The Primordial Record

Chapter 2041 Future Plans For Defense

Chapter 2041  Future Plans For Defense

Eos had bought them time to develop because he knew that they would never be able to fight against the darkness of Limbo; their enemies were too powerful, and only inside the Origin Realm, where the ceiling of power was fixed, and the enemies could not display their greatest strength, did they have any chance of victory.

Victorious Genesis hated this truth, and if there was one thing that kept him up at night, it was that without the presence of the Grand Creator, none of them would have a chance.

It just did not seem fair that they could cultivate to the peak of Existence and yet find out that there were certain aberrations that saw that limit and just… did not care about it.

The Ancient Primordial had devoured countless number of Realities, accumulating so much Origin Forces in their bodies, that simply considering the amount of Origin Essence flowing through their veins was staggering.

Recall that each Origin Essence in the body of a Primordial would grant them a layer of defense that was invulnerable to anything below the Primordial level, and so if Victorious Genesis was given an eternity to strike against any of the Ancient Primordials, even if given forever, he would not be able to harm a single hair on their head.

This sort of power was not the kind you could ever cultivate to acquire; it was simply the vast gap that existed between lifeforms like the Ancient Primordials and everyone else.

Victorious Genesis could still recall what Eos had said to them when he welcomed the births of the Third Generations of Primordials, and one of the New Primordials, the Primordial of Divine Onslaught, who was once a powerful Titan, had asked Eos if their powers were not enough to ever challenge the Ancient Primordial.

He still remembered how Eos had sighed and said, “This knowledge was one that I had kept from you all for so long, but the Origin Realms had proven to be a great shield against Limbo, and so I can tell you some of the secrets behind Existence.”

The Primordial of Divine Onslaught had chuckled nervously, “You say that as if it would kill us just to know this secret.”

Eos was silent for long enough that the nervous laughter from the Titan faded, and an awkward look flashed across the Primordials here.

“What many of you fail to realize is that the Origin Realms are so complete that they are no longer connected to Existence as you know it, and so certain rules and laws can be made here that cannot exist in Limbo, because of a great evil power that I cannot name at this point. I can tell you the name here, and it would not affect you, but that would change if you were to leave the Origin Realms. Knowledge of its name would draw its attention to you, and none of you here would survive its touch.”

Eos snapped his fingers, and a dull thumping sound spread across the gathering, and every Primordial felt a surge of energy enter their heads, clearing the sudden fog that had slowly covered their minds.

This was when a chill settled in all their hearts. Eos had not even told them the name of this Great Evil, but a part of them recognized it, and their souls were running away from that knowledge.

“You ask me why you cannot challenge the Primordials with your present strength, and I will tell you your answer: it is because, technically, the beings you call Ancient Primordials are not truly Primordials; their roots lie with an Ancient power called the Luminious, and I also share the same roots as them.”

Eos gestured, revealing the entirety of Limbo to them, and even with their powerful consciousness, they could not see everything at a glance, and it would take months of careful and total concentration to see everything he had just displayed with the wave of his hand.

“You know of Existence as Limbo, and even as Primordials, you see Limbo as a true infinity, and that is the truth, by the actions of one of our enemies in the past, Limbo would continuously expand until a point that not even I would be able to see all of it at a glance, and I fight to see that day become a reality, because if it happens, true freedom would be gained. Now, the reason I showed you this is to tell you that Limbo, Existence, as you know it…is not the first.”

From that moment, bombshell after bombshell was dropped by Eos, and even though they knew he was not telling them everything, what he told them caused a chill to pour down their spines.

There were some of them who, after reaching the ranks of Primordia,l wanted to slow down and enjoy their invincibility for a while, but they knew now that Primordials were not the highest beings to ever exist, their life force was tied to Existence, and if Existence ends, so would they.

However, there was once a race whose lives transcended Existence, and although they did not leave their mark across the endless Eras, just one of them that went insane had reshaped all Existence in a manner that could never be truly understood.

Victorious Genesis suddenly looked up, aware that he had been lost in thought for a long time, “Is that all you came to show me, Sumek?” he asked the Old One, who shuddered and replied,

“Lord Victorious Genesis, preliminary plans for the defense of the Origin Realms have been approved by all the Halls of Memory and will soon be sent to the Grand Creator, but a review from every Primordial is needed. This would be the first draft, and it would go through ninety-nine review processes before being submitted to the Grand Creator.”

“Ninety-nine?” Victorious Genesis frowned, “How long would that take?”

The Old One squirmed a bit, “We are working as fast as we can, but this draft should be ready in thirteen million years.”

Victorious Genesis growled, “Too long, it should be completed in nine million years before the next Great Incursion, so it can be stress tested. I will not permit a half-baked plan to reach the hands of the Grand Creator.”

“Of course,” the Old One bowed, “Shall we begin?”
