveloped the battlefield. Even the raging flames seemed to pause for a moment. Amidst the scorched ground, Zhao Li Xin stood motionless amidst a sea of ??flames. Dark purple flames coiled around his body ferociously like a raging dragon, unleashing terrifying waves of heat that distorted the space around him.

But slowly, its color began to change. A faint golden light flickered within the dark purple flames.

At first, the light was weak and unstable, appearing only for a moment before being swallowed back by the darkness. However, as more and more fire essence fused into the eternal flame, the golden light gradually grew brighter.

The purple flames trembled violently.

Then suddenly, a terrifying wave of heat exploded outward.

The dark purple flames shattered like shattered darkness, revealing the brilliant golden flames hidden within. They soared into the sky like a divine eruption, illuminating the entire battlefield with dazzling golden light.

The blazing golden flames danced wildly around Zhao Li Xin’s body, majestic and terrifying at the same time. Unlike the previous ferocious purple flames, these flames carried an ancient and oppressive aura that made even the surrounding air tremble in submission.

From afar, it looked as if a second sun had risen from the earth itself.

The tension on Lory’s face finally eased, "Thank goodness...he made it," she sighed in relief,

Gradually, the terrifying pressure surrounding Zhao Li Xin subsided, and the golden flames burning around her no longer caused the intense instability they had before. A sudden sense of relief flooded Lory’s chest, almost depriving her of all her strength. Now, Zhao Li Xin only needed to meditate to regulate her newfound strength.

Lory thought she would just have to guard against it from now on untill he was done. Sadly, her hope was short-lived.

From afar, a deafening roar suddenly erupted in the sky, followed by a strong gust of wind that hit her with incredible force, strong enough to nearly knock her back.

Fortunately, Lory reacted quickly. She crossed her arms in front of her as a protective barrier hastily formed around her. Even so, the violent impact sent tremors through her entire body.

Not long after, a massive figure slowly emerged from the distance. At first, it was nothing more than a dark shadow concealed within the raging storm, but as it drew closer, its enormous form became clearer and far larger than anyone had imagined.

Its colossal wings beat violently against the wind, each powerful flap unleashing terrifying shockwaves that caused the surrounding sky to tremble.

The creature possessed the face of an eagle and the body of a lion, its golden feathers blending seamlessly into dark crimson fur.

From its head rose two massive black horns that curved upward like blades determined to pierce the heavens themselves. Its crimson eyes burned fiercely beneath the storm, radiating an overwhelming aura of destruction.

Lory recognized the beast immediately, and her expression darkened at once.

"Balrog..." she breathed heavily, her voice filled with disbelief and dread.

Compared to the hundreds of bael Wyverns, this creature was just as dangerous.

Lory clicked her tongue in annoyance, opening her arms as a brilliant light gathered around her before the Trinity Staff appeared in her grasp. The weapon shone brightly before transforming into a magnificent bow.

Hovering amidst the raging storm, her white wings spread majestically behind her, Lory slowly drew back the bowstring.

As her fingers gripped it, the surrounding winds began to howl furiously, swirling around her like a gathering storm.

Countless air currents converged toward the arrow, compressing into a terrifying force that caused the atmosphere to tremble.

Then, she released it!

The arrow instantly expanded into a giant spear of light that streaked across the sky at terrifying speed, so sharp it seemed capable of slicing through the air itself. A deafening sonic boom erupted behind her as the projectile pierced through the storm like divine judgment.

In the blink of an eye, the giant spear struck the Balrog squarely in it shoulder.

The giant beast staggered before letting out a devastating roar that shook the heavens. Its blood-red eyes were fixed directly on Lory.

Lory narrowed her eyes coldly. ’Good. Now she had its attention.’

The moment their gazes met, the Balrog released a deafening screech that shook the heavens. A violent shockwave tore through the sky toward her, but Lory’s giant white wings instantly crossed before her protectively, shielding her from the impact.

Silver feathers fluttered wildly amidst the raging wind as the shockwave crashed against her wings. When the violent tremors finally subsided, her wings slowly unfolded once more.

Lory lifted her chin, her gaze sharp and fearless. "Come get me," she smirked.

Lory deliberately led the Balrog away from the island, drawing the enraged creature deeper into the distant skies.

She could not let the battle take place near Zhao Li Xin.

Because she knew him too well.

The moment Zhao Li Xin discovered she was fighting alone, he would abandon everything without hesitation just to protect her, even if it meant interrupting his cultivation at the most dangerous moment, and Lory didn’t want that to happen.

Unlike Gifted people, cultivators built their strength little by little, step by step, like constructing a towering building brick by brick. Once the foundation collapsed, everything they had painstakingly achieved would crumble along with it.

And Lory refused to let Zhao Li Xin risk that. Not when she knew full well how hard he worked to get where he is right now. Thus, she continued luring the Balrog farther away until the island below disappeared behind layers of dark clouds.

Only then did she finally stop.

Lory turned around slowly in midair, her enormous white wings spreading wide against the storm-filled sky. Wind currents spiraled violently around her figure while the Balrog descended toward her with murderous intent blazing in its crimson eyes.

The next second, Lory shot forward like a streak of light. At the same moment, the Balrog lunged toward her with a furious roar. Their powers collided instantly.

The sky was violently as terrifying waves of energy exploded through the clouds. Wild whirlwinds tore across the sky, twisting the atmosphere into chaos while thunderous pressure spread endlessly through the air. ℴ𝗆

Fortunately, far below the storm-covered heavens, Zhao Li Xin remained deep in meditation, completely unaware of the fierce battle raging beyond the clouds, at least for now.
