The Primordial Record

Chapter 1804: The Curse(1)

Chapter 1804: The Curse(1)

Telmus did not know what to make of Rowan.

Telmus walked into a large room that could be seen as a garden, and he found Rowan and Eva relaxing by a pool of water, flowers and small animals surrounding them, moving around without fear, and even though he had seen many things in his life, Telmus was stuck in place, amazement in his eyes… he had never seen a being more beautiful in all his life.

In his battle in the Arena, Rowan had not shown his true form. His wings and crown were hidden, and his features were meant to look the same as they were before he became an Apex Omniversal Titan.

Now that he had the time to relax, he wore a loose white robe with seven white sashes around him, which floated in the air as if carried by an invisible breeze. His long red hair was splayed around him, merging with the black hair of Eva.

She said something to him that Telmus could not hear, and whatever she said made Rowan grin. Beside him, his daughter stumbled.

“You know, only say the word and I shall find a way to arrange your marriage with him, daughter. In all of Reality, I doubt there can be any better option than him.”

Staff gritted her teeth, “Say that again, old man, and I shall pull out your tongue. He stood aside and watched the man I wanted perish; the only reason I remain with him is because of his vision and for your safety. I will not allow him to place you in danger.”

Telmus looked at her and smiled, “Then defend me properly, daughter, because the way I feel about him at the moment, I will leap into hell if he asks me to.”

Seeing her chagrined expression, Telmus burst into laughter and walked towards the trio ahead, who turned towards him, having heard his loud outburst

Once more, Telmus felt a sense of wonder when he looked at Rowan, especially now that Rowan had focused his eyes on him.

Describing this enigmatic figure should be relatively simple, at least it should have appeared that way, but when Telmus began to dig deeper than the surface, he became lost.

Where could he begin?

Telmus did not believe he had ever met Rowan when he was an Earth God in Trion, but now, he could see the threads of Fate that linked them together, going far back before he was born.

He could see the connection he had with the Primordials when they built his body, his link to the bloodlines of Trion and hence Rowan… and so many possibilities flowing across the surface, and if he could only go deeper… ᴡ ᴏᴠʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛʀs ᴀʀ ᴘᴜʙʟsʜᴅ ᴏ novèlfire.net

“I see you are acclimating yourself with the Wills of my family, Telmus,” Rowan’s voice dragged his attention away from the dazzling threads of fate that had enraptured Telmus. “Tell me, what do you think of their Will?”

Walking over to them, Telmus settled beside the pool and dipped his toes in it. Satisfied with the temperature, he fully submerged his legs, and he sighed, “Unity, Sacrifice, Justice, Faith, Endurance, Hope, and Growth… I have no idea how the combination of all these Will, paired with my Will of Endless Victory, can make me into this new creature, but I suspect that was not your original plan.”

Rowan’s eyes widened a bit, and he gave a slight nod of acknowledgment. “Yes, you were my last choice for this elevation. I had something else planned for you, but even I cannot decide where all the pieces would fall. You did not answer my question: What do you think of them?”

“What is there to think?” Telmus shrugged, “I am not yet complete. Inside me, there is a void that needs to be filled, but something holds back my power from completion. Tell me, Rowan, do you fear that you cannot control me? Is this why you don’t want my elevation to be completed and keep me as a Nascent Primordial? Or are you still waiting for your first choice to take the mantle?”

Eva looked at Rowan in surprise; she appeared not to know all the intricacies behind Rowan’s decision and was not aware that Telmus had not fully taken his place as the Primordial of Defiant Ascension.

Rowan looked at Staff, who was seething with suppressed anger before looking back at her father, “This power was meant for my son Andar, but he was taken from me before he could come of age, and the void in your heart was not meant to protect me from you, but to protect you from them.”

He pointed above, allowing Telmus to finally see the faces of the seven Primordials pressed against the walls of Reality.

“To become a being of Origin, to fully take your position as a Primordial, that power needs to find root in the essence of your being. Only then will you be complete; however, this Reality is too weak to handle the birth of a Primordial. If you were allowed to fully inherit this power, your daughter and all of Reality would be destroyed, and those faces out there would no longer be faces; they would be Primordials whose Origin Force. However, singular had grown to ridiculous heights after the countless Eras they had spent hunting Realities inside Limbo.”

Telmus became silent and touched his heart, knowing that everything Rowan said was the truth. He had previously suspected this answer, but he needed to be sure, and Telmus was not one to hide his intentions from anyone, not even Rowan.

“Now, if I want to control you, I will bring you to my realm,” Rowan said, “unlike this Reality, my walls are thick, and it is still hidden from the sight of the ravages outside. In there, you can ascend to the ranks of Primordial with no issues, but the Origin Force you draw upon would come from me and not Limbo, and although you may gain freedom from whatever curses are outside Limbo, your Origin shall ever be linked to my own. This is your decision to make; that is why I left that void inside of you.”

Telmus frowned, “What do you mean by curses?”

“Have you ever wondered why Primordials are, to put it lightly, insane?” Rowan asked.
