Chapter 2195 Look At Me Brother
Chapter 2195 Look At Me Brother
Eos did not think he could stop Enoch from collecting his Origin power alone; he knew that the Great One had given the Luminious another power, Lumina, and although this power, like the sheer accessibility of Origin, was still undoubtedly powerful.
Still, how could he claim to be Origin if someone as perverse as Enoch was able to utilize his power freely?
Even though he knew what he did would not kill Enoch and may end up even strengthening his enemy, it needed to be done.
If he allowed Enoch to still hold the power of Origin, then it was giving his enemy a key into his defenses that could destabilize the fight.
Defending against Enoch would require him to spend more resources to defend against his Origin powers, and even though he appeared to be very powerful at the moment, his foundation was still shaky and could be broken if the right kind of force was exerted.
Eos took a step back and readied himself for what was to come as End began to scream and transform.
The new form was like a black hole, dragging bits and pieces of unknown fragments from the entirety of the Great Void, and in the distance, a massive structure appeared, the Eternal Tower.
Just like Eos had a massive tree behind him, the Eternal Tower had appeared behind Enoch as he was slowly becoming what he was bred to be, not Luminious Transformation, but Luminious End.
This was always the plan.
Every Luminious was to converge into a single being, and although the fate of that being was unknown after the convergence, what was undoubtedly the outcome of this process was great authority.
Although Origin was a great source of power for Enoch and a potent weapon to harm Eos, now that he was freed of it, he could truly assume the power of End.
The pull from the black hole was so powerful that the pillar of origin power that was nearly fully consumed by the Origin Tree began to shatter, and pieces of it were drifting towards the black hole.
Eos frowned and reached towards the drifting essence of Origin, discovering that it held pieces of Enoch’s mind that were pure and untainted.
Just because Enoch was evil, it did not mean that at one time, a part of him was not good, and all of that goodness was what was taken by him.
However, like Origin, Enoch was pulling all parts of himself to him, and if not for Eos’s intervention, this part would have returned to that black hole.
Eos dragged back his hand, and the Origin Force in the center of his palm let out a pained cry, because it was like it was stuck between an unstoppable force and an immovable object.
“You will have to kill me, Eos, you cannot save me from myself,” the Origin of Enoch said, “The wound is too deep, and corruption is too complete. Even though you have brought out this side of me, it does not change the fact that I am the end, Eos. I have always been the end. And the end does not choose. The end simply is. I…do not deserve to exist, not in your Origin. Kill me and end him so that in nothingness, I can have peace.”
Eos nodded, and he was about to crush the Origin. Still, he became surprised when, under the strain of Enoch’s pull, the Origin of Enoch gathered its strength and reforged a body of Origin that resembled Enoch’s Luminious form, but this one was slightly different.
And that slight difference was everything because in his eyes was kindness and determination.
“I have spent all my life a monster; let me die on my feet.”
Saying that he took just one step forward, and that step caused his body to begin to crumble.
He took another step towards Eos and held out his broken hand, as if he was reaching for the warm light of Origin and the vast tree.
“Beautiful,” he murmured, and he collapsed to his knees, his body too broken, but he pushed himself forward, and that was his final step… the Origin of Enoch vanished forever. Eos looked down at his empty hand, an unknown emotion flitting past his eyes.
The only part of Enoch that was worth saving was dead, and with his death, there was no reason to take the being that was emerging from the black hole of End as nothing more than a thing to be butchered.
Soft roars came from behind him, and Eos did not have to turn around to know that his serpents had been reborn, like butterflies emerging from their cocoons; each of his Origin Ouroboros had taken new shape.
However, their shape was chaotic as if they had not yet fully decided on the form they were going to wear.
Eos glanced at them and nodded, “There would be time to choose the forms that would be most comfortable for you, but for now…”
He gestured with his left hand, and his Destroyer rippled out from his skin, reforged with the bones of Existence and bathed in Eos’s supreme blood. The blade had become more than a weapon, and it returned to the receptacle that was its original design.
“All of you, enter my blade. It is time I kill End.”
The six Origin Behemoths behind him drifted into the glowing blade, and their chaotic bodies became etched on it like tattoos that did not stop moving.
He looked up from his blade, and Enoch was waiting for him.
The form he had taken was that of a man like Eos, but everything about him was blinding white, as if he took a white sun and forged himself from its core.
Enoch’s head was cocked to the side as if he were observing Eos, and he spread his hands wide, and his voice echoed oddly, as if there were two people speaking at once,
“Look at me, brother… Am I not the most beautiful being you have seen?”
