The Primordial Record

Chapter 2183 One Last Push

Chapter 2183  One Last Push

All of Existence began to fracture as the first Luminious stepped into it, but it was not over, and it was only the beginning.

Luminious Veil had lived many times longer than Enoch, Luminious Transformation, and in that time, she had made many Agreements with powerful Luminious, and up to this moment, she had won all of them.

To delay the moment that fusion would occur in order to obtain as many Luminious as possible, she had not consumed the Luminious she had won over; she only killed their spirit, making them empty vessels of power.

If she had consumed all this power, Luminious Veil would have gone insane at best and perished at worst.

She was not like Luminious Transformation, who seemed capable of absorbing so much power of End without losing himself.

The difference between the three core Luminious and the others was the simple fact that their bodies could hold much more End than any of the others.

However, Luminious Transformation vastly exceeded the capacity of Luminious Veil, and he was not leaving the pieces of the Luminious in the void between Existences; instead, he was calling them to him.

The second Luminious entered Existence, and it was a being of frozen light, its form a glacier of moments that had never happened, possibilities that had been stillborn, futures that had been murdered.

His name was Luminious Stillness, and he had been waiting in the silence after the last sound, patient and hungry.

The third to be drawn into Existence was a being of burning absence, her form a fire that consumed without heat, a hunger that could never be satisfied.

Her name was Luminious Emptiness, and she had been feeding on the void between Existences, growing fat on the nothing that remained after everything ended.

The entirety of Existence began to crumble, and when it seemed as if it was about to be destroyed by the force entering inside of it, it was somehow converted into a force of expansion.

This would not have happened with the previous Existence, but now, with a budding soul growing inside of it, certain changes could be made to protect the lives that were in it.

All of these changes could not have escaped the sight of Enoch, but he did not seem to care; no matter how much expansion would help existence if all life inside of it were killed and all of its Origin conquered.

It was not as if he was even focused on Existence at the moment. Enoch knew that there was nothing that could stop him, and so he was more concerned with feeding his appetite.

The fourth Luminious to be drawn into Existence was a being of tangled time, his form a knot of moments that had been looped and twisted until they could not be unraveled.

His name was Luminious Paradox, and he had been hiding in the contradictions that End could not resolve, safe in the certainty of uncertainty.

Finally, there was the last Luminious, and he was a being of weeping stone, his form was a statue of grief that had been carved from the tears of a million dead Existences, and was one of the oldest Luminious. His name was Luminious Sorrow, and he had been waiting for this moment since the first life was born and the first death followed.

Five Luminious who had been placed in the darkness, waiting for the moment when the core would call them home.

And Enoch was hungry.

Inside the Eternal Tower, Chronomancer Prime sat cross-legged, surrounded by the last Incarnations of Eos, all three hundred of them, and they were all pouring their strength into him as he struggled to shatter the binding curse placed upon his eye by Luminious Silence.

It would have been easier if Luminious Silence had been killed, but a moment back, when very Incarnation was tearing his concept to pieces, they all felt a surge of danger approaching, and they stopped killing Luminious Silence; they only shattered him into three hundred pieces, and those pieces were placed inside the heart of each Incarnation.

This was essentially a stopgap to delay the recovery of Luminious Silence, as the surge of danger they had felt before they tried to kill Luminious Silence only meant that the Incarnations were too weak to carry the Karma of Luminious Silence’s death, and the only way forward was to give this karma to their main body.

What would be the consequence of killing a Luminious? The Incarnations did not know this answer, although they could guess, but whatever those consequences were, they knew Luminious Silence could not die by their hand, especially inside this place, the Eternal Tower.

However, splitting Luminious Silence apart was not useless; they were able to begin studying the structure of a Luminious, and they were able to pull out the hundreds of Incarantions that were buried under the cloak of silence.

The only Incarnation that was not helping Chronomancer Prime free itself of this barrier of Silence was Primordial Path, who had been sent to find a way to leave the Tower, and he soon came back with good and bad news.

With the effortless means of communication behind the Incarnations, they knew everything about what Primordial Path had found out, and they did not need to share it with Prime because he paused what he was doing and opened his one eye that was now red and filled with purple lightning due to running his power on overdrive for what felt like forever now.

“You have found the way to leave this place, right?” The Incarnations nodded as one, which was an odd thing to see, knowing that while they were all connected, each of them was a unique individuals, and yet the ties that bind them were so strong due to their common roots that all of them were just mirrors of Eos.

“But there is bad news,” Prime whispered, and then he chuckled, “I think I know what it is, that bastard Silence was digging into me for a while, but a part of me was able to see inside of him, and there are things I now know to be the truth.”

He sighed, and he brought his hand up and circled the construct of silence on his left eye, gripping it tight. He inhaled and exhaled forcefully, “One last push, there is only one chain left.”
