The Primordial Record

Chapter 1692: The Reality Crown

Chapter 1692: The Reality Crown

As far as he could tell, the secret about his status as a nascent Reality was only known by Primordial Soul, and maybe Primordial Time, because if the rest of the Primordials knew of his status, he doubted they would allow him the time to develop.

Still, it would not really matter if the Primordials knew of his status as a nascent Reality, when many of the things he could accomplish had faintly exceeded the capabilities of any Reality.

In this space where only time and space existed, he had four million years to play with, and if his calculations were correct, barely a year would pass by in real time.

This technique was powerful, but Rowan could only use it inside of Reality instead of his Origin Land due to the weakened nature of this Reality’s space. If he had tried the same technique inside his Origin Land, then he would have barely gained a thousand years of time.

Satisfied that the basic preparation for his elevation was completed, Rowan confirmed that this space, devoid of any laws, could cause any unknown disruption in his bodily functions, and concluded that it was impossible.

An immortal might go insane inside this space after a short while with the absence of any laws apart from space and time, but Rowan had no such issues, and he could perfectly live and even thrive in such a space.

With his last issue settled, Rowan closed his eyes, and for the first time in countless millions of years, he slept.

It had been a while since he had slept, and even though it was not needed, some part of him, which even his immortal nature could not fully fathom, was weary.

Rowan would like to think that he carried all of his parts from the mortal to the immortal portions, and in times like these, his mortal side, which had been suppressed for so long, still needed sustenance.

A thousand years later, Rowan opened his eyes and began the fusion process immediately. Even while asleep, a portion of his mind had been deliberating on the expected outcome from his fusion, and he picked his base first.

“Primordial Record, attend to me,” Rowan gave a mental command, “I accept the fusion of Reality Shaper and Supreme Ancient Collosi.”

His words were like a bomb dropped inside a tranquil pool. At first, there was silence, and then his entire body shuddered before loud tearing noises erupted from his flesh.

Rowan groaned in pain as a cascade of information poured into his mind. For the first time ever, he was able to follow the actions of the Primordial Record as it elevated his flesh.

He could sense the Primordial Record reaching into the depths of history, through countless eras of time that baffled Rowan’s comprehension, and it pulled inspiration from all of it, and then coupled with Rowan’s impressive foundation as both a Supreme Ancient Collosi and a Reality Shaper… something new was born.

There had been Reality Shapers in the past, as well as Supreme Ancient Collosi; however, there had never been a melding of both.

Destruction ravaged not only Rowan’s body but his mind as well, a Reality Shaper controlled dimension as easily as breathing. At the same time, an Ancient Collosit treated their bodies as sacred dimensions, utterly indestructible and unchangeable.

Their nature was separate and inviolable, and for any fusion to occur, only a Singularity like the Primordial Record, and an insane physique like Rowan’s could foster it.

In the process of this fusion, there were a million failures. His body, however, could accommodate these failures and learn from them, but it was not all for naught, as the Primordial Record rapidly eliminated all the wrong paths and surged towards the correct one.

Rowan watched this process in fascination, not caring about the pain of his body being brought to the brink of destruction and beyond.

His mind went blank for a moment before returning, and Rowan realized that he had just exploded into pieces a moment before. Even his flesh, which was on the verge of becoming a Reality, could not withstand the collision of such impossible forces.

It did not take long for Rowan to understand that a title like Supreme Ancient Collosi or Reality Shapers was given to Realities and other impossibly powerful immortals who may be roaming in Limbo.

Time flowed like water, as thousands of years went by in a blink of an eye. Rowan’s body kept exploding under the strain of this transition, but with every time this occurred, what emerged was different and stronger.

Rowan was also amazed that the fusion between these titles was beginning to accelerate his acquisition of Space Origin.

The time when he could make great leaps in power in a few seconds was gone. Sure, he could become powerful during battle with his comprehension, but Rowan was not really getting stronger; he was just excavating his latent potential and utilizing his strength in the most efficient manner.

Even if he could reach the ninth-dimensional level in a thousand years, this was not truly growth. His bloodlines and talents made it easy for him to get to the ninth-dimensional level, but there was a difference between his latent potential and upgrading his capabilities.

At this point in his development, his growth was not covered in centuries or millennia, but in billions of years. If he wanted to step outside of his potential, that would cost time and resources.

Pleased with this unexpected benefit, Rowan continued his observation of the process, watching the core of his physique being cleansed and changed on the fundamental level, until the changes overwhelmed his consciousness and he fell into slumber.

During his slumber, great changes were ongoing all over his body, as he was broken and rebuilt, over and over again, and every time this happened, the version of Rowan that emerged was growing stranger.

For a long time, he had been keeping his humanoid body as his primary appearance, but that was not his real form, and during his slumber, his body began changing into something new and terrible.

The most striking change, however, was not on his body but was occurring a few thousand miles above his head.

At first, it began like sparks, which soon exploded into a floating, fragmented halo that shone with a pale alien light.

The appearance of this halo was undoubtedly a crown, and if Rowan were awake, he would notice that this crown was made from shattered dimensions, each displaying a different view of Reality.

Every time Rowan’s dimensional flesh was shattered and remade, not all of him was brought into the new iteration of his body; the part of his flesh that was discarded was too powerful to be disposed of. Instead, they began to gather into a crown above his head.

This crown surged with all the endless possibilities that were never meant to be, and each of these possibilities held power that could not be destroyed, and gathering above Rowan, they accelerated his transition into a new life form. It was as if an extra source of computational ability had been added to the mix, and his ascension surged.

Rowan would have seen the similarities of this crown with the Supreme Circles, but where the Supreme Circle had covered only the power of Intent and Wills, this crown covered everything, including the control of dimensions and realities that Primordials could not touch.

As the crown over Rowan’s head solidified, a line appeared in the Primordial Record: The Reality Crown.
