The Primordial Record

Chapter 1694: Drown In Fear

Chapter 1694: Drown In Fear

Rowan knew that this level of fusion might bring about unexpected changes; after all, he was fusing concepts that were at the ninth-dimensional level, but he had not expected that it would bring about changes that were so… unexpected.

This was just the first set of fusion. Even though he was not expecting another set of changes as sweeping as this one, the rest would surely give him unexpected surprises, and after all of it was done and he evolved his class one more time, what would he become?

As Rowan was deliberating on these changes, something was nagging at the back of his mind when he saw the overall abilities of this new title, because some of its abilities overlapped with his other Supreme Titles.

Checking the Primordial Record, he saw that his suspicions were correct; all of his Titles and even the numerous lesser titles that could not be listed because they were below the Supreme level were all gone.

His new physique had swallowed them all.

Rowan did not think that this was much of a loss, as he did not lose out in any way; instead, he had skipped countless eras of refinement that would take to master all of these abilities and fuse them into a single whole.

There were certain drawbacks that would arise from skipping over the process of mastering all these abilities, because Rowan would have to slowly figure out all of the powers of being an Apex Omniversal Titan, but for someone with his level of comprehension, this was not a serious drawback.

He had been able to buy enough time in this space, and if he could not master his abilities in the millions of years that were left for him, Rowan would strike his head against a block of cheese to kill himself.

He briefly lamented the loss of Plane Shaper, Chaos Breaker, Primordial Titan, Realm Forger, Dread Harbinger, and Forst Born; still, he knew they were all a part of what he had become.

Rowan’s mind flashed over to the space underneath Oblivion, and he wondered if, by just these changes as an Apex Omniversal Titan, he could enter that place?

There was no need to put the cart before the horse; Rowan still had more fusion to do, and since the base of his physique was ready, and he had spent a total of two hundred and fifty thousand years for this ascension alone, he needed to focus on the next.

After finishing all of his fusion and ascension, then he could begin practicing and adapting to his new body.

The next fusion Rowan decided upon was his Aspect Fusion, and he picked Berserker and Laments of Celestials. He carefully selected this option over fusing Light Devourer and Time Wanderer, Space Breaker, and Realm Weaver.

With the example of the first fusion devouring the remaining titles, Rowan knew that any Aspect fusion he selected first would devour the rest of his Aspects.

Of all of his Aspects, Berserker and Laments of Celestials were the few that did not overlap with the abilities he could gain from being an Apex Omniversal Titan, and most of all Rowan had always favored the combat abilities of the Berserker, and most of his fighting techniques were born from the Berserker Arts, not to mention that his Reflections were born from taking apart some of the mysteries of this art.

However, as time went by, the Berserker Arts had become too weak for him to utilize effectively in battle, and Rowan had left it behind, but now there was a chance for it to be resurrected into something that would shake all of existence.

He did not forget that although his Berserker Arts should be a low-level technique, the Primordial Record had still insisted on keeping this technique and disregarded all the countless powerful techniques Rowan had mastered over the years.

What this suggested to Rowan was that even though the Berserker Arts were not very powerful, their potential was so great that even the Primordial Record still chose to keep them over the countless powerful techniques mastered by him.

Rowan was willing to sacrifice the dominion of his remaining Aspects while keeping his Berserker Arts and the Laments of Celestial as the core.

Laments of Celestial possessed powers that could significantly suppress the power of Light, and if Rowan could enhance this power, then he would have a sure-fire method to deal with one of the Primordials, and there was nothing stopping this power from being able to affect other Primordials.

His other Aspects would not vanish; their powers would only boost these two, and Rowan was firm in his decision.

All of the reasons for choosing Berserker and Lament of Celestial came from cool calculation, but Rowan’s choice was firmly decided by one thing: his rage and his promise.

Berserker Art and Lament of Celestial were born from his wrath. Rowan could see no better way to channel his rage than to focus them on a technique that could properly channel his anger.

Rowan knew that if this Aspect were completed, there were few who would be deserving of its wrath, but the Primordials… they were worthy of the horror of this technique.

“Primordial Record, heed my command, fuse Berserker and Lament of Celestial,” Rowan commanded.

Inside his body, Rowan began to feel spots of heat erupting from the hidden places in his dimensional flesh. He would have never been able to sense this happening before he became an Apex Titan, but now he could trace all the power Aspects flowing across his body and converging towards his chest.

Observing all of his varied Aspects with fascination, Rowan suddenly detected a feeling of danger, and his eyes widened a moment in surprise before he realized that the sense of danger was coming from the Aspects all heading towards a single point in his chest.

“Oh, this is bad… a good thing I have a good physique, let me brace for…”

“Boom!”

Rowan held his head and groaned in pain before he gritted his teeth, refusing to let any sound escape from his mouth. His torso began to glow red as if it were metal being rapidly heated, but apart from this, his body did not have any other adverse reaction.

Rowan had no time to praise his foresight because it was his mind that was being bombarded by this fusion; his dimensional soul, as it turned out, was falling far behind his power of the flesh, and if not for his body soaking up a greater portion of the damage, his soul would have collapsed.

Red smoke began to pour out of Rowan’s nostrils, and he could hear cries of rage and despair inside the smoke as if this were the bloody remnants of a shattered Reality.

His eyes turned red as a wave of bloodlust so terrible it created a sea of bloody screaming skulls around him that began to sing in a haunting tone.

Celestials were the creator of music, and when they lamented, their voices could shake an epoch. The bloody rage of the Berserkers being fused with these lamentations was an abomination that should never have occurred, and before long, the entirety of Rowan’s body was covered by a sea of bloody skulls whose mournful music would have drowned a Reality in fear and madness.
