Chapter 1464 Freezing The Ocean

Chapter 1464 Freezing The Ocean

‘It was a weird thing; Rowan admitted to himself, ‘to see a version of you being pummeled by mortals, and be glad that it is happening!

He knew it could not last, these brave mortals had gone above and beyond what they should be capable of. He was the one who made the tunes, calculated the power and Aether that could be channeled by them, even adjusting it far past their limits in case of any last-minute fluctuation of power that would come as a result of extreme emotions that was usually present at the end of life.

However, what was happening here was far above his expectations and they were all exuding such great power from their every act that he was forced to witness, Rowan himself, probably the greatest immortal at his present dimensional level and beyond it, the Eclipsed Immortal, Watcher over all of creation, the Beginning and the End of all things, he was forced to watch this mortals battle and acknowledge that he was wrong.

Whatever was happening inside this Fracture had transformed into something new. No longer an exploration of his weaknesses, it had become a chance for him to understand his past failures.

These seven warriors, all mortals, all beset by frailties that Rowan knew about but had slowly forgotten their significance with his ever-growing omnipotence, were showing him that although he was a titan whose careless footsteps could crush their world in an instant, they were still important, their stories needed to be told, their lives had meaning, and if he was a higher power, the least he could do was witness their glory and acknowledge their sacrifices.

And what better way to know and understand this than if he was a mortal.

In the actions of these seven, he could hear them as if they were screaming inside his head,

“Remember us, even though we are small and frail and our lives may be as brief as a mayfly, we are your foundations, and our glory shines bright.”

Rowan looked upwards, beyond the storm and the lightning and the chaos and the screams of battle…

“Is this the foundation of the sixth dimension?… Am I building my Memory?”

His eyes shone bright as something clicked in his mind, ‘Did those bastards throw me inside the Memory of Primordial Life? Surely they cannot be that stupid! Elura had been silent ever since Seed threw Romion’s mortal body into the Memory of Primordial Life. She had entered this place at the peak of the fifth-dimensional level, and she remembered how close she had been to death, there was no reason that she could expect her survival, there had been millions before her and there were many more after she had experienced the Memory and she was the only one that had survived.

Describing the state she was inside this ocean as close to death was an

understatement, she had blown past the gate of death and it was her Will that drew her back. A Will that she had found inside that place that had carried her all the way until she became an Old One.

It solidified her grasp on her bloodline in a way that even her father did not understand and that was the reason she wanted to give Rowan every opportunity to harvest as much Primordial Essence from the ocean of Memory as he could without any interference from the Eldarah, however, the actions of Seed could have destabilized her entire plans. Her son was special, but everything had a limit.

How was a mortal supposed to survive the Memory of a Primordial while carrying enough trauma to drown a million immortals? And if she understood Romion, he was holding much more baggage behind the scenes.

However, after all the time she had spent with her father and what she knew of him over the years, she would admit that he was undoubtedly insane even as much as he was brilliant, and this was not his fault, he was born this way, and his nature would never change, but this did not scare Elura, instead it served as a form of comfort, if the Eldarah knew the sort of person they had lived with for all these years, they would band together to destroy him, but it was already too late, with her presence, the powers of Seed had grown and if Romion was to survive, then the Eldarah would no longer have a chance, the Land of Miracle would be theirs.

She would always choose her father because she believed in his vision.

Yet still, she could not help but wonder, with so much riding on this attempt, why would Seed go out of his way to make things even harder for her son, even if he claimed that his talent was beyond anything he had ever seen.

“You think I have pushed this lad, but I still suspect he holds back, and this knowledge frustrates me to no end. Why do I think no matter the trial I put in his place, he is still toying with them? Don’t you see, even till the end, he did not even try to display his fucking Will.”

These words from her father rang true, and no matter how Elura tried to slice it, Romion was still holding back, even after he was dragged to this level.

To her father, this was a challenge against his authority, but Elura had grown up from a mortal to an Old One, and she saw the actions of Rowa-Romion, in another light, and what she inferred was disturbing, it was almost as if…

Thunder rumbled and the surrounding space went still, Elura’s breath misted over and created ice crystals in the air, and her perception swept around her, almost in slow motion she turned towards Seed, and she saw the beginning of confusion in his blank eyes, this was something that he did not expect.

“What is that?!” Zerak, one of the Eldarah pointed towards the green ocean, her fingers tracking to the skies where a distinct shadow was beginning to form, and they resembled eyes.

The skies above the green ocean were one of the most beautiful celestial scenery in all of existence.

Stars and dimensions, of all colors and shapes, were the reflections from countless dimensions, most were unknown, and only a fraction of these lights were recognized, but anyone who stood here and saw the skies above the Memory of Primordial Life would be left in awe at the enormity of existence and the knowledge that no matter how much time passes for them and how much they discovered, they would barely be able to scratch the surface of what reality could offer.

Even the Old Ones looked to these skies with veneration in their hearts but now what were these two spots of darkness that were beginning to cover all of creation? “The ocean!” someone among the retinue of the Eldarah cried out, “It… it… freezing?” At the spot where Rowan had been thrown by Seed, the still green waters that had remained the same since the beginning of the Supreme Era began to change, at first the slight movements from the minor flow of the tides went completely still and then the ocean began to freeze, and in the blink of an eye, it transformed into a gigantic frozen mirror that resembled a gleaming emerald gem.
