The Plant Master Becomes A Mute Sub-Beast: Farming And Laying Eggs
Chapter 290: The Trajectory
"Heavenly Dao, since when did you develop a habit of peeking like that?"
The golden phantom chuckled, saying: "Life is too boring, I have to find something to entertain myself, right?" His gaze cast down looking at Kaelen and Sane meaningfully: "I did not expect you two to become a couple."
Sane glared: "None of your business. Speak, does the matter of our Divine souls being sealed and the ten-year time difference between the two worlds have anything to do with you? I even thought you were swapped!"
The Heavenly Dao exclaimed: "So unjust, although I like playing practical jokes a bit I wouldn’t dare to casually toy with you two. Furthermore I am not easily swapped like that." He raised his index finger, pointing upward. Everyone tacitly understood who He was referring to.
Kaelen frowned: "Why?"
"An eyesore to you all, that’s why. What have you all done since birth, I don’t need to tell you, right? If the world wasn’t almost wiped out by that outsider, you arrogant bunch wouldn’t even bother to show your faces. He did not create you for you to stand up high enjoying everything yet doing nothing."
Finnick remaining silent from the beginning until now spoke coldly: "We still operate the world according to our duties, why say we do nothing?"
The Heavenly Dao shook his head: "Life oh Life, you are the creator of life but you disregard life the most. As long as you all still hold onto that thought, you will never understand His intention."
He lazily stretched his body, saying to Sane and Kaelen:
"Actually it’s not that you wandered in the space passage or that the time flow is different, but that you slept for exactly ten years. Not only you two, any Deity returning to the Great World falls into a slumber. You can only awaken when someone in the world believes in you again."
The Heavenly Dao clasped his hands behind his back, sighing saying: "Want to re-establish the order? It will be a very long time." Finishing that sentence He disappeared from the sea of consciousness, leaving a silent void.
The eight people in the sea of consciousness looked at each other, no one saying a word to anyone.
A very long time later, Edward finally smiled bitterly: "No wonder I looked forever but couldn’t see the Trajectory of the world. It turns out, it wasn’t hidden, but it was never born in the first place. How can something that was never born grow up..."
Kaelen leaned sadly against Sane’s chest, saying hoarsely: "I suddenly do not know where to start. He never told us what to do, I suddenly feel so lost."
Sane hugged his mate, remaining silent. A moment later his eyes suddenly flashed, saying:
"It’s not that the Trajectory hasn’t been born, Edward. It was born with us, and also grew up with us. It’s just because it’s attached to us that you couldn’t see it."
The seven people simultaneously looked toward Sane, asking him with their eyes. Sane opened his hands:
"Think about the Divine Seats He arranged for us. Nature, Life, War, Rules, Knowledge, Light, Darkness, and Destiny. Look, isn’t that exactly a development Trajectory?"
Ignis pondered for a moment, then waved his hand, a gold-covered book appearing before him. The book turned its pages one by one without anyone using their hands. The space was only filled with the steady sound of turning pages, after an unknown amount of time, Ignis finally spoke:
"There must be earth and water before there is life. Only with life can there be conflict, endless conflict necessitates setting rules, only with rules can knowledge accumulate. From knowledge, light and darkness are born. And destiny seems to stand outside, but it is the thing that runs through the world’s development process. These things combined together, are exactly a trajectory."
The others also realized the marvel in it, covering their faces smiling bitterly:
"Since birth, we have been an inseparable trajectory. But we became more and more isolated from each other, each living their own lives, the trajectory also gradually deviating without us knowing when. The world kept standing still in one place refusing to advance, making Him angry."
Sunlight asked bewilderedly: "Then what should we do now? How must we walk to bring the trajectory back exactly to its original starting point?"
Everyone looked toward Kaelen, the one born earliest. Kaelen massaged his forehead, saying:
"Let’s just do it the way we have been doing recently. Ignis’s method is a bit extreme, interfering too much with mortals’ cause and effect, but it’s not entirely wrong. You all must restrain the Beastman Continent’s development first, at least before the Great World catches up on its own, do not let the Beastman Continent rise too high."
"Edward, just proceed according to the original plan first, bring two thousand elites over here. Remember clearly, do not bring anyone with Divine Energy over. We do not have time to wait for them to wake up."
Edward nodded: "Yes, I understand fathers."
Sane added: "With technology developing so preeminently, there must be a new communication channel, right? Having only one Divine soul connection left, is truly insufficient."
Ignis scratched his head: "I used eldest brother Edward’s [Multidimensional Space Connection] system to create a text messaging application. But I am just afraid the signal might be blocked. I’ll tell someone to bring it over first, if it can’t be used, I’ll figure out a way to improve it later."
Sane nodded, hugging Kaelen, saying: "Then you all go back to work, I and your father will go set up the coordinates."
Kaelen smiled brightly: "We are looking forward to the day we meet you all again."
The projections of the two gradually faded, then went out completely.
Ignis shivered once, hugging his body with both hands: "Did you guys feel Papa’s smile was a bit creepy?"
No one said anything, tacitly understanding each other. Oliver suddenly said:
"Eldest brother, our fathers probably still don’t know that you and Brother Ryder are together, right? Why don’t you two run away while they still don’t know?"
Edward rubbed his forehead having a headache: "I already anticipated the matter of being strung up and beaten by Papa and Daddy the moment I accepted Ryder’s proposal. Let it be, I can’t escape anyway, let’s just let nature take its course."
The five siblings looked at their eldest brother with pitiful eyes, but thinking about their own situations which were probably not much better than Edward’s, the whole group drooped their shoulders. Each projection gradually disappeared, each returning to their own body, thinking of ways to restrain the Beastman Continent’s development.
Edward woke up last, looking at the person resting peacefully in his embrace, helplessly rubbing Ryder’s head. The little mouse being disturbed, mumbled something in his mouth, then continued to sleep soundly. Edward smiled affectionately, placed a kiss on Ryder’s forehead, then gently left the bed.
He needed to dispatch people to guard the connection signal of the teleportation array’s anchor point at the Crimson Shrine, then select two thousand elites of the existing professions.
Choosing people required selecting those with virtue aside from choosing talented individuals. He could not let the living beings in the Great World develop animosity toward the living beings on the Beastman Continent, thereby generating resistance leading to the merging of the two Continents becoming difficult.
...
The Great World.
Kaelen and Sane woke up, their faces still bearing a sad expression.
The children’s actions turned their plans completely upside down.
Previously thinking they would let this world develop slowly, merging the two continents together after about twenty years. Now the Beastman Continent had achieved super-technological success, while the Great World was still in the Medieval European civilization, they had to bust their asses to balance the civilization between the two worlds.
Having no mood to be affectionate with each other anymore, their figures flashed once, disappearing from the Temple of War. A second later, they appeared in Lyra city.
The food cooked from yesterday noon had all gone bad, Kaelen had to throw it into the food waste bin. The notable thing was that the cream cake he painstakingly made yesterday had vanished into thin air.
There were still traces of Divine Energy fluctuations on the refrigerator handle, and in this world besides the two of them, only the Heavenly Dao had Divine Energy. Kaelen angrily pointed at the sky cursing loudly.
[You two bastards being affectionate made the Law so noisy it wanted to run away from home, I had to exhaust myself coaxing it. One cream cake in exchange for the Law’s stability is not too much, right. And next time you plan to flirt with each other remember to cover it up, the Law’s mind is only like a five-year-old child’s. Do not corrupt children!]
Kaelen immediately slumped. Sane rubbed his head comforting him:
"It’s gone so be it, we will make it again another time. You go fix the coordinates, I will go see how those people are doing."
Kaelen nodded. The two kissed goodbye then separated, each doing their own work.
